NXT LD 3/1/11- Who will be the WWE's next breakout star?

sadly, this made the most sense, as Curtis/Truth as a Tag Team is more logical then Clay/ADR or Ricardo.

I still love how Brodus kept kicking everyones ass, then destroys Curtis, yet still can't win.

Curtis won. What was the point of this season again since that was clear on the first show that it would be the outcome?

We got to see how awesome Bateman was, and they're hinting that he'll stick around with Bryan since they had such amazing chemistry. It also introduced the world to Conor O'Brien who was remarkably good at playing his character, as well as Brodus Clay who has great personality and mic skills, even if his in ring stuff isn't the best. Byron Saxton was also pretty good, too, he was just kind of boring in what he did. With a better gimmick he could work out well.

To make Johnny Curtis look good...... Oh wait, they failed at that.

To showcase 5 other guys including Curtis...... Oh wait, only 2 of them were any good.

Oh, I know, because they had an hour a week of international TV time they needed to fill with original programming and decided that this was better then using guys currently on the roster.

All that being said, I'm looking forward to Season 5 if it is the whole father/son thing.

Curtis is 3-7. He got beaten by Clay how many times? How in the hell are we supposed to buy him as the winner? I want an answer to this.

Doc is the perfect wrestling fan, he finds the sliver lining in every-fucking thing.

fan voting. The Pros have a limited say (likely even more limited recently since they don't even bother showing up anymore), and the fans likely devide a vast majority. Since Brodus Clay is a heel, the WWE Universe didn't vote for him. That's the best I can come up with. Oh, and Wins and losses apparently don't matter anymore.

Then I have serious issues with the intellect of the fans. Also I don't buy for a second that Bateman got fewer votes than Curtis.

The fan voting is definitely just a technique in order to gain traffic to the WWE's website. From the beginning of the season, WWE knew that Curtis was going to win - so they worked around that.

I like him, but I don't buy him.

It's rigged. McGillicutty had somethin like a perfect record but still lost to Kaval. The fans clearly wanted DB to win Season 1 but could you see him leading the Nexus? We all know why Kaitlyn beat out Naomi and AJ despite not being a trained wrestler in any capacity upon her debut. Don't play.
