So as I am watching Raw tonight I just saw the Goldust/Hornswoggle vs. Kendrick/Festus match and it occurred to me that the wwe may be trying to create a new Oddities stable of sorts. Festus refused to fight either Hornswoggle or Goldust. Know I know that it may be because he didn't like Kendrick but still it seems a little interesting that he still wouldn't attack even Goldust who is someone his own size. Maybe Goldust and Hornswoggle will adopt him into their strange little family. What is everyone elses thoughts on this?

Could be a cool idea. I'd rather see Goldust turn heel and be taken seriously again though. He's still in great shape and could certainly be used for more than comic relief.

Could be an interesting idea, at the very least it would give these 3 a bit of direction storyline wise, creative doesn't seem to have many other options for them other than the occasional comedy bit/job to a main eventer
That would be a cool idea as it would not only give them 3 something to do, but even though it would be a rehashed idea from back in the day, it would also be something new & fresh which the WWE has pretty much lacked for several years now. I think having Mickie James lead them around would be nice to as it would give her something to do instead of creative giving her the shaft(I would give her the shaft if you know what I mean). I don't know really, All we gotta do is to wait & see what the hell happens.
KillBill, Kurrgan wasn't in Troy, that was Nathan Jones. So Brad Pitt wouldn't know much about that. As far as the Oddities idea goes. I'm kind of torn on it. The gimmick back in 98 and 99 worked for the time, but for today, eh, I don't know. I guess it would all depend how they used it.

Golddust is still in good shape and still can move but I do nto know if I can ever take him serious as a heel... A comedic role that wins a bit makes more sense especially after they began bringing the stuttering part of his carachter back.
The Only way I can see it working, is if they made the oddities darker and more sinister, Kind of like how they re invented the joker in the Dark Knight. I could see them being pretty crazy if they were demented and such. Maybe even bring in Heel Jeff Hardy with his CRAZZEY Face Paint

I think its great in theory but wwe will mess it up and make it a comic relief group, if they will start a group with these three and add in Mickie james and santino, which is likely, I will stop watching any segment with these guys. I would love if this stable ws led by perry saturn but that would never happen
i mentioned this type of idea a few weeks ago to a friend.. i told him that they should create a freak type gimmick similar to the Oddities and have Goldust team with Hornswoggle.. which they actually ended up doing... but i also said, bring back The Boogeyman and have him join the stable.. Festus would also be alright
The oddities would definately work in this day and age. There is still a HUGE ICP following the juggalo nation could infact bring huge numbers in. I mean right now who in the WWE is representing the Juggalo nation? If the WWE wants to increase ratings bringing that awesome stable back would be sweet. Although I don't see Vince allowing it as the old bastard doesn't seem to have the slightest idea whats good for business.
I think it would work in todays day and age also. They don't even have to be freaky joker like feels. All they really have to be are a bunch of misfits who like to cause trouble in a fun way. You could add Hacksaw Jim Duggan to the group if you wanted as well and like I said previously they could have Mickie James. She could be nuts like she was when she first entered the wwe. All they have to do is have her have some sort of mental breakdown or something and BOOM you got the old Mickie James back.

Festus and Golddust would work. I'd like to see them as heels though. Maybe change Hornswoggle and repackage him as Goldswoggle. Have Gold dust kill the comedy and go back to his bisexual,diva,movie buff,creepy dude. Festus can still stay the same but instead of a bell have a movie slate or marker(that black and white thing they use before filming a scene..it's name escapes me..) and yell action. Then he goes apeshit..

I've wanted to see Goldust return to his 95/96 persona if he could produce some decent matches still imagine Goldust and that persona bidding for the IC Title? IMO could be money in the bank for WWE but Goldust would need to turn heel for it to work.

This kind of stable could work pretty well in today's age, especially with WWE trying to target kids more. Goldust, Festus, Hornswoggle (or I like the Goldswaggle idea), Mickie James, and maybe even KANE if they decided to move him back to Raw. The oddities would be great entertainment, and festus and goldust could challenge for the tag titles eventually if the gimmick is popular.
If they became popular enough, I would think that they could have a feud with Legacy eventually, but Legacy would have to come out on top. I'm not too familiar with festus or his gimmick, but i would laugh hysterically if cody rhodes hit him over the head with the bell, and Festus obliterated him.
To start off the group they could feud with Kendrick (assuming he found a few buddies), that might be pretty entertaining. Goldust is an OK basic wrestler, but he can put on entertaining matches. That would be cool if he went back to mid 90's and got that rocket launcher and everything and shot Kendrick right out of the WWE

I'm liking the idea but for women why use Mickie James? I would of personally gone for say Katie Lea and Paul Burchal, bring back his Pirate gimmick and have Katie Lea do her thing and I think you'd have a winner about the Oddities 2.0..

The only reason Finlay, And Horny split is because of bring some lost credabillity back to Finlay. As Hornswoggle is nothing more than a novelty act.
Goldust (im led to believe) is on a legends contract, So I doubt he is going to be involved in anything that lasts longer than a month.
And the real shame of this is Festus, He is a damn fine wrestler, Yet hes stuck with this shitty that isnt going to be changed anytime soon.He could be a maineventer if his gimmick was dropped, And he started to play upto the crowd, I've only seen the guy have one bad match - against Kane.

I just posted this in another thread and I found this whole thread about it. I agree their should be a new oddball type stable. Especially with those three wrestlers and maybe a mouthpiece and another since they are not going to do much with them. They in fact need more stables in WWE i feel than just legacy and possibly now hart trilogy. Another comedy stable like the oddities/job squad/bwo etc. would be interesting and it might sell more merchandise.

Well, the EXCITING match between Santino, Festus, and Goldust VS. THE Brian Kendrick, Jamie Noble and Chavo has just come to a close...Originally, when I found out that Hornswoggle and Festus were going to both be on Raw, I thought that they would immediately have Hornswoggle help Festus in singles competition...instead, they team Hornswoggle with Goldust...anyways, I think that Hornswoggle, Goldust, Festus and Santino could be another J.O.B. Squad...my questions are...
Do you think WWE will continue this little team? Do you think it would be entertaining at all or should they just be thrown into dark matches? If for some reason they would continue this team, what could they possibly do?
Also...I recently read an article on WZ that said that since Triple H and HBK have been gone, more comedic pieces are sneaking through the cracks and being put on the show....do you think that once HHH and/or HBK come back to television, how often will we see Hornswoggle, Festus, Goldust or Santino??
