NXT Faction- Flagship Show??

Pre-Show Stalwart
Well, NXT as a reality show is pretty much a one or two season gig. You honestly can't keep pushing people by winning next every 15 weeks ( 4 months) PLUS all the extra talent that has to have a rooster spot temporarily ext. to get over. Point is the show has a life span, It isn't something that is going to be around for 15 or 20 years like Raw and Smackdown have the potential to be, so here is my topic of discussion...

We currently have the previous seasons 8 rookies attacking , maiming, and basically deystroying the RAW show. They demolished it, we don't know why or how.. but it is bringin back shades of the NWO Invasion of WCW, in its prime , when it wasn't being re-hashed to death long after the angle had run its course. Now one of the failed concepts in the NWO was the faction having there own show.. They took it over, they ran it, it was theres..

In any way shape or form would you be intrested in NXT basically being over-run and taken over for the remainder of its time.. Obviously smackdown is moving to syfy come october and it would be a GREAT way to plug the channel for the move.. NXT ratings would skyrocket and it might help smackdowns eventual move over to the station..

EDIT for Clarification: NXT Season 1 Rookies Take over NXT and it becomes there "base of operations" so to say to invade Raw and Smackdown.. Full scale invasion storyline assumed - May be early to make so many assumptions, but it was one hell of a start to this angle

Hm... interesting idea.

Perhaps They take it over and try and recruit all the season 2 rookies. I assume some of S2 guys would join, while others would try and fight back and some guys switching factions from time to time. Like a big NXT civil war.

OR

Maybe have all the NXT rookies from season 1 kick all the new NXT pros out and run NXT themselves to try to determine who the cream of the crop of the rookies are to join their new renegade faction.

Could be some cool stuff.

I think it could work, I don't see it actually happening, but if WWE decided to go with it, I could see it working out fairly well.

But as I said, I don't see it happening, because WWE will be using NXT to actually serve the purpose of which it was created, while making it the show for the NXT season 1 rookies, I don't think it's the way WWE will be going, because the NXT show first of all doesn't have the talent, the belts or anything to establish the guy's who will be getting a main roster spot.

I think it's pretty safe to say that the rookies were the ones that put the UT out and one of two things will happen to most of the rookies...they will either be taken out by Kane or be left for the Taker (Barrett).

I really hope they don't use these kids as jobbers for UT and Kane because both are established stars that don't need that kind of push. The rookies need the rub from them...not to be used to show how big of "monsters" they are.

The taking over smackdown idea sounds awesome, but I think they should stay away from NXT as thats kinda like the plastic floating bag in the fish tank...they are already out...why go back?

i dont think they are gonna make them jobbers they are gonna try to push them since i believe wwe wants to make a third show but instead of doing what they did with ecw and throwing it together half ass and bringing in a bunch of nobodys not talking about the 4 ecw originals of course and try to develope there characters and feuds on the show instead they are using nxt to develope their characters first to get the audience interrested in them next they are gonna get their feud going then put them on their own show.
so how im thinking its going to play out season 1 and 2 join forces wreck havoc on raw and smackdown eventually somthings gonna happen where they are gonna split cause half them would think its gone to far becoming the baby faces the other half aint gonna think its gone far enough starting the premise for the first feud on the new show and of course other feuds will branch off from there.

First off, the two seasons should NOT be joined. Season 1 showed a dark ruthlessness on RAW, while season 2 looks like a bunch of jokers, excluding Kaval, who wouldn't work too well in a serious role. NXT is in Season 1's past. They need to move on and keep to themselves. Giving them a show to set up a takeover would require lots of segments and promos, which isnt what made the initial "invasion" so amazing. They came, they conquered, they didn't say shit. The less talking, the more mysterious they are as a unit.

NXT doesn't have to end IMO. Think about it, doesn't WWE usually debut a new guy every 4 months or so? This gives them a way to see who will work on the main roster, without wasting time on RAW or SD! and see who will get over more with the fans. Personally, NXT works better for me than several months of watching a guy I don't know crush jobbers and getting maybe a promo or two, but that's unlikely. NXT works, and it's got a few more seasons left, given creative can come up with 8 unique gimmicks every few months.
