The NWA is my favorite brand right now, mostly because it give me what i want in a wrestling product, great storytelling and wrestlers that actually look like wrestlers and don't need to do stupid stunts to get a reaction, so it's no surprise that i bought all their ppv including both of the shows they presented last weekend. So here are might thought on both show the nwa presented this weekend.

First the empowerr shows.

Highlights: melina vs deanna purazzo: awesome match that told a great story and highlighted what deanna can do in the ring.

Kamille vs lelah hirsch: again really strong match and it kinda expose AEW a little bit since it showed how their underneath girls are way better then those being highlighted on their main shows.

Diamante vs some mexican wrestler vs kylie rae: again pretty decent match but again showed how AEW isn't pushing the right wrestlers.

Awesome kong retirement speech: just great moment and great way to retire

Fails: the productions of the show: they had some production issues all nights from the commentators mics being too loud to bad camera angles to airing billy corgan talking to others production people in the beginning. The production was a disaster and it took you out of the match.

The match placement: i think that some of the matches weren't put at the right place espcially the invitational match that was place in the main event spot after to great main event caliber matches.

The nwa invitational: i get what they were trying to do with that match but the fact that most of the participants were younger performers that looked like lower card performers that wouldn'd get a shot of being booked on a shimmer card made the match look weak and again, the technical problems didn't help the match.

Nwa 73

Highlights: ric flair's speech: just a great speech that felt from the heart and prove how classy ric flair really is.

Trevor murdoch vs nick aldis: great conclusion to a great story plus having ric flair give the rub to trevor after the match just made it that much better.

Pretty much every other matches on the card: outside of the battle royal, everything else on the card was pretty strong. So nothing realy negative tp speak off,

Fails: only one fails for me and that was the battle royal. Way too long of a match with a lot of guys that truly look like they didn't know what to do. It really dragged and really shouldn't have been as long as it was.

In the end, the NWA did delivered a great weekend of pro wrestling like it should be done and i want to see what the fallout from that weekend will be.
