Cause thats gay, the BFG ppv this month isnt even in Detroit...its in Plymouth. My friends at school told me about it, and it make no sense.

These people that live in plymouth already think they are tough to survive in Detroit, TNA shouldn't give them ideas by giving them an 8mile match. I mean I would understand if the ppv was taking place in Detroit...but its taking place in Plymouth Michigan...probly one of the most safe citys in the Michigan. I laugh at that whole idea.

I thought it was in Detroit. And even so, who cares if it isn't? It's just another name for a hardcore match. And judging by that smiley thing bowing to John Cena on your profile I can tell you don't know much about wrestling.

just because someone likes cena doesnt mean they dont know much about wrestling. i'm sure that ur part of the anti-cena club but for the most part though, they're just fallowers so they dont have much credibility. sorry for lashing out like this but little comments like that dont add anything to the discussion so try to keep on subject instead of playing the same old broken record.

don't be dissing plymouth. that's where my dad grew up. it's called an 8 mile match because rhyno's a part of it and he's from detroit.

Then your guess would be wrong. I like guys like CM Punk, low ki, soma joe, but I can like guys like Cena if I want, that doesnt mean I dont know wrestling. But Im not one of those guys who thinks they know everything that goes on backstage or thinks they know how to fix somthing that they think is wrong in the wrestling world.

Sorry but plymouth michigan sucks. The kids that go to Plymouth highschool say plymouth is so ghetto...yeah right those kids have no clue what the ghetto is.

my opinion would be said about john cena but don't really like to offend other ppl's opinions

PATHETIC :fuckoff:
JEALOUS :2up:
LOSER!!!!!:fu2:

I grew up in a city right near Plymouth and let me tell you, Plymouth kids say they are ghetto because all cities around Plymouth are full of rich kids. They are some of the richest cities in the state, about a mile away from the arena is a neighborhood filled with $500K+ homes, that is not the ghetto to me. The arena is about 3 miles away from the actual road called 8 mile, but 8 mile is a really long road and there is only a small portion of it that is what everyone assumes the whole thing is because of Eminem's stupid movie. Just thought I'd clear that up.

They actually bulit Compuware Arena so that people from the suburbs could enjoy concerts and hockey games without having to go to the city.

Rhyno probably isn't actually from 8 mile, but his character is so even if this match was at the regular Impact zone in Orlando, I wouldn't mind beacuse it's a part of Rhyno's character.

i just checked tna.com and it said detroit not plymouth

Its not Detroit, its plymouth. TNA has never gone to Detroit for any events. They are probly saying it cause Detroit is bigger then plymouth...but no dude its in plymouth, if you knew any of my friends you could ask them.

Why the fuck would they advertise it as plymouth. If you advertise Plymouth most people wouldn't have a clue what TNA was on about. From a marketing perspective its just smarter - i mean fuck its close enough to Detroit City anyway. If WWE did WrestleMania in Plymouth would they say Plymouth or advertise it as Detroit. This convo is just stupid. Making this huge deal out of absolutely nothing.

Tna's Flagship PPV Bound for Glory is coming up and whats bigger than that is that Its in Detroit Michigan and the Seats are up to 15,000 will it be Sold Out? how much attendence will be there? will there be a new TNA record?

I personally think that TNA will have 15,000 People in Attendence and soon maybe 20,000 and they will make :wwf: kiss their assss

Why couldnt they just call this match a street fight? Im just saying its stupid to have an 8mile match when the whole ppv is in one of the most safest citys in michigan. Its lame to call it that. Now if it was in Detroit it would be different.

Wrestling promotions do things like that all the time though. An ex: Chicago Street Fight, New York brawl, etc. It's just to get the fans more involved in the match more. I personally don't like the idea of naming matches like that, but I can still see why they do it.

I don't like the fact that you had to bring WWE into this. It has nothing to do with them. Anyways, I don't think it's even going to come close to selling out because game 2 of the world series in DETROIT will be that same night. Therefore, I don't see it being a sell out or even anywhere close.

I agree with you most of the people in attendence will be hardcore fans though, Unfortionly the world series is that night( Danm those Tigers, I say that with sarcasm), I bet TNA wishes they could've booked it for a later date like when there's a day without a game, but ih well shit happens they'll get over it,

Because calling it an 8 mile street fight makes it seem more personal, I'd rather they just make the match a Full Metal Mayham Match, It's the same thing pretty much but sounds better and everyone knows what it is then, not to mention it caters to both wrestlers, christian with his TLC background, and Rhino with his Extreme/Hardcore background.

8 mile match just sounds stupid.

That was such a great lead in impact episode the week before bound for glory. Lot's of high action. Of course the high point of the night was Joe and Angle fighting which gave me goosebumps just imagining their first match together in the future. The other exciting point was when Hernandez destroyed Gail Kim. I was going insane. That was awesome. And when Jake Roberts came out I almost pissed my pants (not really, just an exaggeration). What did everyone else think?

it is plymouth, not detroit. the commercials around here are calling it the motor city and on the screen it says plymouth. i live south of plymouth and last month i was in plymouth for labor day visiting relatives. i can't tell you much about plymouth cause i'm always asleep when my dad's driving.

Who cares where It's held Detroit or Plymouth Bound for Glory is all it matters the matches will remain the same and the guys will remain same and by the way it's not in Plymouth its in Detroit,Michigan Check again dude its in DETROIT.
BFG 2006 Angle as Special Enforcer Jarret vs Sting.

Yeah, I really liked that move on Gail Kim. Girl's got some balls for taking a move like that. If I was there, I would've started chanting ECW (after all, ECW violated the taboo of beating up women). Props to Gail Kim.

Jake looks like crap. His voice is so shot from his lifestyle. He looks like he was about to collapse while walking to the ring and he kept doing weird motions with his mouth. It's definitely nice to see him, it just shocks me to know that this guy has wrestled within the past few years. I mean, he needed to rest even after walking to the ring.

When Angle came on TV I was smiling like a little kid on Christmas. It was wonderful to see that Angle Slam again (which was called the Olympic Slam - so that might be what they're calling it on TNA). Did you see how crazy the crowd was going?

There was a match that was only one minute long and it was so short that I forgot who was involved. They need to cut those out...seriously

I dont think the Compuware Sports Arena holds 15000 people. Isnt the maximum occupancy aorund 5000. Im totally unsure here, but I just remember from their first house-show, which also took place in that arena. Im pretty sure I remember them saying 5000 in attendance during a global impact segment on impact. And the event was a genuine sell-out. I think there is no doubt the event will be full-house. I mean if they sold it out for a house-show, a PPV must draw more.

And just as a note, nothing to do with wrestling but... what is it with baseball? I so don't get that sport. It is just so bleeding boring. I have never been able to watch it. And to be honest I have never seen a sober person watch and enjoy it. If you watch baseball without a beer in both hands, you realise how unbearable it is. Sorry to any diehard baseball guys out there, but I just don't get the sport.

Good show. It was great to see Kurt Angle in the Impact Zone before Bound For Glory - the crowd went nuts as expected. Gail Kim took an impressive bump (WWE were crazy for letting her and Christy Hemme go, yet they hang on to talentless divas like Michelle McCool - their loss).

The very short match involved Christian Cage & Norman Smiley (who is basically the Scotty 2 Hotty of TNA). I don't know if this is the Russo influence, but hopefully we'll see less of these matches in the future. Christian doesn't need to be built up going into the PPV - he's a former NWA Champ in one of the highest profile matches on the card.

How do you like my new name from Kurt-angle im now Angle-HHH

The Compuware Sports Arena is a multi-purpose arena located at 14900 Beck Rd. in Plymouth Township, Michigan. Then why is it called DETROIT ????
Anyways

you are right attalia I searched for it and it has 4,995 seats with maximum extension.
Many sports have been played here but its the home to IceHockey.
On October 22nd, TNA Wrestling will host Bound For Glory 2006 at the arena.
