In case you haven't heard, there's a tribute on the show to John Hughes, and also to Horror films if you can believe that or not (it was going great until they showed something from fucking Twilight).

But yeah... post here what you think of that, and Steve Martin/Alec Baldwin's performance. Interested in hearing what you have to say.

Sounds cool, just started watching it right now. Wow the girl from Precious just smiled, didn't think that was possible. Hey look, Christoph Waltz!

I'm actually happy she won. I like the chick a lot, and her performance looks great, IMO. I'll be seeing it within the next couple of weeks.

I saw bits and pieces and wasn't very impressed. Is it a good performance? Sure. Best Actress material? Abso-fucking-lutely not, how difficult is it to play a tough southern woman? I can see that shit on Lifetime every day if I want to. So many other people deserved it so much more, not the least of which was the girl from Precious. Just yet another case of the Academy giving someone an award because of their name and not because of the actual merits of their performance.

She should have won for Point Break. That movie was fucking awesome.

I was so happy. Tdigs took so many popshots at Tarantino throughout the LD, and it was going to be a shame to have to see Tarantino hand out an Oscar to the douchebag (QT presented the award). But alas, Haneke didn't win.

Lol frankly I'd rather be a "mediocre" filmmaker as TDigs calls Tarantino and still be a nice and funny guy like Tarantino is, then be the most brilliant filmmaker ever like he thinks Haneke is and be the biggest fucking douchebag on planet earth. I like Haneke's films, I really do, but my god he is just a collossal naive piece of shit who comes off like a half-cocked fourth rate Michael Moore without a touch of Moore's humor or wit with his irrational hatred of everything American.

I like Michael Haneke's films. As a person, he's about as big of a pretentious naive douchebag as I've ever seen. Frankly I'd like to shake his hand for his great films, and then square up and kick him directly in the testicles as hard as I possibly could for being such an arrogant turd.

Maybe to them, Twilight IS a horror movie. It does have Kristen Stewart in it, which in and of itself is pretty frightening

Speak for yourself, I think Kristen Stewart is absolutely beautiful and damn talented as well. Never seen the Twilight films though.




Random Oscar viewing sidenote: there is NO reason Helen Mirren should look that good at that age. I'd fuck the Queen.

You're going to love Impact dude. Straight up one of the best Impacts I've ever seen, just absolutely awesome from start to finish.

TNA was hella beasty tonight. However, Stone Cold is coming back next week and I can safely say that I'll be DVRing TNA and watching Raw.

Even though Austin is probably my favorite wrestler and I marked for him like no other a a kid, after tonight's Impact I'm going to be watching Impact next week and DVRing Raw. I love Austin to death, but I've seen him come back for the sporadic Wrestlemania appearances on Raw before, I doubt I'll miss anything big. He'll come out, stun McMahon, drink some beers, and end the show. I'll mark out for it big time cause I'm an Austin mark, but I'm far more excited to tune into Impact.
