Old Schooly PPV Review-Vengeance 2001

This is my second review of a small, old-school PPV. The PPV of Today is Vengeance 2001. This PPV took place on December 9th, 2001, and had 9 matches on the card, with 7 being for titles. we had 2 Tag Team Matches, 5 Singles matches, a hardcore match, and a match with a special guest ref.

Bad, don't watch, not really worth mentioning

2nd Contest-Edge (c) Vs. William Regal
Intercontinental Championship

Winner: Edge

Nothing too special. These 2 have had better. skip this one.

3rd Contest-Matt Hardy Vs. Jeff Hardy with Lita as guest ref.

Time: 12:32

Winner: Jeff Hardy

Their recent matches are way better than this. Don't watch

4th Contest-The Dudleys (Bubba Ray & D-Von) (c) Vs. Big Show & Kane
World Tag Team Championships

Oh boy, we're scraping the bottom of the shit barrel. Don't even think about the match.

5th Contest-RVD (c) Vs. Undertaker-Hardcore Match
Hardcore Championship

Time: 11:04

Rating ******

Winner: Undertaker

a solid match, and a breath of fresh air from the other matches. Taker was actually Hardcore champion for almost 2 months...wow.

6th Contest-Jacqueline Vs. Trish Stratus (c)
Women's Championship

Time: 03:26

Rating 1/2*

Winner: Trish Stratus

About as good as the tag match...which means it's bad. don't think of this match. moving on.

7th Contest-Steve Austin (c) Vs. Kurt Angle
WWF Championship

Time: 15:01

Rating: *******

Winner: Steve Austin

a really good match between these 2, but these 2 have had better (Like at summerslam earlier that year), but this still worth watching.

8th Contest-The Rock (c) Vs. Chris Jericho
WCW Championship

Time: 19:05

Rating: ********

Winner: Chris Jericho

Best match of the night, a really good match, with action and thrills. worth the watch

Main Event-Steve Austion (WWF Champion) Vs. Chris Jericho (WCW Champion)
Undisputed Championship

Time: 12:31

Rating: ******1/2

Winner: Chris Jericho

a good match, and it saw the crowning of the first undisputes champion. but nothing unbeliveble. But it didn't need to be. everyone just wanted to see a new champion, and that's what it did.

Overall:****

While their are good matches here, they are outweighted by the bad. Watch the final 3 and the hardcore match. Skip everything else.

I'm confused, this is a discussion forum is it not? U are reviewing and reminding us of a BAD ppv here I don't get it :s shud I be agreeing or something? Its fairly historical in that it crowned the first ever undisputed champion and that jericho beat austin and the rock in the same night, that's it.

No, you don't have to agree. It's your opinion on something. (Unless it's shawn Vs. Taker at 25, then it's fact) and people can discuss about the topic. did that answer your question?

i don't get it thought its not really a review because you aren't reviewing the matches your just running through a 7/8 year old ppv and telling us it is shit...why?

It's the way I review things. I want people to see matches i recomend, I think describing a match takes away from it. and this is the old-school section, and there are many reviews here.

The PPV itself was ok, it was cool to see Jerich win the title after he got screwed over by Triple H on "that" episode of Raw.
Some still argue it was the wrong choice, and they have some good arguements to back it up. But Jericho put on a hell of a performance, going back to back against two of the most intense performers at the time and having damn good matches.
And in fairness, not that many people cared about the undercard, as it was all about the title unification, but there were some decent matches on there.

Now, I'm gonna review a review.
Firstly, that wasn't a review. You're supposed to give reasons for your opinions. That's the point of a review, encouraging or discouraging someone to buy something. If you don't give reasons for your opinions why the hell should people care? You could've made those opinons up on the spot.
And wrestling matches are supposed to be marked on a 5 star system, I think many people will be confused when they see you've given Regal vs Edge 5 stars...
