I'm liking the first song so far. Mainly because he managed to rhyme about murder and Captain Kirk in the first few bars. This song would sound ridiculous in a car with a good system. Lots of drum breaks, some nice down-south shit. Shit I like this first song alot.

Nah the first song that I really liked was Swag Surfin' but the second song that was kind of cliche standard shit was Ice Cream. I was disappointed, I thought he was going to be rhyming over Raekwon's Ice Cream.
I'll definitely let you know my thoughts once I'm done. I used to really like Wayne about five years ago but I've just lost touch with him and his mainstream shit that I've heard since then has all been pretty fucking terrible. Mixtapes are more my style anyways, more focus on the actual rapping usually.

Yeah, after Carter 3, like him or not, he's becoming a modern-day 2Pac in terms of how he's viewed in society, not in his music. This was the nail in the coffin.

Oh yeah can't deny his popularity. I just don't think you could put him near Tupac or Biggie when it comes to that larger-than-life rapper, mainly because even at his best he was never as lyrically good as those two. Nothing to be ashamed of though, very few are.
If fucking Lil Wayne is the new Tupac, who's the new Biggie? An what the fuck, Lil Wayne can't be the new Tupac I've never heard him write an intelligent or introspective song before.
