The instrumental albums (Ghosts) aren't so bad for that. All the goodness of NIN music without the fucking depressing Trent Reznor lyrics. That's what I've got playing. I prefer instrumentals when I read. Vocals distract me.

Oh hell yes. For months and months my avatar was the Spock one. I love Trek to death, I used to be a diehard Star Wars fan as a kid, finally got into the series a few years ago, and have been addicted to the entire universe ever since. I think you underrated TOS though, I fucking love TOS to death, it's always been my favorite. TNG is so close though it's really hard to say one is better than the other. I'm glad you share my love for DS9 as well, I LOVE how dark that show was, for some reason nothing relaxes me more than watching a DS9 episode at 2-3 in the morning, reminds me of all the shows I used to go to and come back at like 2 AM when Spike TV would play re-runs of DS9. Love that show. Voyager had some good episodes, but yeah, the cast was a weak point. Except for Tuvok, who was awesome, and Seven of Nine, the sexiest fucking Borg to ever live. Paris wasn't bad either. I liked Kim as well. But Chakotay, Janeway, and a few of the other regulars (Neelix) were pretty bad. They had some damn fine episodes though.
Enterprise...I just could never get over that intro. That fucking like Bon Jovi sounding song...than was just such a damn insult to Trek fans.
But yes...Trek > Wars, and like I said, it's not even close when you take into consideration the hundreds and hundreds of great Trek episodes.
