Yes, that Jazz.

Few things that stood out to me about this promo:

• It's ingrained in realism, and that is setting them apart from other organizations. Noticed it with Cody, Tim Storm, Austin Idol, and Aldis too.
• Jazz can cut a decent enough promo without knowing who her opponent is.
• Who knew Jazz was still wrestling? NWA Women's Champion? There even being an NWA Women's Champion?
• Props to Corgan for slowly reintroducing parts of NWA history. There's more to look forward to than a Worlds rematch.

Curious about who they can get to fight her. There are several out there that could put on a good show and not break the bank, and honestly I think NWA is in a very good spot to pluck someone from obscurity right now and get eyes on them better than any school gym could. I'm doubtful that mystery opponent will take the gold at NWA 70, as I think it's more important to say "hey, Jazz is our champion and there may be quality in that" than to immediately get it off of her. But who knows, maybe whoever she faces will have some name value all her own.

Word is out that Jazz's first opponent under the new NWA is Penelope Ford.

Penelope is a 24 year old wrestler from Combat Zone Wrestling. She is also a current tag team champion for Women Superstars Uncensored with Maria Manic as "Ruthless Ambition".

She obviously has "the look", and it wouldn't surprise me at all if she walked away with the NWA Women's title. They're in a spot where a title change wouldn't hurt all that much and Jazz can regain later, but I highly doubt Ford is winning here. I watched a few of her matches online and she from what I saw and what is said on cagematch she is the sort that tends to lose way more than she wins, so she could just be there to get something out of Jazz. A quality persona with an average workrate it seems.

I think this was the right choice if Jazz is going over. They're still building a brand and re-introducing the titles with their champions, so I didn't really expect someone like Awesome Kong or even Tessa Blanchard to get tossed in there.

I'm curious to see how this goes.
