Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
Ahhh...One of those songs from way back when I was a teenager. I feel old knowing this song is about as old my brother, but I still enjoy it, and I'm sure you do to. It's a popular karaoke song, and it's one of the songs I imagine when I catch people singing at the wheel.

I don't dislike the cover, but it's just not the same. They take away the sing-along-ability (I made that up) of the song, and change the entire mood of it. They made it their own, and it sounds good, but it just doesn't compare to the original song.

I definately prefer the NFG version of Kiss Me, and I'm not one that usually likes covers. They took the song and completely changed the tone, style and energy of it to make it their own song. It's a lot more danceable and there's still sing-a-longability (I like your choice of made up word!). My only problem with it is that Jordan from NFG has a really whiney voice, and that takes away the sweetness that comes through from the original vocal.

Oh My GAWDD!! I absotively LOVE this song.

For me, it's all about the original version. It's something to do with Leigh Nash's vocal style. She sounds so innocent, and pure. Almost like it's about her first true love. Whereas, with NFG you get a pop-punk, whiny song. It's almost as though they heard an amazing song and said, "Hey, we can cover that, and make it totally punk!!!!1". They put little to no effort into it, just took the lyrics and decided to give the beat their "trademark".

So, yeah, it's all about the original for ol' Dewey. Also, Leigh Nash is absolutely gorgeous, so that doesn't hurt either.

I prefer the original.

I don't dislike the cover either because it is a good example of the whole pop-punk movement, which I am not too adversed to. The problem is that the lead singer is not someone who should be singing this song, if you ask me. The singer from the original version just suits this song to a tee and really made it her own. This meant that people were always going to struggle to make a better version than has already been made. I personally think that it is one of the better covers out there but I still remember the first one and how I felt whenever it came on the radio etc. It is a fine song and one that will always have fond memories for me. Unfortunately, bands like New Found Glory will never be able to match that with any cover of this song they decide to put out.

Original all the way.
