[OFFICIAL] WWE Pay-Per-View Aftermath & Review

Awesome PPV tonight,I watched it on a Stream (Saving for Summerslam) but a good one was MITB. I loved both MITB Matches,Kane winning was great which I had no problem with he deserved it. Miz winning the other was a surprise, I thought Randy Orton would win it. Great Match between Rey Mysterio & Jack Swagger, loved the end with a reminder of Guerrero/Angle from Wrestlemania with Rey's boot coming off. Kane coming out to Cash in his Breifcase was cool, had no problem with it as I had a feeling one of the 2 Winners might going in. Long overdue Title run for Kane,he has earned it I think.

Cage Match was solid with Sheamus & John Cena, had a feeling Nexus would interfere somehow. Tag Title Match was alright, glad The Harts Reign continues. Both the Divas & Womens Title Matches were decent. Alicia & Eve was the best of the two. So overall a 9/10 for Money In The Bank on its first outing and looking forward to this year's Summerslam.

This definately was a great PPV, we got an OK MITB match, a good Divas match, KANE WON THE FUCKING TITLE, an OK tag match, a bad divas match, Miz solidifies his future main-event status by winning a good MITB Match, and it ended with Nexus and an OK Title match. I think this is the best PPV since WM and it was more about entertainment than most.

I'd give it an A-

I missed like the first 3 minutes, but I never missed too much...

Smackdown Money In the Bank Ladder Match
This was definately the best of the ladder matches here tonight and it was a great opener...the spots were just amazing. The first couple of minutes I was thinking it was boring but when Kofi jamp of the ladder on Drew, I thought, Thats it! Drew aint getting up...then we see the big ladder be in use, big show getting piled on with ladders which really got me laughing, a few chokeslams on the ladders, unlucky Cody Rhodes had his head smashed in, and then after like what 20 minutes in the match we see Drew, I thought he was going to win it...After Kane won..I knew he wasn't going to keep the briefcase long...I was happy as well...

I give this match a A, very exciting match!!
------------------------
WWE Divas Championship match
I think this match was quite dissapointing, I don't know why Fox has the title, I didn't see anything interesting apart from her shaking her ass when she was walking to the ring, Eve on the other hand I think she was pretty good.. The scissor kick was kind of a flop and the match wasn't really good either..

I give this match a F, not really well executed..
------------------------
Unified Tag Team Championship match
A decent match, I actually couldn't keep my eyes of Natalya, but hey thats me. I think it was a good match, not all the very best but still decent. I actually thought The Uso's would take the match, but I wasn't suprised that HD won the match. Especially with the Sharpshooter..

I give this match a D, decent match..
------------------------
World Heavyweight Championship match
When I saw Rey come out limping, I thought this was Swaggers match, it was a decent match, nothing too special, and then Rey tricking us all by loosening his shoe allowing him to also trick Swagger and go the pinfall.

I give this match a C, not bad match..
------------------------
Kane wins the title
When I saw Kane fight off Swagger to the back, I just knew he was going to come back...so I wasn't suprised about it...I was thinking, just what if Rey retains against him...but that wasn't the case as Kane tombstone piledrivered Rey(which we could see never connected with rey's head)...

No rating for this match..Just suprising!
------------------------
WWE Women's Championship match
This match wasn't good..I never was in to this match, I was all for Kelly Kelly, but I knew her time wouldn't be tonight, the ending wasn't really good either...I expected this match to be bettter than the other divas match but unfortunately it wasn't..

I give this match a -F, very poor..
------------------------
Raw Money In the Bank Ladder Match
This match woke me up...(I live in England and it was like 3am, and tbh I was falling asleep), this match was pretty good, although I don't think it was better than the Smackdown match, it was still good...No one looked more deserving in the match other than Edge, JoMo and Orton, they were the most active in the match, the spots wern't as good as the other match either, I think DiBiases fall was quite painful...but other than that...nothing more...To see the Miz win and really do nothing in the match, it dissapointed me, other than that, good match..

I give this match a C, had the main event stars to make the match good..
------------------------
WWE Championship match
Okay, So I have had time and I have just watched the replay, from what I had heard about the match, its true, it was a slow paced fight, You had Cena hit Sheamus and then fall on the floor immediately and the same with Sheamus, it got more interesting when Nexus appeared and from then on it was quite good. The match itself wasn't really all that to me, i didn't see that much of a good fight. But from what I saw it wasn't bad either and a good ending to a good ppv.

I give this match a C, I think it was better than the World title match only because you had Nexus interfere...
------------------------
So overall PPV gets a A...I thought it was a really good PPV...and the concept worked very well..

Miz wins the MiTB (awesome btw) and Kane is the new World Heavyweight Champion... I like the way it's shaping out. Good thing he is on Smackdown now, Kane can actually be a champion for longer than 24 hours this time!

I missed the first hour or so but I have to say I liked most of what I saw. Really happy with Kane winning the Smackdown MITB and then the title, he deserves it, and ok with Miz winning the RAW one so long as they take care of the US title situation quickly.

Sheamus vs. Cena was kinda like a really good RAW match, slow paced but well done, but I'm pretty upset that there was a second PPV in a row without a legit finish. Sheamus looks weak, Cena beats up Tarver, it all just lacked a punch that would have made it memorable.

About a C+/B- from what I saw. The ending really brought it down for me even though I was happy with Kane winning and the RAW MITB was great.

Smackdown MITB - This was good opener. It wasn't my favorite MITB match, but it served its purpose, and I love that Kane won. I kept flip flopping between who I thought was gonna win, and the suspense was great. Did anyone else feel like this was one of the longest MITB matches?

Alicia Fox/Eve - Ugh, Alicia retains, really? Hell, I'd be fine with Eve winning the title back here, I just don't see the point of building Alicia up, she's boring as shit. Eve has showed drastic improvement in the ring so I would rather have her as champ. But the Divas division should be built around people like Natalya, Gail Kim, Melina, etc. not fucking Laycool and Alicia Fox. Oh, the match? It was your typical Diva affair, I'd be surprised if it was any longer than 5 minutes.

Hart Dynasty/Usos - I was really interested in this feud after the debut of the Usos where they jumped the Harts. But now? God they have killed any heat behind this feud. We've seen them fight multiple times on Raw, we saw them at Fatal 4 Way, and now again at MITB? And then they get the same amount of time as Eve/Alicia? What? This was ok, but it hardly lasted long enough to establish any rhythm or psychology.

Mysterio/Swagger - This was better than I expected. It was a fun little 10 minute match. Would have liked to see it given more time, but the aftermath showed why it didn't need more time. Mysterio was dressed like fucking Catwoman here, and Swagger reminded me of Angle with his wheelbarrow suplex and of course the Ankle lock. He's pretty good in the ring, but he's still not convincing enough on the mic for me. But this was all about Kane cashing in. Fucking awesome moment, don't care if he gets buried by Taker, this was just great for everyone who has backed Kane for all these years. Good job, WWE.

Layla/Kelly Kelly - Well.....at least they looked hot. This was an overbooked 4 minute match if that's even possible....Smackdown is basically just waiting for Beth to get back. At least she can wrestle....

Raw MITB - This was the better of the two MITB matches I felt. The star power really helped, and all of these guys worked great together. Hell, even Mark Henry looked damn good. Better action and better spots in this MITB match. We didn't see that insane spot that we usually get in these matches, but I was still really entertained by this match. Also, Miz winning was fucking awesome. His post match promo was just pure gold too.

Sheamus/Cena - I wasn't expecting a whole lot from a steel cage match in the PG era, but even still I was let down. There was just a lot of time wasted it seemed like, and a lot of dead spots. Not a ton of action in this one, and not really good wrestling either. The best part was obvious, but The Nexus coming out was still cool. I thought they came out to screw Cena out of winning, which they did, but even still, they attacked Sheamus? What exactly did they want to happen? I guess they just like fucking shit up. This match just was a let down though, after two MITB matches and a surprise cash in, it just didn't live up to what we had seen throughout the night.

Overall I liked this show though. It was more about pure entertainment rather than great technical wrestling, and it definitely entertained me. I would give this show a B+, and it's definitely one of the better PPV's of the year.

before Kane won MITB and then cashed it in? give the show a C at best. WITH those 2 things happening, going with a B+. not only was it the Shock value we in the IWC been waiting for (for waaay too long i might add..) but just look at the overall posative reaction to it?! when RVD did against Cena, which is btw, then only actual scheduled MITB cash in match to date, the fans were split, mostly men vs women and children (HAHA!) and when punk won and cashed in on Hardy, wow, never seen a faster face-Heel turn in the past few years. but with Kane cashing in on Smackdowns "mini superhero" we LOVE it! good job WWE, did really well there.

was actually quite surprised at the Pro-Sheamus reaction. i mean, yes i know the Anti-CeNation was there (as it is in all arenas) but never thought i'd hear Sheamus chants the way i did. think it was probably louder in person (WWE has a history of toning down the crowd, or pumping cheers threw the speakers) but you could still hear it quite well watching.

Money in the Bank PPV Review

Well, I haven't done one of these in a while. Let's shake off the rust and take a look at what was pretty entertaining show.

Smackdown MITB: This was a great opener and Match of the Night in my opinion. Everyone looked good in what I think might be the longest MITB ever. By the time this was over, I was spent. Hard to recap a match like this, so I'll list some random thoughts:

-anyone else think Jay Lethal when they saw Kofi in the red/yellow?
-Big Show was actually entertaining in this
-That Boom Drop off the ladder was pretty sweet
-That huge, mega ladder was pretty awesome and I'd actually like to see it used again
-Cody really impressed me in this match. He was great
-I thought Matt and Christian told a great story in this match, with their constant fighting/teaming up. Could a feud between these two be on the horizon?
-Fuck the haters, Drew McIntyre is awesome
-Burying Big Show under ladders was a brilliant and entertaining move.
-KANE WON!!!!!

Eve vs Alicia Fox: Poor girls. They had the daunting task of following up a very long and very exciting MITB ladder match. They may as well have wrestled in a cemetary, because the crowd was DEAD for this match. Nothing special here, Alicia hits her awkward axe kick for the win. Melina really needs to get back.

The Usos vs The Hart Dynasty: Another average match that was the victim of the first MITB. The crowd was a bit more alive for this, but the match was pretty standard stuff. I actually thought the Usos would get the win here, as I don't see how this feud can continue with the Harts winning again without it getting staler than it's become. Solid match, but nothing special.

Jack Swagger vs Rey Mysterio: What the hell was Rey wearing last night, snake skin or something? Anyway, this was a pretty good match as these two work quite well together. Rey sold his injuries well (for the most part) and Swagger gets better and better with each match. To solidify Swagger as the new Angle, he loses to Rey thanks to a loose boot. Pissed about being tricked by a midget channeling a dead guy, Swagger attacks Rey only to be stopped by Kane. Thought it'd be a cash-in, but oh well....OH WAIT!

Kane vs Rey Mysterio: A bit strange that Kane would come out to no music, chase Swagger away, and then come back with music, pyro and a ref seconds later but who cares! Rey tries to haul his little ass back to San Diego, but Kane had none of that. Chokeslam and Tombstone get Kane his first world title in over a decade in what may have been my biggest mark out of the year. Fucking YES

Kelly Kelly vs. Layla: This was even less entertaining than the divas title match, if that's possible. Layla wins as we continue to stall until Beth's return.

Raw MITB: This wasn't quite as good as the Smackdown one, but still pretty damn entertaining with a DAMN good ending. My thoughts:

-I'm convinced that Orton could butter a piece of toast and get a pop
-Maryse trying to get the briefcase for Ted was a nice touch
-Morrison needs to be in more ladder matches as he's great in them, and this was no exception.
-Jericho seemed like such an after-thought in the match. Even more so than Henry
-Trapping Morrison inside the ladder and beating him with another was a cool and painful looking spot.
-MIZ WON!!! His promo afterwards was gold, especially since I used to be one of those haters. It was a great moment, as it showed just how far he's really come.

John Cena vs. Sheamus: I never get excited for cage matches, but this wasn't too bad. It was a little slow at times, but it picked up towards the end. I'm sure we were all just waiting for the inevitable Nexus run-in and they didn't disappoint. They try to stop both men from escaping, but Sheamus slips through and retains, thankfully. He needs a good long run with that belt IMO. A majority of the Nexus try to catch Sheamus and his Lucky Charms, leaving Young and Tarver to get the fuck beat out of them by Cena. The show closes with a pissed off Cena taking a Nexus armband and leaving.

Overall, this was a very good show in terms of surprises and moments. The MITB matches were great, we had two deserving winners, one cash-in, and a new world champion. The other matches might have lagged, but everything else more than makes up for it.

Ok, let's see......

Smackdown MiTB Ladder match

This had to be the longest MiTB match ever, but personally, this was actually my favourite of the two. The MiTB matches seemed to be the total opposite of one another in both styke of match and outcome. The SD match featured mostly mid-carders and ended with an established ME'er winning it, whereas the Raw one was filled with former WHC's and ended with a mid-carder winning!

Anyway, i'm going to give bullet points like Sean Valjean did, because it makes the most sense imo:

- I loved the teamwork between Matt and Christian. Here's two guys who made their names in tag team WWE ladder matches, and have the most ladder experience out of anyone else in the match. On top of that, there's two superheavyweights that are simply NOT going to stay down, if everyone looks out for just themselves, so the whole Christian and Matt constantly working together angle, was probably the best aspect of this entire match.
- Kofi Kingston is the new Jeff Hardy.
- This match did seem somewhat botchy. The spot where Christian went over the top rope onto Big Show had to be redone for a start, but it didn't impeed the match that badly, but it was noticeable.
- Apart from the missile dropkick, and getting lawn darted into an armoured car, what did Cody Rhodes even do?
- Ziggler put on a good showing. When Show pushed him off the ladder and caught him by the throat in one swoop, i was stunned for a second, mainly because i was sure Ziggler was going to land on the ladder frame and fuck himself up.
- Piling the ladders on Show was a good idea. Kane piling the wrestlers on top of that was even better.
-Totally didn't see the ending coming. I thought for sure after watching Matt and Christian work so well together, and the hype that Striker and Cole were giving them both, that one of them (Christian) would have gotten the win, but much better than that, the Big Red Machine won himself an instant title run. Happy days.

Eve Torres v Alicia Fox

I actually thought this match was very good by Diva standards. Far better than the other one anyway. It was refreshing to see some decent ring psychology from Alicia, as she worked Eve's back the whole match through. Backbreaker submissions, pendulum backbreakers and holy fuck, even a tilt a whirl backbreaker which i haven't seen done in WWE in freakin' years!

The finale of Eve literally throwing herself full force into that senton really did make it look like she'd done herself a serious injury when Alicia countered, that it didn't even look like the Ass Kick (which is more or less what it was) was even needed. Eve was beaten, no question about it.

It's just a shame that no one else gave this match a chance, because i thought it was actually very good.

Usos v Hart Dynasty

It's official. I don't give a fuck about the Uso's.

They did nothing to make me care last night. They got in the ring, went through the motions, and jobbed. The end.

It seemed this match was more focused on how well David Hart Smith could do in the ring and everyone else was just filler until he got tagged mback in. Tyson seemed to have significnalty less time to show his skills this time round, and i'm just hoping that they're not already considering splitting these guys up and leaving Tyson high and dry just because he's the smaller of the two.

Anyway, the Uso's who were apaprently supposed to be the heels, certainly didn't act like it. For a team that's supposed to be obsessed with ditching the samoan steroetype, they aren't doing very well by using typical samoan moves in their arsenal. They may as well be called 'The Samoan Highlight Reel'. Anyway, they seemed to be completely void of any passion or aggression in the match, and seemed content just to let Tamina do all the cheating, which was all of about 5 seconds worth.

Couple of other points:

- I did seriously think that DHS was knocked out with that ass to the face, he sold it THAT well.
- The whole springboard victory roll by Tyson followed up with the Alley-Oop Samoan Drop double team was the highlight of the match in terms of sequences of moves.
- Not too sure i like DHS using the Sharpshooter. Ok they're the Hart Dynasty, but i think i'd prefer to see him paying more homage towards his father than his is to the Harts right now, but then again i suppose the entire appeal of this team is that they wear the Hart name on thier outfits, and it seems to work just fine for them, so i guess milking it that little bit more can't hurt. Would still prefer to see more love for the Bulldog though......

Rey v A Poor Man's Kurt Angle.... Sorry, sorry, i mean Jack Swagger

Seriously, if Rey can't do anymoves without running, they should refrain from ever asking him to pretend that his legs hurt, because he's shit at it.

This was by far, the best Jack Swagger match i've seen to date. Not hard when you're opponent can be tossed around like a pillow in a burlap sack, but still i've only ever been more impressed with Swagger when he wrestled Cena, and that was only because he'd never shown that level of skill beforehand.

Anyway, good match overall, ending wasn't. It's bad enough that Rey won his first title due to Eddie dying. Now he's winning matches with Eddie's tricks. What's next? Is he gonna hit guys with chairs and then play dead? He's popular enough to win on his own merits without having to use Eddie's trademark moves to do it.

But all of that was made completely irrelevant by Kane's MiTB CASH IN BABY!!!!!!!

I did seriously think to myself, 'Oh fuck man, Kane's going to cash in on the same night and lose due to some Undertaker Titan Tron message distracting him long enough for Rey to hit a 619 or simply run away, isn't he? That's the sort of bullshit booking Kane is usually given. He'll be the first to cash in and lose isn't he?' But to my surprise and ultimate joy he WON. KANE IS THE WHC!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOO!!!!!!

Of course he's going to drop it to Taker in about a month or 2, because that's who was supposed to be fueding with Swagger over the title come Summerslam anyway, but it's great to see Glen Jacobs as the top guy on SD, no matter how long it lasts. At least he's guaranteed more than 24 hours with it this time around right?

Layla v Kelly

Yeah, i went to grab some munchies during this and when i came back Layla had won. I'd watched Kelly get thrown around and spend more time beating up Michelle than beating up Lalya and thought 'fuck this, at least Alicia and Eve kept it in the ring'

Raw MiTB

-This was the spotfest match of the two, which is why i liked the other one better.
- How many RKO's did Orton do in that match?
- I'm glad Evan Bourne isn't being made to look weak in comparison with the ME guys. Orton's pissed on hima couple oft imes in the last weeks, so it was great to see him finally hit an Air Bourne on Orton for some payback.
-I loved the Maryse interference. I think it's stupid that they've lumped her with Ted Dibiase personally, but that small part in the match really entertained me.
- Ted played a much bigger role than his former partner did in the SD one.
- Mark Henry was a waste of space. At least in his other MiTB appearances he made some kind of impact, but this time round was it worth having him there? And tbh, would R-Truth have really made any real impact either? I for one, highly doubt it.
- Miz didn't seem to do much, but i am very happy he won. He is the next Rock, no doubt about it.
- Jericho also didn't do a great deal, but then again, he's got additional commitments now so i guess that's why he played it a little safer.
- I also love it when guys try to team up with Edge. You just know he's going to blast them as soon as they've finished with the other guy.

Sheamus v Cena

LAME! This was more or less exactly the same as last month. Nexus come out at the end, which we could all see coming a mile away, cost Cena the match again, and then the show ends with lots of standing around with nothing of interest happening. He clotheslined Tarver and then hit him with the steps. Big fuckin' whoop.

'I TOLD YOU I'D TAKE YOU ALL OUT!!!!!!!!' Yeah, but John you haven't done that, so shut up.

Decent match, nothing special all in all. Striker never had a cage match in his career so i don't know why he kept giving strategy advice over and over, especially as King kept correcting him as he did it. Again, i'm waiting for something significant to happen with these Nexus guys on PPV. It seems all the good stuff with them happens on Raw, and then a PPV comes along and all that happens is a run in during the title match and a beat down on Cena.

At least next PPV they'll actually do something which has a lasting impact. There are things i want to whinge about concerning that, but i'll save it for another thread.

Overall i thought miTB was a very good PPV, lots of surprises and good results, capped off with another lackluster ending. Personally i'd give MiTB a B+, and if i had paid for it, i'd have been more than satisfied that i had gotten my money's worth. Roll on the biggest party of the Summer!

- Apart from the missile dropkick, and getting lawn darted into an armoured car, what did Cody Rhodes even do?

I thought Cody Rhodes had a good outting in this match actually and contributed more than guys like Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. In fact, I think he was allowed to look quite strong here...he did a few cool looking flying chucks, one on Big Show and one on Kane, he took out Big Show's knee with a smaller ladder, did a back body drop on Kingston from the ladder, did a Cross Rhodes on Kingston on the ladder, did the missile dropkick on Kingston as you pointed out and overall had a competent performance I think. I know from reading some of your other posts that you aren't exactly a Rhodes' fan (which is your opinion and I respect that) but I think he did more in this match than you give him credit for...

did a Cross Rhodes on Kingston on the ladder

I did remember that after made my initial post but didn't get a chance to go back and add it later.

I think the reason i forgot was because they didn't even show it on the main screen because they were too busy showing something else in a replay, but i do remember that Cole said he fucked it up by smacking his head on the ladder as he delivered the move.

Personally, I wouldn't consider hitting Show in the leg with the step ladder as being anything worth acknowledging.

I do also remember the back drop on the ladder.

And i agree that he did have a better performance than McIntyre, who seemed to take the Boom Drop and the chokeslam off the top and nothing else that entire match, yet for some reason his part in the match seemed to stand out more than Rhodes did. Maybe it's because i assumed he'd win due to the whole 'Chosen One' and he isn't a mid card champion anymore, and i should know better than to get my hopes up that Vince McMahon will actually use Christian for once. I don't think Rhodes had a bettr performance than Ziggler though. I think they were pretty even, bt Ziggler stands out to me because his spots were actually shown, whereas Rhodes biggest spot was brushed aside for a replay of something else, most likely Kofi's Boom Drop.

I think both Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase have the skills to do well through mic work and psychology, but their in ring styles bore the shit out of me, and it's also obvious that Ted's getting the push. I don't watch Raw or SD anymore, but as soon as i heard the words, 'Dashing' Cody Rhodes i was laughing. Andthe whole mirror in the titan tron thing? Man i'd hate to be Cody Rhodes right now knowing that his ex tag partner is just using his dad's old gimmick, while Cody has been lumped with something shit.

I probably do give him more shit than he deserves, but i also stand by my opinion that he had the 2nd least significant impact on the match with only McIntyre doing less than him.

I think the reason i forgot was because they didn't even show it on the main screen because they were too busy showing something else in a replay, but i do remember that Cole said he fucked it up by smacking his head on the ladder as he delivered the move.

Yes, this pissed me off. Something like Kofi being given the Cross Rhodes on a ladder is a spot that should have actually been shown, rather than a replay. But still it was a decent spot that involved Rhodes...

Personally, I wouldn't consider hitting Show in the leg with the step ladder as being anything worth acknowledging.

I agree, it's hardly anything to get too excited about but still, it's an example of Rhodes doing something in this match other than getting thrown head first into a truck...

I do also remember the back drop on the ladder.

So yet another thing Cody Rhodes did in this match then...

And the whole mirror in the titan tron thing? Man i'd hate to be Cody Rhodes right now knowing that his ex tag partner is just using his dad's old gimmick, while Cody has been lumped with something shit.

It depends what way you look at it. Given that I still watch both Raw and Smackdown, I think it may be possible that Rhodes will be getting a push, probably in the form of a feud with Kofi over the IC Title. Meanwhile, Ted has been floating about in rather meaningless feuds with R-Truth but hopefully this JoMo thing leads to something...

Also, the fact that Ted's just using his dad's gimmick is an example of lazy ass booking if you ask me....at least Rhodes is doing something somewhat unique and isn't just becoming 'Common Man Number Two'. Again, and I can only speak for myself, but I've found everything Rhodes has done under his new 'Dashing' gimmick (including promos and the like) to be entertaning and the matches he's had on Smackdown with JoMo, Christian and most recently Kofi have been really quite good....certainly more entertaining than anything Ted has done with his recycled gimmick in my opinion.

The Dashing thing kind of reminds me of 'Ravishing Rick Rude' who I was a fan of, so maybe that's why I don't view the whole dashing thing as Rhodes being lumped with something shit...

I probably do give him more shit than he deserves, but i also stand by my opinion that he had the 2nd least significant impact on the match with only McIntyre doing less than him.

Fair enough, I respect your view and I'll agree to disagree.

WWE SummerSlam - August 15, 2010

Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston - A solid match to start off the show. Ziggler and Kofi, as expected, looked strong and worked well together. The overall highlight of the match was The Nexus interfering in the match a little past the 7 minute mark. This marked the first time The Nexus have gone after any of the Smackdown crew. After The Nexus beat down Kofi & Ziggler, Barrett getting on the mic and continuing the theme from Raw this past Monday of taking out potential replacements for Team WWE was a nice touch as it only further served to hype the 7 on 7 match. As has been the case, Barrett was poised and confident on the mic and gave a quality promo. I personally liked the no contest finish here as neither Kofi or Ziggler needs a loss at this point and this feud they’ve got going can go on for a while. Thumbs Up

Melina vs. Alicia Fox - I wasn’t that wild about this match really. They had a pretty good match against each other this past Monday on Raw but it just wasn’t clicking tonight. There were some awkwardness and even a little incompetence during the match. For instance, Melina came up with an “injured” knee, so Alicia went to work on the arm. I’m disappointed as I expected a little bit better. Melina gets the win and wins the Divas Championship at the 5 and a half minute mark. The post match stuff with LayCool was kind of annoying , though it makes me wonder if we’re seeing the beginning of the unification of the Diva and Women’s titles. Anyhow, just a disappointing match overall. Thumbs Down

The Big Show vs. The SES - This match didn’t really do it for me. It pretty much played out as I figured it would with Show ultimately getting the win at the 7 minute mark. Punk gave a great promo on Smackdown and actually had me looking forward to this. But, whenever you put The Big Show in a 3 on 1 match, he always wins and this was no different. Personally, I would’ve just saved this match for Smackdown and given Kofi & Ziggler another 5 minutes or so. Thumbs Down

The Miz - Prior to the Sheamus vs. Orton match, The Miz came out to the ring and cut a promo. As usual, great stuff from The Miz on the mic. In classic heel mentality, he insulted everyone in the audience and pretty much every other wrestler on Team WWE whether they’re heel or face. Michael Cole playing as The Miz’s leading fan boy only added to it. It was annoying but in a good old fashioned heel announcer kind of way, so it worked out great. The Miz claiming he’ll be on Team WWE was something I expected him to say, but the overall promo was really well done. Thumbs Up

Sheamus vs. Randy Orton - Overall, a great match from these two. I’m not crazy about the DQ ending of the match, but that means that the potential for other matches does lie down the road. I’ve got no problem with that as I really enjoyed this one. The match looked as though it could have gone either way and it. The ref called for a DQ around the 19 minute mark and Orton winds up hitting the RKO on Sheamus top of the table. I like the idea of Sheamus’ feud with Orton continuing for a while and I think Sheamus needs it. Orton is a high caliber main event opponent and a longer feud will do Sheamus some good. Seeing as how Sheamus was the one that got DQ’ed, I doubt that Orton will be forced to go to the back of the line. Thumbs Up

Kane vs. Rey Mysterio - Fun match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Kane & Mysterio have had a number of good matches against each other and this one was up to par. It was a little slow going in the early minutes but things picked up. Kane got the clean win over Mysterio at about the 13.5 minute mark. The post match situation was the real pay off. Kane kept trying to put Mysterio in the casket with Rey fighting it. Taker finally made his appearance to a huge pop once Kane had Mysterio incapacitated. We’ve known it was coming for a while, but I loved it anyway. Initially, it looked as though Taker was going to take out Mysterio before turning his attention to Kane. I was surprised to see that Kane came out on top against Taker tonight, but it was a pleasant surprise. I figured that Taker would beat up on Kane and have the triumphant return with Kane running for his life or being beaten down. Kane looked like a strong and dominant champion tonight and I like that they went against the whole triumphant return scenario. Thumbs Up

The Nexus vs. Team WWE - Overall, the main event of the show was extremely strong. Daniel Bryan came out to a really good crowd reaction and having him replace The Miz as the 7th man for Team WWE worked nicely. I can already see the two feuding for the United States Championship. I enjoyed every bit of the match except for the ending. I honestly don’t know why the WWE wanted SuperCena to make an appearance yet again. Cena winds up eliminating Justin Gabriel and finally Wade Barrett around the 36 minute mark to get the win for Team WWE. I think a lot of people really wanted to see Cena lose here, I know that I did. I know that the IWC is going to absolutely hate the ending of this match and already declare The Nexus dead and so on and so forth. Anyhow, the overall match in and of itself was highly entertaining. Thumbs Up

Overall Show - Thumbs Up - Overall, I thought that SummerSlam was a pretty decent show and I give it a mild thumbs up. Too many of the matches felt like filler for the most part. The IC title match was solid, but it didn’t really go for long enough. The Divas match was pretty piss poor as was the handicap match between The Big Show & The SES. I thought the other three matches were really good overall, but the first three matches just felt kind of half assed and that’s just not a smart thing to do if you expect people to keep shelling out $50 for your ppvs. But, overall, the good did outweigh the bad in my opinion. I do think that the WWE could have and should have done a much better job with the first 3 matches because they did drag down the overall show. I give WWE SummerSlam 2009 a C.

This pay per view could be summed up in four words.

MARK THE FUCK OUT!!!!!!!!!

So many amazing things happened on this PPV. The wrestling was great. The drama was great. The returns were great. The main event was PHENOMENAL. I can't sing my praises about this show enough. With a few changes, this would have been a perfect pay per view in my opinion.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston for the Intercontinental Championship

Solid match while it lasted. A nice, simple feud over the belt heading in, with Kofi being robbed by Ziggler and Vicky. Both combatants looked strong at points in this match, and the match was still exciting when it was interrupted by the Nexus, whom claimed they wanted to show what was in store for whatever poor soul joined team WWE tonight to fill the 7th slot. The match ended in a no contest. Despite the anti-climactic ending, the match itself was good, warranting a 7/10.

Alicia Fox vs. Melina for the Diva's Championship

Not the best divas match, but it was alright. Melina sold a knee injury about halfway through the match, but managed to beat Alicia with some sort of facebuster. The real excitement came after the match when Team LayCool came down to celebrate with Melina. Melina didn't seem to be in the mood to share the spotlight in her hometown of L.A., and attacked the two flawless divas. She had the upper hand too, until Michelle and Layla managed to work together to gain control. They beat on Melina until we go back stage with Edge, Jericho, and The Miz.

Match was nothing special, and the beat down, while drama evoking, was not too great either. I'd give it a 5/10.

Jericho and Edge were talking to The Miz, telling him why they needed him on the team (this later would wind up making no sense, but it was a fun segment while it lasted). Edge was snacking on a Slim Jim while Jericho flashed a little Y2J personality, trying to convince The Miz. The Miz said he'd think about it and walked off, but not before he snatched Edge's Slim Jim out of his hands.

Big Show vs. SES in 3 on 1 Handicap Match

This was a 3 on 1 handicap match fought under tornado style rules, meaning all 3 members of the SES were legal. This match was surprisingly good despite the fact it could have been terribly done no matter the outcome. Big Show maintained dominance from the beginning until about 4 minutes into the match, when the SES finally took him down. They would take turns stomping him and elbow dropping him, doing some very basic but effective attacks. The turning point occurred when Big Show threw Gallows into Mercury in the corner. He would then attack CM Punk, who cowered out of the ring and made his way up the entrance ramp with Serena. With Punk out of the picture, Big Show managed to choke slam Mercury onto Gallows, pinning the two simultaneously and winning the match.

While a 3 on 1 with a victory for the one almost always looks unrealistic, this match maintained a certain level of realism. If the SES can move past this loss and still stay as a strong, cohesive unit, they will become even more cult like, following a leader who clearly doesn't care about them. As I said earlier, good match, 7/10.

I believe it was now that Sheamus and Kane cut a promo backstage. Kane was talking to his casket when Sheamus asked if he could use it for Randy Orton. Kane gave a resounding no. Sheamus told Kane he better not come after Sheamus if Kane decided to go on a psychotic rampage should he lose his match, to which Kane laughed, and then said, "I like you, you have guts. Most of which will be spilled on the floor if you ever talk to me like that again!" Kane was a total bad ass, and Sheamus left, because he had a match next.

Randy Orton vs. Sheamus for the WWE Championship

There are a lot of things I don't like about Randy Orton, but he wrestled one hell of a match with Sheamus tonight. Good back and forth action between the two, both displaying their strength and skills. There were some great spots, lots of action in and out of the ring, and terrific ring psychology. If you're going to watch one match from this SummerSlam simply for the sake of enjoying good wrestling, watch this one. The only thing that ruined it was the ending. The DQ, which I didn't really predict, was cliche, and then Randy Orton getting the better of Sheamus after the bell was too predictable. On top of all that, the big spot, an RKO on the announce table, didn't work as the table didn't give.

Despite the less than stellar ending, this was a great match, and that means a lot coming from me, as I'm not big fans of either competitor. I'd give this match a 9.5/10.

The Miz comes out to discuss whether or not he will join team WWE. He jerks the audience around or not, making them wait on the edge of their seats until he finally said he will join Cena and company. He got in a lot of heel heat, saying Lebron and the Heat will beat the Lakers in the NBA finals, and refusing to let the audience say his catch phrase with him. The Miz worked the crowd to perfection, coming in to mostly cheers, and... well they were still cheering when he left, but they were pissed off about the Laker comment.

Kane vs. Rey Mysterio

The match started off like a typical Rey Mysterio match, which turned me off a little bit, but things soon picked up. Rey, as usual, got the better of his larger opponent by using his speed and creativity to his advantage, but Kane would soon end that, hitting Rey with a bunch of powerful moves. Eventually, Rey would once again outmaneuver The Big Red Machine by hitting him with a couple of DDTs and high risk moves, but Kane would regain the lead by hitting Mysterio with a plethora of backbreakers. The climax of the match came with Kane trying to choke slam Mysterio into the casket he brought to ringside (keep in mind this was not a casket match, just Kane being his crazy self), but Mysterio countered by setting Kane up for the 619. Kane escaped and set Mysterio up for the chokeslam, but Mysterio once again countered to the 619, and he hit it! However, Kane countered as he went for the splash, and despite a weak pin attempt by Mysterio, Kane managed to get up, chokeslam Rey, and win the match cleanly.

After the bell, Kane attempted to get Rey in the casket again. Kane opened the casket and attempted to chokeslam Rey, but Rey fended him off with a couple of up kicks. Kane closed the casket, walked over to Rey, and chokeslammed him twice. To make sure Rey wouldn't be able to get up for a while, he hit him with a Tombstone Piledriver, and walked back over to the casket, opened up and... FIRST BIG SURPRISE OF THE NIGHT! THE UNDERTAKER RETURNS! Taker was lying in the casket, waiting to be let out. He sat up, climbed out, and had a stare down with Kane. He turned his head to Mysterio, who had scrambled into the corner. After an awkwardly close and somewhat drawn out exchange with Rey, he decided his real attacker was Kane. This isn't exactly a new feud we're staring down the barrel at, but interestingly enough, Kane got the better of his half-brother after a chokeslam standoff, when Kane out muscled The Undertaker and hit him with a Tombstone.

Tonight was a great night for Kane marks, and I know there are some who might be reading this now, so mazel tov to you. I enjoyed both the match (8/10) and the extra-curricular activities (9/10) out of this feud. However, I hope Kane and Undertaker wrap their business up fairly quickly, preferably by SurvivorSeries, as this feud has been done more times than Madonna.

Finally, we get to the main event of the night...

Team WWE vs. Nexus

Nexus comes out first as a team. They all wait in the ring as the members of Team WWE come out one by one.

Cena comes out first. He is sporting a new shirt and hat, moving from orange to it's opposite, blue. Edge is out next, and he and Cena don't seem to acknowledge each other, focusing more on their opponents. Next out is R-Truth, followed by JoMo, who is followed by Jericho. Bret Hart comes out to a huge ovation, and before he can make it down the entrance ramp, The Miz's music hits, but Cena cuts him off. The 6 members of team WWE turn around and Cena explains to The Miz that they couldn't wait for him to make his decision, and they found someone else. The seventh member of Team WWE is Daniel Bryan.

Wait... what?

THAT'S RIGHT! DANIEL BRYAN IS BACK BABY.

Cole has an aneurysm, Miz is pissed, and DB runs right past The Miz and his teammates to go after the group he was once part of. Team WWE is right behind him, and there is an all out brawl in the ring that team WWE gets the best of. Nexus moves outside to formulate a plan.

I could recap the entire match, but for the sake of saving you time, I'll just do eliminations and highlights.

Daniel Bryan eliminates Darren Young with a variation of the crippler crossface mere seconds into the match.

JoMo eliminates Tarver with Starship Pain. This was almost as amazing as Daniel Bryan's return, as he actually NAILED the move, as opposed to just barely hitting the opponent with the back of his head.

John Morrison was eliminated by Skip Sheffield after a huge lariat. Looks like Skip is taking a page from fellow Texan JBL and using an over dramatic lariat as his finisher, though I suppose JBL used the clothesline instead.

R-Truth would be eliminated by Skip Sheffield a few moments after JoMo by the same move.

Bret Hart is disqualified. Bret Hart then got in the ring and used a chair that was thrown in by a member of Nexus. For some reason, he thought this was okay, since he wasn't the one who actually retrieved the weapon. He hit Skip Sheffield with it a couple times before the ref DQ'd him. Luckily the damage was already done.

Edge eliminated Skip Sheffield after Jericho hits a codebreaker and Edge hits a spear.

David Otunga is eliminated by Jericho after Jericho hits a beautiful, and I mean absolutely amazing, lionsault, and then gets the Walls of Jericho locked on, to which the A-Lister taps out.

Heath Slater pins Jericho after Jericho is hit by Slater's finisher, which is supposed to be a jumping Russian legsweep, but looked more like a ZigZag. Either way, Jericho was pinned.

Edge and Cena would then argue about who entered the match next while DB pleaded for them to stop arguing on the side. It is worth noting that Cena had not entered the match at all yet, besides the opening fray. Edge eventually pushed Cena, and instead of retaliating, Cena let Edge get in. It didn't last very long though, as Heath Slater jumped him and rolled him up, thus eliminating Edge.

Edge and Jericho were pissed and both blamed John Cena for their eliminations. The two jumped him and stomped him out outside the ring. Daniel Bryan went to check on Cena, but was chased off by the ref. The Nexus, now down to Slater, Gabriel, and Barrett, threw Cena into the ring where he was met by Slater.

Each member of Nexus would have their way with Cena until he eventually managed to counter Slater and tagged in Daniel Bryan.

After a few seconds of brawling, Daniel Bryan eliminated Heath Slater with a Cattle Mutilation.

Unfortunately, Daniel Bryan would soon exit. After turning his focus to his next opponent, Wade Barrett, The Miz ran down the entrance ramp and smacked DB with his briefcase, allowing Barrett to get the pin.

All that was left was a battered John Cena. Barrett and Gabriel would go to work on Cena utilizing quick tags and stomps. Gabriel would eventually try to put more of a hurt on Cena, but Cena managed to make a comeback. He hit the shoulder blocks, back breaker, and the 5 knuckle shuffle before hitting the Attitude Adjustment (I still always type FU first, force of habit), allowing John Cena to pin Justin Gabriel.

Finally, it was down to Cena and Barrett. Barrett had was the much fresher man, but it didn't help, as Cena managed to counter Barrett into the STF. Barrett lasted about 6 seconds before tapping, making John Cena the last man standing, and team WWE the victor. As Matt Striker said, WE WON! WE WON! WE WON!

This match was great, far surpassing my expectations and giving me, and whoever else was rooting for Team WWE, a huge pay off. I give this one a 9/10.

Overall, SummerSlam was one of the most enjoyable PPVs I have ever had the pleasure of watching. The only thing I could pick on were a few match endings and the announcing, but why let that ruin such a great pay per views. I think this is the best PPV of 2010 so far, and it might stay that way.

I give the whole show 9/10, and recommend anyone who didn't get the opportunity to watch to find a way to download it.

Man, the PPV was great for me. They usually are when you watch it with friends who jump up and down for every move but anyway on to the review.

Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler, Intercontinental Championship - This was good, quick match to open the show and I think these two work well together and it was nice to see Ziggler not lose but also make Kofi more credible by standing up to Nexus. I thought the Nexus beatdown made sense as it showed that they were ready for tonight.
3*/5

Melina vs Alicia Fox, Diva's Championship - It was worth a Diva's match to see Melina look that good and I was glad they took the title off of Fox. The LayCool beatdown should set up a nice fued which can generate some interest in the Divas for once. 1 1/2*/5

The Big Show vs SES - It was great to see my Straightedge Savoir back in the ring again finally. Although I wanted the SES to win, It was alright to see Punk not being squashed by the Big Show as it can continue the fued b/w them which I see is a lot like the one Show had with Kurt Angle in 2004 so it should be good. 2 1/2*/5

The Miz segment - This promo just proved why the Miz is one of the hottest things in wrestling right now. I thought it was great to see him interact with the crowd and he really can pull off some heat.

Randy Orton vs Sheams, WWE Championship - This was way better than their match at the Royal Rumble. It was nice to see each man not completely dominating the other. I didn't agree with the finish but it does help in furthering the fued b/w the two so it's not a bad thing. I look forward to see how both men will progress after this match.
3*/5
Rey Mysterio vs Kane, World Heavyweight Championship This match actually had me interested in for the most part. It was nice to see Rey not completely playing the underdog role and getting some offense in. I thought Kane was built nicely as a strong champion here with the clean win and I was glad for him to destroy the Undertaker after the match too. I'm actually pretty interested to see this fued again with the title in the mix now. 3 1/2*/5

Team Nexus vs Team WWE - By far the match of the night, I was glad to see Bryan return and look pretty strong in this match. It's going be good to see him continue the fued with the Miz. Except for maybe Young, all of Nexus looked pretty strong in this match and Skip Sheffield and Justin Gabriel really shined in this match. I was glad to see Cena pick up the win and the way he did was perfectly fine for me and no way did it go the myth "Super Cena" route. Another storyline that I will be more interested now to see with WWE finally picking up a win over the Nexus. 4 1/2*/5

Overall Show - Summerslam was pretty good this year. Every match bar the Diva's was built up quite nicely and after each one, some good fueds should continue after them. Nobody was made to look weak at all in any match and glad to see the Undertaker return. I give Summerslam a B+.

Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler - IC Title
At the time I was disappointed watching my favourite wrestler getting his ass whooped by the Nexus... then I was impressed because 1) They'd finally targetted a SD! Wrestler and it felt like Team WWE 2) They considered Kofi a big enough threat 3) Barrett is awesome on the mic 4) They found a way to end a match that I couldn't even think of without ruining the feud. Thumbs Up

Melina vs Alicia Fox - Diva's Championship
I like Melina, despite her war scream, she puts on a good match and made Alicia Fox seem somewhat ok in this match. While the match result seemed fair, the after match made me pay attention. LayCool are interesting for me and the post match beatdown was a nice hint towards title unification. Thumb Middle

Big Show vs SES - 3 on 1 handicap
It was a meh match and it panned out as expected with the Big Show winning the match. Not a classic and average filler. I'd give this Thumbs Down

The Miz
He looked awesome. He sounded awesome. He was awesome. He did what he needed to do and confirmed he was part of Team WWE while still remaining brilliant as a heel. Thumbs Up

Randy Orton vs Sheamus - WWE Championship
I'm a big mark for both of these guys and I like the rivalry here. Sheamus looked good in the promo beforehand and the ending felt like it suited his character. The match itself was a solid match and it had a bit of time given to it as well. The Brogue Kick looked amazing onto Orton - who always seems to sell kicks perfectly. The RKO on the table and it not breaking looked like WWE had actually thought about re-inforcing one for once. Thumbs Up

Kane vs Rey Mysterio - World Heavyweight Championship
Kane looked more than just strong. Kane looked like a monster. Kane showed exactly what it's all about - the Championship. In a good match with Rey, he won it and the post match shenanigans was almost what we all expected. Kane overpowering and then Tombstoning 'Taker... I thought it would be the other way round. Thumbs Up

Team WWE vs Team Nexus
Ok at the time of this match finishing I was annoyed because of the whole 'Super Cena' thing and Nexus not winning... then I remembered that every good faction has to lose, Cena actually got his ass whopped about 3 solid times and there's more to it for Nexus. Oh and did I mention Daniel Bryan returning? Yeah that was awesome and The Miz still got to screw over Team WWE slightly and they've managed to setup a US Title losing scenario for The Miz. That truly is awesome.

Also, Gabriel and Barrett looked great as they always do in Nexus but Skip Sheffield and Heath Slater eliminated the most guys on Team WWE and they looked great while doing it. Sheffield reminded me of Batista and Slater kind of reminds me as Brian Kendrick... while the latter isn't so great he'd make a decent IC/US Champion one day and he owes a lot to Jericho and Edge.
Thumbs Up

Overall - B+. Raw tomorrow will be very interesting because where do Nexus go now... well of course they go towards 'the bigger purpose'. The Nexus are brilliant as a unit but someone is pulling the strings - it's about time we found out who.

Wow, what a great PPV. I had lowish expectations going into this and they were completly blown away. The IC title match was good while it lasted, shame about the DQ but it is understandable. The Divas match was your typical bad divas match, Melina hurts her knee so Alicia goes after the arm, makes sense right. Show/SES was a bad match The SES really should have gone over here, I really hope they dont continue this fued as Punk deserves better but it looks like they will. Orton/Sheamus was an awesome match and totally exceeded my expectations the DQ is annoying but allows the fued to continue so it is understandable, the table RKO was awesome. Rey/Kane also exceeded my expectations and was a good match add to that the return of Taker which was obvious but still a mark out moment you have a good match. Didnt expect to see Kane get the better of Taker though. The main event was amazing thst is all I have to say from Danielsons return to the perfect ending it was an amazing match.

Overall: This was an awesome PPV the two title matches were very good and the ME was amazing, add to that two big returns and what more can you ask for. BTW Night of Champions is shaping up to be awesome with Cena/Barrett, Miz/Bryan, Taker/Kane and Sheamus/Orton all looking very likely. 9/10

Absolutely fantastic PPV.

Let's see, we got two big returns in Taker and Daniel Bryan, ones that while some may say were predictable (at least for Taker's) were still exciting and open up possibilities of new, fresh feuds. Match quality was very good, with the Divas match being the only mediocre match on the card. And even that had a tease of a title unification at the end, which is interesting. I especially enjoyed Sheamus/Orton and the main event.

Plus, my favorite wrestler ever, Daniel Bryan, returned in a shocker that made complete logical sense - I just didn't think they'd really be able to pull it off! I'm especially happy that he's going to be taking Miz's US Title away from him, leaving Miz free to cash in the MITB.

This PPV had everything you could ask for - Logic, great matches, surprises, and good promos.

SummerSlam 2010 is very hard to grade. I'm going to have to split it up into two factions:

1) Wrestling: D

I'm going to give it an overall grade of a D. Punk/Show sucked. CM Punk is a serious top flight guy getting bullshit feuds w/ guys going over left/right. Punk one year ago gave us one hell of a match/feud w/ Hardy. Now he's doing what? The Divas match was GOD AWFUL. The title matches ending in DQ killed great matches.

From a wrestling standpoint, this card really missed out on midcarders who could flat out wrestle setting up the main event drama. We needed a Mr. Perfect/Bret Hart to start the show and really wet out appetite before getting the entertainment/drama.

2) Entertainment/Drama/Surprises: A+

I have to admit, I marked the fuck out when Danielson showed up. The WWE fooled us all. That was terrifically done. He was so strong in the match, too. Let's face it - we all were fooled on that one. The quickness, wrestling ability, and submission moves were sick. Everyone watching with me was in awe of what that guy was doing.

Takers return was great as well. He sold the coma perfectly looking weak and psychotic. That is an art to wrestling that is becoming lost. When he slowly got into the ring, looked insane and weak, I realized how much I'm going to miss this guy when he finally walks away from the E. That is how you sell and act in this business.

Miz lit up the best promo I've seen since The Rock. That promo gave me chills, made me laugh, and really sold The Miz for what he does best.

On top of that we had unreal drama w/ the 7 on 7 match. Everyone looked strong and it was building for what seems forever now. I don't love that Cena won, but I do love how the whole match went. It was just perfect. We'll see how everything plays out from here.

Overall Score: C+

The WWE really missed out on what could have been the best PPV in freaking years if they just let go a little on the booking. It's okay that Cena doesn't get the final word. It's okay to build mid-card matches as well. If that was a 7-8 match card w/ solid wrestling to go with the drama, then we'd be looking at a top SummerSlam all-time. Instead we had a few weak fillers, some over extended video promos, and a time-wasting divas match.

So a simple question did Kane actually win as some have said or did it go to no contest as both Wrestlezone and WWE are reporting

To me very disappointing Summerslam is supposed to be a Pay Off PPV and instead we get 1 (possibly 2 No result title matches)
No real Use of Miz (so how is that branding him thing going) Yes I know he had a run in and an interview but really. If the run in had resulted in he result of the match sure but he was practically a non entity
And then the main event which has Super Cena win again over the odds and had Wade tap way too quick

Kane beat Rey in the middle of the ring with a tombstone I believe. I have no idea why they reported it as a no-contest. Maybe they realized that Kane pinned Rey in a supposedly casket match and just tried to cover their tracks if that's what they're reporting on the E's website as well.

But it wasn't a casket match, he just brought it down to the ring to play games with Rey. In a casket match they have officials who stand by the casket to open it for the wrestlers while they roll their opponent in.

I watched. Kane pinned Rey after a chokeslam.

It still doesn't make sense why they reported it as a no-contest though. I'm happy with the result regardless. It doesn't look like Rey will get the belt again for a while since we should have one final Kane/Taker feud...It would be awesome if Kane could actually pick up the win for once this time.

I don't now how people enjoyed this so much.

1. There was only 6 matches

2. 2 matches ended in a DQ on their second biggest PPV and they where both title matches. That is unacceptable when people pay for a PPV.

3. Big Show vs SES was just a throw away match. Did anyone really give a shit or get emotionally involved in this?

4. Ending was booked bad. You have Daniel Bryan return, he gets eliminated after a while, and leaves while having no impact on the out come of the finish. What was the point in having him return on a PPV then if he wasn't going to be a major player.

In the end I am glad I watched this at Hooters. My meal was worth more then this garbage.

2. 2 matches ended in a DQ on their second biggest PPV and they where both title matches. That is unacceptable when people pay for a PPV.

One match. Kane pinned Rey Mysterio. Furthermore, the Orton/Sheamus match was terrific, even if the ending wasn't perfect.

Side Note: WWE updated their site so it says Kane defeated Rey.

3. Big Show vs SES was just a throw away match. Did anyone really give a shit or get emotionally involved in this?

It was sort of a throwaway, but it was actually a decent match.

4. Ending was booked bad. You have Daniel Bryan return, he gets eliminated after a while, and leaves while having no impact on the out come of the finish. What was the point in having him return on a PPV then if he wasn't going to be a major player.

Seriously? He was the second to last WWE'er eliminated, and he eliminated two people himself. Furthermore, he was the one who started the action by rushing in. He was a huge player in this.

I respect your opinion regarding the pay per view, but I feel as though you may not have gotten a good watch. Rewatch the the three main event matches and I think you'll change your tune.
