[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

Not really MRC. The original plan was to have Danielson win NXT eventually and then take the US title from the Miz, but they decided to cut back NXT's season dramatically and have it end in June instead of September. Which means basically they're just going to bring Danielson straight up to either Raw or Smackdown now, which is good news for me as a fan of his. No more waiting til' NXT is over atleast. Also, if he uses his real name...well, that would be excellent as well.

Not really big on the whole sarcasm thing in America are you?

I watched about the first 2 hours of the PPV before the stream I had cut out, and I decided I'd just wait for the PPV to be uploaded online later to watch the final match on the card, the Styles-RVD match. I also missed probably half of the Jeff Hardy-Anderson match so I'm going to re-watch that as well after Raw. The first two hours of the show really didn't do much for me outside of the Doug Williams-Kazarian match, which I thought was pretty damn good, ***1/2 match atleast. How was the main event?

Definite yay. I was kind of skeptical at first simply because it seemed like a cop-out, but the way they executed it and explained it and the way they book-ended it with Jack's death was just perfect. The more I think about it, the more I'm liking the ending.

I'm with you 100%

There isn't another way they could have ended it it. You got character resolution and a certain degree of island resolution. It's mind blowing that people are asking ''so they all died in the plane crash. I knew it from the beginning''. There is no proper face palm that would properly display the stupidity of that.

The alt..wasn't an alt. It wasn't in a certain time or place. It was the absolute essence of everything. It was what was in the heart of the island manifested. There doesn't need to be much sense made fro the alt because it's not in a logical realm. Some people will say that it was Jack's alt but I think that it was all of the survivors. They were connected so strongly in life that it transcended through death. It was their in between. Just like thoe whole show, the end is very open to opinion on theories, which is the true beauty of it. The managed to embody what the show was about at it's core.

I loved that fucking end. For all of it's incredible moments, they really pulled something off that is so beyond a television show with the finale. I could obviously go on and on.

I'm not sure now. If you rewatch the finale, there's about 6 instances where someone says to Jack "You can let go now" or "I hope you find some peace."

I know. Which part aren't you sure of? That they didn't die when 815 crashed? They definitely didn't. Not only would that be incredibly anti-climactic but also just really stupid. Christian said that some died before him, some after. Automatically that means they didn't die at the same time so it couldn't have been the crash. Jack's dad that everything was real and their lives, all of it reall happened.

The whole alt thing (not sure what to cal it anymore) is hard to wrap your mind around if you think about it too chronologically or in the 3rd dimension. Their importance to and love for one another made sure that they all moved on together. Whatever the ''alt'' really was is for every fan to decide on their own. There is obvious religious tones to it, but it's also so abstact. That's why there was no real time flow in the alt. Locke spent about a week there after 815 landed and yet The Kwon's were kidnapped and shot and left the hospital 48 hours after 815 landed. It wasn't a real place with a real flow of time or any sensical qualities. It was created by the essence of whatever was on the island. Some say the spark of life or the completeness of everything: life, death, rebirth and so on. Ben decided to stay because he wanted to move on with Alex and Rousseau because he hadn't finished what he had messed up in his life. Michael wasn't there because he was tied to the island, forever in ''alt'' of his own until he can redeem what he had done.

It's best to look at the ''alt'' end as some sort of affirtmation for not only what happened happened but the entire sense of purpose the show has given us for these characters. The island went on with Hurley and Ben. Kate and everyone who left on 316 presumeably went on to live their lives and one day died. Either way, they all found each other in the end. Jack always told them to live together or they're going to die alone. The lived together and made more impacts on each others lives than they knew.

Of course there are still questions. Lindleof and Cuse stated that some more answers would be given on the complete collection set when it comes out. I also think though that there are less questions then people think there is.

I'm talking about how I think the "FST" was somewhat Jack centric. He was the last to remember anything, and every hint towards "Moving on" was directed at him. Locke said it to him, Rose, etc.

This. I'm in total agreement that while there are still questions, there aren't half as many as people seem to believe there are. I still see the "So the whole island was them dead?" thing popping up even though people such as yourself have shot it down very well.

Okay I get what you're saying. Like, it was more like Jack's in between rather than all of them? Like it was Jack's moving on to wherever. It could be but I don't think it is. All of the Losties had ongoing stories in the ''alt''. They all had to overcome things that they were flawed for in their lives; Jack letting go and having faith, Locke letting go of his past and what had been done to him. Kate had issues of never belonging, always running and not having a home or purpose. That's why one of the greatest things she had ever done in helping Claire give birth triggered her memory. It's not even a memory really. In many religions, people have to make a breakthrough in the ''in between'' of life and death. Once they do they become aware of their lives and past and can go forward to a more perfect existence. Very much like what happened n the in the finale.

Christian said there was no here or now. If it was meant to be Jack's particular ''alt'' then he wouldn't have said that because it would have been right after he died.

Questions that have been answered but for whatever reasons people didn't get it:

-birthing problems on the island
-who were the others and why were they there
-why were they chosen by Jacob in particular
-what is the light on the island and why it needs to be protected
-the season 2 food drop
-who built the FDW
-why MIB killed Eko the second time they met

There are a ton more that I can't think of. There are of course some stuff that I'm curious about:

-Walt and his abilities
-who built the statue
-what was up with the ashes
-and some more

The funny thing is that many questions should be answered personally rather than any definitive answeres. Most of the answers would just lead to more questions. If they explain who built the statue then people are going to ask why and when and how.

They explained why pregnant chicks die on the island, but didn't explain why it's happening, or why Amy didn't die. It's probably just Jacob being a cunt cause he couldn't be with his mommy.

Radiation+extreme levels of electromagnetism= terrible place to give birth :)

Honestly that's it. Radiation from jughead going off caused the problem. That's really all there is too that I think. Amy didn't die because it was pre-jughead.
