Dark Match Jobber
This is a new series of thread i'll be doing about old school PPV's.

We start with Backlash 2007.

Unlike other reviewers (Like KB, who is a great reviewer), i'm not gonna go into detail about the matches, or talk about the promos or interview. Just the matches. and with the matches, i'll tell the time, and my thoughts of the match, including a 10 star scale rating system, including halfs. This is the way I review. if you don't like it, then don't read. thanks for reading. This event took place on April 29, 2007, and had 6 matches on the card. They were all title matches, with a tag team match, 2 standard 1 v 1 matches, a 3-1 handicap match, a last man standing match, and a fatal 4 way. We open with the tag team match

Opening Contest-The Hardys (Matt & Jeff) (c) Vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
World Tag Team Championships

Time: 15:17

Winners: The Hardys

Rating: ******1/2

A nice opening contest, and a good tag match. Both teams worked there hardest, and Cade & Murdoch showed they could hang with the big team.

2nd Contest-Melina (c) Vs. Mickie James
Women's Championship

Time: 09:01

Rating: *****1/2

A good divas match (By todays standards) Melina and Mickie are 2 great preformers and had some nice back and forth action.

3rd Contest-Chris Benoit (c) vs. MVP
U.S Championship

Time: 13:10

Rating: ******

MVP and Benoit had great chemistry, as shown in their Wrestlemania match, and while this match was good, lacked the power and action of their last match. Good and solid, but not their best.

4th Contest-Mr. McMahon, Shane McMahon & Umaga Vs. Bobby Lashley (c)-Handicap Tag
ECW Championship

Time: 15:45

Winners:Umaga, Shane & Vince

Rating: ****1/2

Like most handicap matches, not that good. Not horrible, but not recomended

5th Contest-Undertaker (c) Vs. Batista-Last Man Standing
World Heavyweight Championship

Time: 20:30

Rating: ********

A Great last man standing match. not as good as there wrestlemania match, but a great match worth the watch.

Main Event-John Cena (c) Vs. Randy Orton Vs. Edge Vs. Shawn Michaels-Fatal 4 way
WWE Championship

Time: 18:55

Winner: John Cena

Rating: *********

The absolute best fatal 4 way match in WWE History. Great action, everyone put there all, and the ending was clever and creative, and made no one look weak. watch it right now.

Overall: *******

The last 2 matches are very good, and while the first 3 are solid, there hard to recomend. watch the last 2 matches, and watch the first 3, and have your opinions. Don't watch the handicap match.

I hope everyone liked this thread, and i'll only be focusing on small PPVs. thanks for reading, and I hoped you enjoyed.

I was actually at Backlash that year in Atlanta. Being there I remember thoroughly enjoying the card, but later I went back and watched the DVD, and remember being somewhat disappointed. As is the case usually in Atlanta. I don't know if Vince still holds a grudge against us, being it was once WCW/NWA country? The only great card I've actually watched here was the Royal Rumble in 2002.

I'll never forget watching the Undertaker and Batista fall off the stage, that match was definitely one of the top of the night. I just don't care for Batista, but it was great that he didn't win. I loved watching Benoit [for my first, and unfortunately, last time] in action. That was probably my favorite match of the evening, because I was such a huge Benoit fan. The fatal four way was a great match, the ending was just a bit weak for my taste, seeing as the only guy I didn't want to see walk away with the WWE title, did.

Overall it was a good PPV, and just goes to show you the WWE is always more fun live, and in person.
