[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

Meh, I disagree, thought it was an A show from start to finish. I didn't mind the tag match at all, it was just a fun little wild hardcore brawl, shit that was a better match than the main event of Raw was.

RAW was pretty shit. I was sitting in the lobby with them side-by-side on 50+ inch TVs. It was quite epic. The volume on RAW was turned way down, but I hardly peeked anyway.

Maybe when I rewatch it, the rating may jump, but I'm not sure. It was obvious Hogan was wearing a shirt to cover the fact he's out of shape, Wolfe can't win a match, so he's a hired hand, Hall and Waltman appeared (even with an epic pay-off, I was upset), and there's still no sign of Joe.

Sting turning was great, Madison's ass is HUGE, the promos and matches were all great, and Beer Money trying to turn heel was hilarious.

Haven't been on much lately. Life is crazy and all of that free-form spastic jazz. Spent the last few days in various states of mind discovering new music among other things.

So, it's DJ time. Listen. Or don't, I don't really care, I'm fucking bored. I'm just going to start playing some stuff I've been jamming to lately.

Yay for hipsterism.

Someone recommend me some motherfucking chillout, trip-hop and downtempo music.

Not much brotherman, just listening to a whole shitload of different music I've been meaning to listen to for awhile now. Took a small dose of dextromethorphan a few hours ago and am enjoying a bowl, listening to this song:

And now I'm about to listen to Lush. You?

I see Nita is reading this thread...recommend me some music Nita, you have good taste.

How is the wisdom-less mouth, X?

Quite dandy. Apparently I just have a mouth of iron-will-powered-steel and an immune system that not even Wu-Tang could fuck with. Spent the last few days eating Vicodin and listening to music. My mouth hasn't hurt at all, and I started smoking (pot) about 6 hours after the surgery, though I did wait the full 48 hours before smoking a cigarette. No "dry sockets" from smoking though, so I just assume I have a manly man mouth that can handle anything.

Honestly they really don't even hurt at all right now. I am stoned though, so this may be why.

Anyways...MOAR MUSIC! Recommend me some music people. Good music, if it's bad, I'll find you, and I"ll hurt you.

Love that song.

I am sorry if this is all a bit sterotypical and well known but its what I like :) There are a couple of really good songs but they are escaping me at the moment I am afriad. If you want to go orchestral I can advise some cool stuff :)

Nita should have her own section at the music thread. I loved her music picks <3.

Well, right now I'm about to give a listen at some Queen.

Oh by the by....

I was going to suggest that the combination of House-amounts of Vicodin and RVD levels of pot could be messing with your pain receptors...

Love that song.

I won't post any music myself as I do not think that we have comparable taste (e.g.Morrissey) but I will say...

Golden Brown is a fucking incredible song

Plant whatever ya want on me Nita, I trust your taste.

Great song, Portishead are great.

Another great song, but of course I already have the entire discography of Massive Attack, silly you!

Very nice, Deltron 3030 sounds so god damn familiar too. I'll need to investigate this further.

I fuckin' LOVE Gary Numan, haven't heard that song before though, digging it. Numan rocks my socks. Let's have some Numan.

I DEMAND MORE OBSCURE ARTISTS!

This is conceivable.

I quite literally listen to every genre of music Barbosa so odds are if it's good I'll like it. Give me a shot, throw up some stuff you're jamming to lately.

But yes, Golden Brown is in fact fucking incredible. Sounds like the kind of magical tune you'd hear coming out of the forest in medieval times.

...And fuck you damnit, I will always love Morrissey. How can you doubt the greatness of the Smiths and his late 80s solo work?

and some motherfuckin' BETA BAND!

Reminisce about John Cusack and Lisa Bonnet. NOW!

<333333333333333

THATS MORE LIKE IT MOTHERFUCKER.

Fucking adore the Beta Band. Dry the Rain, when it hits this one certain note towards the end of the bridge around the 4-5 minute mark, oh my god it's like an audio orgasm it's fucking beautiful.

Go listen to the song "I Know" by the Beta Band RIGHT NOW STEVEN. Can't find a vid for it on YT unfortunately.

Going through a mega shuffle of all the music on my computer at the moment so there is a vast array of different genres. Lets see what the next three songs are...

Oh FFS... how not obscure can you get...? Won't even bother posting any vids

Satellite News - Feeder
You're Gonna Go Far, Kid - Offspring
Hero of the Day - Metallica

Del the funky homosapien is Deltron 3030- I think he did a number of songs on the first Gorrilaz album as well his own stuff- I really like that album- that song especially is good to relax to. I kinda thought you might have those two but its the only things I could really think of for Trip hop.

New stuff anyway.

Beginning with some Olafur Arnalds- a young Icelandic composor. My choice as the artist you probably don't know but should. So looking forward to his new album- give this song a chance- its true beauty.

And just to show where his new direction is taking him

This song blew me away so hard the first time I heard it.

This is another Icelandic composor I really like- a bit more of a slower paced song- but equally worth listening too

(Thanks for the comment as well Mr Steve- we must have a Radiohead conversation someday :) )

Fast forward to 3:45 into The Beta Band's "Dry the Rain.

Orgasm. Everywhere. There's that beautiful bridge part I was talking about.

Mmkay, gimme some time to listen to all of them vids ya just posted Nita!

THIS! I need to get Ok Computer, and I need to get this out there: Bodysnatchers is the best song coming out of In Rainbows, next to Jigsaw, and House of Cards.

I did not realize that the genre of "folktronica" existed. I am now in love with it and must bathe in it's glory.
