OMEGA Stable

While most of us probably never went to an OMEGA show back in the 90's (which for those of you who don't know, is the promotion that the Hardys started), no one can deny that the small promotion bred some big names such as the Hardys themselves, Lita, Joey Mercury, Helms, and even Shannon Moore. My question is, after this whole Matt/Jeff feud passes, could an OMEGA stable in the WWE actually be a possibility?

I think this could happen if stables became popular again, I mean just look at the facts.Helms and the Hardys are there, Moore and Joey could be brought back as they have before, and some of the other guys wrestling in independents that once worked or never worked for WWE could be brought in to provide for some fresh faces both temporarily (C.W. Anderson, Lita, Steve Corino) and maybe long term (Kirby Mack, Christian York). Most of the very small roster from OMEGA has had something to do with the WWE for the last 15 years, and there doesn't seem to be any bad blood between anyone. It wouldn't do much to the Hardy's careers but it would give Helms and anyone else involved more time in the spotlight that most of them deserve.

Seeing as Legacy will undoubtedly become bigger when it is eventually combined with the newly founded Hart trilogy (which I guarantee will happen by the end of the year), OMEGA could be brought in to remedy a "reign of terror" by Legacy. With motivation such as OMEGA being a legacy without hiding in their father's shadows, or some bullshit like that, it could provide opportunities for numerous feuds in addition to pushing superstarts that have stuck around for a while, such as Matt vs Orton, Lita vs Natalya, new guys or moore and helms vs priceless. I mean theres a lot to work with here...

This can't see this working. First of all, a stable with both Hardys and Lita in it will never be considered anything more than Team Xtreme or Hardy Boyz version 2.0. The other reason I don't think it'll work is because it's just not well known enough by the majority of wrestling fans. To be honest, I kind of knew that OMEGA was the Hardy's promotion, and I knew they were friends with Helms and Moore, but I didn't realize they all came out of the same promotion, and I definitely didn't know Lita came out of OMEGA. I guarantee you if they threw Helms in with the Hardys one night on Smackdown for a 6 man tag match or something, hardly anybody in the arena would be thinking, "Oh man! All these guys were in OMEGA together!" I feel like it's too late in all of these wrestler's careers to throw them in a stable based on some obscure fact about their history. While your idea is interesting, I don't think it could actually work in the WWE.

Meh. No one would care. It'd nothing more than Jeff and Matt overcoming their differences, with random people thrown in. Sure, the few of us may know that it isn't really random at all, but to the typical fan it'd just be Matt, Jeff, (Lita if she shows up again), and some random people they either don't remember from their first runs in the WWE or they don't know from their work anywhere else.

Simply, it'd be nothing more than a new stable that is formed around Jeff and Matt Hardy. They could even call it OMEGA, no one would get the reference. Though it could very well work if they could get the new people in the stable over. But that could be difficult, considering the reason they were dropped in the first place is because they weren't over with the crowd.

Nah. Virtually nobody would know what the roots were without some intensly modified explanation shoved down our throats. And Lita started in ECW as Miss Congeniality and burped farted n picked her nose alot.

If Lita comes back she should be paired with Edge because I found him more enjoyable when she was his bitch and not Vickie Guerrero. Lita is hot, Vickie is loud and annoying. It's no wonder Eddie Guerrero just fell over one day after hearing that shrill voice for so many years.
They could do an OMEGA invasion, and it'd be just as good as the Alliance invasion, which as we all know was garbage.

Two things wrong with that.... Greggory Helm was holding the cruiserweight title in wcw while Matt and jeff were just fucking around in their back yard.....

Two..... Tyson kid was trained in the dungeon.... But he is not Brets seed.... or anyone from the hart family! Tyson Kid is not a Legacy!

But other then that it seemed like an entertaining Idea!

I really don't think anyone would care too much about this. Come on, it's really just a glorified Hardy Boyz.

People would care about Matt and Jeff teaming up again. Most people would absolutlely love it. The idea of the Hardys sorting out their differences, teaming up once again, and dominating the tag division like "the good old days". Hardys vs Colons, Hardys vs Legacy etc. It would be good stuff. And seeing tag team TLC matches again would be nice, cause despite what people think, I still say tag TLCs are better than one on one TLCs. TLC 2 should prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt. Having them together again wold make them money in the short term. In the short term.

In the long run, it wouldn't be a very wise move. I believe that the Hardys make more money for WWE apart, doing their own thing than they would make tag teaming, especially now. We've seen the Hardys at the top of the tag team division many times when the tag division was good. We don't particularly wanna see them dominate a tag division where there's only 2 or 3 credible teams. What most people would much rather see is Hardy winning his second WWE title. And alot of people are enjoying what Matt Hardy is doing now and that shouldn't be ruined by Matt turning face and crawling back to Jeff.

And if you look at the potential members of the stable, it doesn't sound so good. Shannon Moore was never taken seriously, at his height he was second fiddle to Matt during Matt's cruiserweight run. No one cares about him, hence why he was fired.
Helms, at the moment, seems to be clinging to his job by a thread. Since his return he hasn't done anything note worthy. In fact, perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't think he's had a match since.... Well, since he beat MVP when MVP was still doing is losing streak. Maybe putting him in this stable would give him something to do, but that reason itself is not good enough to go ahead with the stable idea.
And no one would even know who any of your other suggestions, making it hard for people to ever care about this stable.

The Hardys are doing very well apart, and I don't think they need to lead a stable. And even if they did, I don't think they could do it successfully without other big names and with their combined lack of any real main event experience.

Once Matt and Jeff team up again, everybody is going to forget the others just like that and focus on those two. Matt is trying to come into his own as a heel and I think that will be a one or two year project and Jeff may be gone then so it wouldn't be a good idea.

Stable.... not team
accually that could work!
Just it would have to be co-ran by both hardys
Maybe matt has his choice of warriors and Jeff has his! It could make an interesting survivor series match
Matt and Jeff could still fued!

I like the idea of a stable that would counter Legacy. Just not this one. I'm not shitting on the idea, I like the concept of the idea, but I agree with everyone that no one would know who they were at one time nor care. They would need to package up a long series of vignettes showing old matches and such to make it relevant and by then no one would care, they just want to see the Hardyz do their thing.

The idea of a stable countering Legacy is a good one though. I will give you that much. It would have to be other young upstarts and not so much established guys (maybe one, like Orton is to Legacy so people give a shit about it). The only real stable you could do with the current Raw guys is maybe the Colons, Kingston and drag out Sim Snuka. Carlito is not a huge name but at least he is an established name. But all these guys are generally laid back so it would be like watching Seth Rogen and James Franco from Pineapple Express trying to cause havoc on Legacy. Then again, an all out stable of guys that hail from tropical islands might have some basis of formation.
