Jamie Noble and Dean Malenko are waiting in the ring, as THROWDOWN returns from commercial. They're music comes to a stop, and
Twin Method's Fake starts to play over the speakers, signaling the arrival of the number one contenders for the tag team titles,
Twin Method. The crowd gives a loud pop for them, as they run through the curtain, and make a beeline to the ring. They dive in, under the ropes, simultaneously, and pop up in front of their opponents. They remove their vests, and get to their corner, awaiting the start of the match.
The bell rings, and CM Punk, and Jamie Noble, step out of the ring. Dean and Hurricane lock up right away, testing their strength against each other. Dean is able to overpower Helms, and forces him down to his knees. He sticks a boot into his chest, and pushes him backwards, until he's holding him down with his boot, while still wrenching his arms. The shoulders go down, and the ref gets a 1 count, before Helms is able to lift his shoulders. Dean stomps him back down, and releases the hold. Dean uses a standing senton splash to keep Helms down, and then locks on an inverted facelock, while still laying down on across Helms' chest. Helms is able to get his arm in front of Malenko's throat, and pull him backwards, getting his shoulders to the mat. The ref counts, and is at 1, before Malenko breaks his hold, and rolls out of the pin. Before Helms can get to his feet, Malenko delivers two kicks to his side, and then grabs him up by his arm, and whips him into the corner near Jamie Noble. He tags in his partner, and delivers a shoulderblock to Helms, keeping him in place, while Noble steps in and delivers a chop. Malenko leaves the ring, as Noble delivers 4 more sharp chops to Helms' chest. Helms drops to his knees, clutching his chest. Noble applies a rear chinlock, and Helms instantly tries to get to his feet, to get away from the hold. Noble wrenches it in, but Helms is too tall for him, so he can't lock it in fully. Hurricane is able to twist sideways, and break the hold after some elbows to Jamie's ribs. He whips Noble across the ring, into the corner near CM Punk. Helms applies a wristlock, and then tags in Punk, who delivers a double axe handle to the back of Noble's arm, before applying the same wristlock. Noble is forced down to his knees, where Punk hits him with 2 stiff kicks to his chest, while holding in the wristlock.
The One Big Will said:
What CM Punk has done, since entering this match, is torque that arm, and by landing the blow on his back, and the kicks to the chest, he's driving the wind from his opponent, and pulling on all the muscles in the upper body.
Noble tries to roll out of the move, but Punk won't let go. He does, however, give Jamie two hard kicks to his back, which sends Noble face-first to the mat. Punk climbs on his back, turning the wristlock into a hammerlock, and then hammering Noble's back with 3 hard forearms, before helping him to his feet. He releases the hold, and as Noble shakes the feeling back into his fingers, Punk uses a standing dropkick to send him back down. He tags Helms back in, who immediately runs across the ring, and rebounds off the ropes with a diving clothesline on Noble, who had gotten to his knees. Hurricane goes for the quick cover, and gets a two before Noble kicks out, and rolls towards the ropes. Helms starts to show some frustration, and the delay allows Noble to make the tag to Malenko. Malenko hurries through the ropes, and lands a European uppercut on the kneeling Helms. Helms falls backwards, and Malenko grabs his legs, and starts to roll him over for a Boston crab. Helms fights it, and blocks the full crab, but Malenko is able to lock on a half crab. Any time Helms tries to lift Malenko, Dean drops his weight on the back of Helms thigh. Hurricane is face down on the mat, grabbing at his leg. He tries one more time to reach for the ropes, and Malenko drags him back to the middle of the ring. The ref checks Helms for a submission, but he won't give up. He pushes up one more time, except this time, when Melanko goes to drop his weight, he drops himself to the mat, making his opponent lose his balance, and fall off of him. Malenko is sitting, holding his lower back, while Helms is slowly crawling to his corner, grabbing his leg the whole way. Malenko is up, and grabs his good leg, stopping him a foot, or two, short of his partner. Helms gets up on his bad leg, and delivers a quick mule kick, getting Malenko off his foot, and then makes the tag to CM Punk. Noble tags himself in, and meets with Punk in the middle of the ring, exchanging blow after blow, with neither man getting an edge. Finally, Punk is able to land a hard kick to the side of Noble's thigh, knocking him to the mat, clutching his knee. Punk delivers a double leg drop, and then goes for the pin, getting only a 2 count before Noble rolls the shoulder. Punk helps him to his feet, and whips him into the ropes, before giving him a back body drop over the top rope to the outside. Punk waits in the corner, as the ref counts. At 6, Noble is able to get to his feet, and walks around the side of the ring before crawling in under the ropes. Before he can get to his feet, Punk grabs his arm, and locks on the Anaconda Vice!
Mr. 487 said:
Most people would panic right now. Noble's arm, and upper body were worked on earlier, but he's a smart man. He'll find a way out of this.
The One Big Will said:
I think you're giving him too much credit. He's a fine wrestler, but not just anyone can get out of this hold.
Noble is screaming in pain, and the ref keeps checking for the submission. Noble starts to fade, and Malenko gets in the ring, stomping on Punk to break the hold. Punk does, and Malenko is leaning over him, delivering punches to his head, and chest. Noble is rolling away, holding his arms in front of his chest. The ref is trying to get Malenko off of Punk, and is at 4 in his count, when Helms comes from nowhere, and connects with a shining wizard to the side of Malenko's head, knocking him off of Punk, and clear out of the ring! The ref goes to get Helms out of the ring, but he's already heading back to his corner, as Noble and Punk get to their feet. Noble swings at Punk wildly, and misses, and Punk catches him, and sets him up for the GTS! Punk connects, and Noble flips back to the mat. Punk goes for the cover, and gets the 1...2...3 for the victory!
Fake plays through the arena again, as the crowd cheers for the number one contenders to the tag titles.
The One Big Will said:
What a wild finish! Malenko had no choice but to break the hold, but he made a rare mistake, and didn't account for Helms, who broke up the assault, and evened the odds for Twin Method.
Mr. 487 said:
Hurricane is nothing but a cheater. He saw the match slipping from their grasp, and interfered, against the rules. They should've been disqualified. Is this the type of crap we can expect at BLACK TIDE? Maybe a more deserving tag team, like Hatebreed should get the title shot instead!
The One Big Will said:
Twin Method deserves their title shot. They won the number one contenders' match, and they've done nothing wrong. Helms had to interfere to defend his partner.
Before Mr. 487 can respond,
No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn hits the sound system, and
Nunzio makes his way into the NSCW Arena. The crowd is booing, and it gets him visibly angry. He mounts a turnbuckle, and starts to yell at various fans in the crowd, and
619 cuts him off.
Rey Mysterio comes through the curtain to a much different ovation, getting high fives and cheers all the way to the ring.
Rey barely has his shirt off, as the bell rings, and Nunzio charges at him, and goes for a double leg takedown. He starts to throw some haymakers, but Rey is covering up, and nothing is connecting. Rey is able to push him off, before rolling out of the ring to create some distance. Nunzio dives through the ropes with a suicide dive, and misses, without Rey even moving out of the way! Rey just shakes his head, and rolls Nunzio back in the ring, before climbing to the top turnbuckle. He splashes down on Nunzio, and goes for a pin, getting a 2, before Nunzio gets his foot on the ropes. Rey gets to his feet, and helps Nunzio up. He whips him into the ropes, and uses a crossbody to take him down. He then steps to the outside, and waits for Nunzio to get to his feet. As soon as Nunzio gets to his feet, he turns around, right into a west coast pop! Mysterio hooks the leg, and gets the simple 3 count for the win.
The One Big Will said:
Go ahead. I'd love to hear this. Explain now, how Rey cheated, and Nunzio should've won.
Mr. 487 said:
OK. Well...um...Rey...He uh...You see, Nunzio...He...
The One Big Will said:
Spit it out! What are you going to say?
Mr. 487 said:
I'm speechless. There's nothing to say to that. Let's just go to commercial.
A video package, explaining the history between Evan Bourne, and Bam Bam Bigelow, is shown as THROWDOWN goes to commercial.
The Pip welcomes us back from break, with the introductions for the next match, as a steel cage is lowered over the ring.
The Pip said:
This next match, is a Steel Cage Match! Here in NSCW, you cannot win this match via pinfall, submission, or by exiting the cage door. To win, you must climb the cage, and land with both feet on the floor on the outside.
He waits a moment to let the crowd react, as they start to cheer, and the cage is secured into place.
Bam Bam Bigelow is out first, to nothing but boos.
The Pip said:
Hailing from Asbury Park, New Jersey...He stands at six feet, three inches tall, and weighs in today at thee hundred and seventy pounds. He's the "Beast From The East"...Bam Bam Bigelow!
As he finishes the introduction, Bam Bam is climbing through the cage door. He takes a minute to circle the ring, shaking the cage, and checking each corner. Once his music stops, his face turns serious, and he turns toward the entrance ramp.
The Pip said:
His opponent tonight, weighing in at one hundred eighty three pounds, standing at five feet, nine inches tall...He is the master of the shooting star press...Evan Bourne!
Bourne flies through the curtain, and all the way down the ramp, seemingly floating above the floor. He leaps, catching the side of the cage, and starts to climb the side, as The Pip exits through the door, where the ref locks it behind him, and makes sure it stays shut with a chain.
Bam Bam is standing in the ring, looking up at Bourne, who has perched himself on top of the cage. The bell rings, and Bourne immediately flies off with a cross body, taking Bam Bam down to the mat, where he starts to unload lefts and rights, on him. Bam Bam is trying to cover up, but Bourne is just oo fast for him. Bourne finally stops, and climbs to the nearest turnbuckle, and flies off with a moonsault, landing on his downed opponent. He springs off the ropes, and lands another splash onto Bam Bam, before climbing to the middle turnbuckle, and goes for a diving elbow. Bam Bam rolls out of the way, and Bourne crashes to the mat. Both men are down, but Bourne is stirring. Bourne leans against the cage, and waits for Bam Bam to get to his knees. He uses a scissor kick to take Bam Bam down. Bam Bam starts to stand up, holding onto Bourne's ankle, wrapping his leg around the back of his neck, leaving him hanging in front of him. Bigelow then uses a Samoan drop-like maneuver to drive Bourne's knee into the mat, as well as his entire upper body. As he gets up, he grabs a hold of Bourne's right ankle, and then proceeds to ram his knee into the mat twice. Bam Bam then buries his own knee in the back of Bourne's, while applying an ankle lock. Bam Bam rises to his feet, and drops the knee one more time. Bourne lets out a yell, as Bam Bam finally releases the hold. Bam Bam grabs Evan by the back of his neck, and picks him up with one hand. He spins around, whipping Bourne across the ring, where he smashes into the steel face-first. He falls back in to the ring, where Bam Bam sits on is chest, facing his legs. From there he grabs Evan's leg, wraps his arm around it, and pulls it back towards his body, giving it full extension. Bourne tries to fight his way out, but to no avail.
Mr. 487 said:
This is smart wrestling by Bam Bam Bigelow. Bourne is quicker, and this is all an equalizer. It's also damn near impossible to climb the cage, on one leg.
The One Big Will said:
This is smart wrestling, but he can't ever assume that Bourne is done for. He's been out for about a month now, getting himself ready for this showdown with Bam Bam, and I doubt he's going to stay on the mat, and let his opponent take his legs out from under him.
Evan Bourne is still under Bam Bam, getting his leg wrenched under the strength of Bam Bam. He tries pulling on the shirt, but has no success. He grabs the only thing that he can get his hands on, and that's Bam Bam's beard. He yanks on it, getting Bam Bam off of his chest, and forcing him to let go of his leg. Bigelow grabs his wrist, breaking the hold on his beard, and then stands up, and delivers a kick to Bourne's elbow, before dropping an elbow across his chest. He grabs him under his arm, and stands back up, dropping Bourne to the mat with a sidewalk slam. Bam Bam takes his time getting to his feet, as Bourne writhes on the mat, clutching his knee. As Bigelow gets to his feet, he springs off the ropes, and drops a headbutt to Bourne's thigh, and goes for a second one, connecting to the same leg. Bourne rolls away from Bam Bam, under the ropes, and leaning against the cage. Bam Bam reaches through the ropes, and starts to pull Bourne out, but Bourne hangs on to the rope with his left leg, and left arm. Bam Bam has a hold of his other arm, and other leg, and snaps Bourne off the rope, and releases him, letting him fall to the mat. Bam Bam climbs up to the middle ropes, and jumps off, splashing onto Bourne. He gets back to his feet, and then looks towards the cage. He makes a long, slow climb up the turnbuckle, before grabbing a hold of the cage. He has some trouble finding a footing, and this allows Bourne to get up in the ring, and limp to where he is on the corner. He grabs a hold of Bam Bam's leg, preventing him from climbing the cage. Bigelow is able to kick him off, but then loses his balance, falling between the ropes and the cage, with his leg caught between the ropes! Bourne is able to get back to his feet, and grab a hold of Bam Bam's foot, before falling to the mat, ripping Bam Bam's leg down with him, while it's still wrapped up in the ropes. As his leg snaps back, it comes out from between the ropes, and let's him fall to the mat.
The One Big Will said:
I'm willing to bet anything, that Evan Bourne is able to climb the cage faster than Bam Bam Bigelow on one leg.
Mr. 487 has no response, as Bourne leans Bam Bam's leg through the bottom rope, before dropping all his wait across his shin. Bam Bam rolls back in under the ropes, and Bourne climbs to the middle rope, using the cage to balance himself, before using a Vaderbomb-like splash, landing across Bam Bam's chest. Bam Bam gets his arms under him, and pushes him up, and off, of him, and against the ropes. Bourne uses the ropes to get back to his feet, and is barely able to sidestep the rushing Bam Bam, who crashes into the turnbuckle, and falls backwards, into the ring. Bourne is having trouble keeping weight on his leg, and falls to the mat as well. Both men stay down for a few seconds, gripping their hurt legs. Bourne is up first, and Bam Bam is up behind him. Bourne grabs his arm, and goes for the Irish whip, but Bam Bam reverses, sending Bourne crashing into the cage again. This one brings a small trickle of blood to Evan's forehead, and sends him flying back to the mat. Bam Bam drops his good knee into the chest of his opponent, and then gets back to his feet, before scooping up Bourne, and setting him up in a tree of woe in the corner. He delivers a hard right hand to Evan's groin, before delivering kick after kick to the midsection, using the ropes for leverage. Bourne eventually falls back into the ring, and Bam Bam rolls him away from the ropes, before climbing them himself. He turns around, and lands a big diving headbutt on Evan Bourne! Bam Bam took the fall hard also, and both men are down again. After a few seconds, Bam Bam is to his knees, as he stands up, Bourne gets to his knees. He goes for a straight kick to Bourne, but Bourne ducks it, and delivers a low blow, sending the big man to the mat! Bourne gets to his feet, and then tries to climb the cage, but only has one good leg to push himself up with! This gives Bam Bam more than enough time to get up, and set up Bourne for an electric chair drop. Bourne crashes to the mat, and Bam Bam is right back up. He grabs Bourne up by his head, and throws him over his shoulder, before ramming his head into the cage. This brings some more blood to Bourne's face, as he falls off of Bigelow's shoulder, and back to the canvas. He gets to his knees, but Bam Bam is already climbing the cage. He grabs a hold of Bam Bam's good leg, and almost instantly, Bam Bam loses balance, and slides down the cage, scraping his face and hands all the way down to the mat. Blood is quickly pouring out from over his eyes, as well as from scrapes along his forehead. Bourne delivers a dropkick to his back, forcing him into the cage one more time. He rolls back into the ring, where Bourne is waiting to deliver a leg drop, followed by forearms to the head. Bam Bam is trying to cover up, but the blood is flowing freely, and he's losing the strength to fight off Bourne.
The One Big Will said:
If Evan is smart, he'll use this adrenaline rush to get out of that cage, before he starts to feel that leg again, or worse, before Bam Bam gets to his feet.
Mr. 487 said:
If, Will. If. If, Evan was smart, he'd do that. But, he's obviously not. His rage has taken over, and he's pre-occupied with causing harm to Bam Bam Bigelow.
Bourne gets to his feet, and lands kicks to the side of Bam Bam's head, when in a fit of rage, Bam Bam gets to his feet, landing a pounding right fist to Bourne's head, knocking him straight down to the mat. He goes to the top rope, and connects with a moonsault of his own, squashing his opponent under him. He then climbs the cage, all the way to the top, before throwing one leg over, and sitting on the corner of the cage. He looks down at Bourne, who still isn't moving.
Mr. 487 said:
What did I tell you Will! Bourne isn't as smart as you were giving him credit, and it cost him dearly. Instead of climbing out of the cage when he had a chance, he's just lost this match.
The One Big Will said:
Not so quick there. Bam Bam still hasn't climbed out of the cage. He's just sitting there, with a very sick look on his face.
Bam Bam grabs a hold of the cable that lowered the cage to the ring, and stands up on top of the cage, and then waits for it to stop shaking, and catches his balance. Bourne is still not moving on the mat, and Bam Bam just stands there, staring down at him. The crowd starts to boo, half-expecting what's next. Bam Bam lets go of the cable, holds his arms up, and falls into the cage, delivering a diving headbutt of the top of the cage.
The One Big Will said:
Evan moved! Evan moved out of the way! Bam Bam has just fallen from the top of the cage, face first, and there's blood everywhere!
Bam Bam rolls to his back, clutching at his neck. Bourne is on his knees, and takes a moment to collect himself, before getting to his feet, and leaning on the ropes, looking down on his opponent. He looks to the top of the cage, and then back at Bam Bam, before climbing the turnbuckle, and springing himself to the top of the cage. He grabs a hold of the cable to balance himself, and then signals to the crowd, for the shooting star press! The moment he lets go of the cable, he flies off the cage, landing on top of Bam Bam Bigelow, as the crowd begins to cheer, and chant his name. He rolls off of Bam Bam, and both men lay on the mat, blood pouring from their faces. Bourne is sitting up, but Bam Bam has yet to move. Evan crawls to the ropes, dragging himself up, before limping to the corner. Bam Bam has gotten to his knees, but can't stand all the way up. He crawls to the corner, pulling on Bourne's leg, as he tries to get to the top rope. Bam Bam uses Evan's body to pull himself to his feet, and then climbs to the middle rope, right behind Bourne. Bourne quickly hops to the cage's side, and starts a slow climb to the top. Bam Bam starts climbing the side adjacent to him, and both men are racing, albeit, very slowly, to the top. Bourne gets to the top first, and sits atop the cage, looking down as Bam Bam makes his way up the other side. Bourne gets to his feet on top of the cage, just as Bam Bam gets to the top of the other side. Both men grabs a hold of the cable, and stare at each other, before looking down at the concrete below. Bourne lands a left hand to Bam Bam's skull, swaying the big man. As Bourne tries to keep his balance atop the cage, Bam Bam winds up, and delivers a right punch to Bourne's chest, knocking off the cage, and into the crowd! The crowd catches Bourne, and carries him all the way to the back, before rolling him onto the entrance ramp, and the bell rings! Bourne has won! Bam Bam is still on top of the cage, staring on in amazement!
The One Big Will said:
Did you see that!? Bam Bam knocked Bourne off of the cage, and then he essentially crowd-surfed all the way to the ramp, where his feet finally touched the ground, and he won!
Mr. 487 said:
This is a travesty. Bourne nearly killed himself with that shooting star press, and then he gets to the top of the cage first? What did we miss? What happened? Bam Bam should've won this match.
Bourne is finally to his feet, posing at the top of the ramp as his music blares through the arena. Bam Bam starts the slow climb down the cage, shaking his head, stunned at the outcome.
A video package reviews the match, showcasing Evan's death-defying leap, and then the fall on to the crowd, as we head to commercial.
When we return from commercial, we see Chris Jericho standing in the back, having a conversation with a wrestler from a rival company, Nighthawk. Before long, Dee Dragon appears, mic in hand.
Chris Jericho said:
What do you want? Can't you see I'm talking to the Champion Of Wrestling? He finally gets a chance to come down here, see his old buddy, and you interrupt.
Dee Dragon said:
Look, if it were up to me, I'd be off interviewing someone that can wrestle, like Melissa, or Nattie. Instead, Zachary has me doing this crap. He wants to know what you think about your match with Rey Mysterio at BLACK TIDE.
Chris Jericho said:
What can I say? Matthew gave the orders. At BLACK TIDE, Rey Mysterio and myself, will face for my NSCW Heavyweight Championship. I don't have anything personal against Rey. He's an excellent competitor, but we had our match, and we saw who the better man was already. I'll go to BLACK TIDE as champ, and I'll leave as champ. It's that simple. If Rey was the better man, he'd be wearing this gold, wouldn't he?
Dee Dragon said:
I don't think this has anything to do with who the better man is. Matthew clearly said, that he's giving the fans what they want, and that's a rematch.
Chris Jericho said:
I didn't say it was anything personal. If Rey wants it to be, that's up to him. He can show up at BLACK TIDE, and do everything he can, but it just won't be enough.
Jericho turns and leaves, and the camera cuts to The One Big Will, and Mr. 487, at ringside.
The One Big Will said:
I don't know why, but it seems Jericho is intent on making this match with Rey personal. Why can't it just be a simple match between two competitors? I understand the gold means a lot, but if Jericho is so sure that he's keeping the title, why make it personal?
Mr. 487 said:
I don't see the problem with it. Jericho is the champ, and Rey needs to remember that. If Jericho wants to make it personal, that's his right. If Rey doesn't like it, he can go to the pay-per-view, and shut him up.
The One Big Will said:
You're not helping at all. But, if you're a fan of personal matches, this next match will be right up your alley. Two weeks ago, we saw Raven and LuFisto beat each other senseless, until finally, the bell rung, when LuFisto busted open Raven, winning their First Blood Match. Before that match even started, they made themselves an Extreme Rules Match at our first ever pay-per-view. They're up next, so let's go to the ring, and get ready for the match.
The Pip said:
Ladies, and gentlemen, this next match is an intergender one-on-one match. Regular rules will apply. Making their way to the ring first, standing at five feet, once inch, she is the Super Hardcore Anime...LuFisto!
LuFisto walks through the curtain as her music hits, and the crowd has a much different reaction to her, cheering her all the way to the ring.
The One Big Will said:
Well, Mr. 487, what do you have to say about this? The first time we saw LuFisto, the fans were puzzled that she was Zachary's choice to face Raven. Then, half of them laughed, when she answered Raven's open challenge. Then she won, and now they're cheering her! Talk about a show of respect.
Mr. 487 said:
I call it a show of stupidity. So what? She won one match, and it wasn't even a wrestling match. It was a First Blood Match. I could win one of those, with the right amount of luck.
Raven steps through the curtain as his music begins, and the crowd starts to boo him, as LuFisto sits on the middle rope, waiting for him.
The Pip said:
Her opponent, on the way to the ring, weighing in at two hundred and forty five pounds, and standing at six feet, one inch tall, Raven!
Raven gets to the ring apron, and pauses, looking at LuFisto, who is holding the ropes open, before slowly stepping through. He goes to the opposite corner, and removes his jacket, while still trying to stare down LuFisto, who is smiling in her corner, and not showing any signs of backing down. The ref calls them to the middle of the ring, and explains that this match will not be under extreme rules, making sure both wrestlers understand.
The ref backs away, and calls for the bell. Raven and LuFisto are chest-to-chest, and Raven backs her all the way into the corner. LuFisto leans up on the tips of her toes, and still isn't quite face-to-face with Raven, so she climbs up on the bottom turnbuckle, and smiles innocently, but Raven doesn't find it funny. He winds up for a right hand, but she throws her legs up, and delivers a hurracanrana, tossing him across the ring. Both wrestlers spring to their feet, and Raven charges at her with a shoulderblock. She side steps him, grabs his belt, and runs him all the way into the ring post. Raven grabs at his shoulder, as LuFisto jumps out of the ring, and grabs a hold of his hand. She swings his arm back, and wraps it around the post, and he falls back into the ring, holding his arm. LuFisto climbs to the top rope from the outside, and splashes on to Raven with a senton bomb. Raven springs up to a seated position, and LuFisto gets to her feet, and runs off the far ropes, flying back at Raven with her version of the rolling thunder, tossing her lower body into his chest. She lands sitting on his chest, and hooks the leg for a pinfall attempt, but only gets a one before he kicks out. LuFisto climbs to the middle turnbuckle, and falls back onto Raven with a banzai drop. Raven throws a forearm at her, and she counters with one of her own, while still seated on his chest. Raven finally gets his hands on her back, and pushes her up as he bridges himself out from under her, before delivering a hard kick to the back of her head, forcing her forward against the mat. She gets to all fours, but Raven kicks her arm out, and applies a side headlock. She gets to her knees, and then to her feet, before starting to lay elbows into Raven's rib to break the hold. It takes four to loosen his grip, and then she slides out, before dropkicking him into the ropes, where he springs back at her. She wraps her arms around him, and takes him to the mat with a German suplex. She bridges through for a pin, and gets a 2, but Raven rolls out. Raven stumbles backwards, and collapses against the bottom turnbuckle, trying to gather himself. LuFisto doesn't give him the chance, flying at him with another rolling thunder. She grabs the middle ropes, and pulls herself up, and then climbs to the top rope, before falling straight down, landing both knees to the top of Raven's head, forcing him to the mat. She gets to the other side of the ring, and runs at Raven going for a seated senton, but he rolls out of the ring, and she hangs herself up over the bottom rope. Raven gets in the ring, and grabs LuFisto's pigtails, dragging her back into the ring. He stands over her, punching her in the face, while standing on her arms, so she can't defend herself. The ref screams at him to avoid the closed fist, and then uses his count, getting Raven to stop at 4. LuFisto is flat on the mat, blood dripping from her nose. Raven is still standing over her, and she spits blood in his face, before getting to her feet, and using a DDT to take him to the mat. He stays down on the mat, wiping blood from his eyes, as she locks in LuFisto's Law, her version of the rear naked choke!
Mr. 487 said:
This can't be allowed! The ref needs to break this up. Chokes are not allowed, especially that one!
The One Big Will said:
She has until the ref's five count to break the hold, so don't go panicking, thinking this is the end of the match. I wonder if Raven is regretting second-guessing LuFisto, both as a wrestler, and as a challenge in the ring.
The ref tries to break the hold himself, but doesn't have any success. He starts his count, and LuFisto breaks it at two, and gets to her feet, leaving Raven on the mat, grasping at his throat. She goes to the other side of the ring, bent over, her hands on her knees, waiting for Raven to get to his feet. As soon as he does, she charges it, with her shoulder lowered, and takes him all the way to the turnbuckle. Raven's back is slammed against the corner, and she backs up to deliver a shoulder thrust, but he steps out, and catches her in a front facelock, before turning around and leveling her with an Evenflow DDT. He keeps the front facelock on, choking the life out of her as the ref reminds him this is not a hardcore match. Raven doesn't break the hold, and the ref is forced to use his count, again. At 4, Raven releases the hold, and gets to his feet. He uses his boot to roll over his opponent. LuFisto's forehead is bright red, from the impact with the canvas, and there's still blood coming from her nose, and trickling down her chin. Raven kneels next to her, and lifts his fist to throw a punch, but stops himself. He goes for the simple cover, and gets a quick three count for the win. As his music starts, he rolls out of the ring, and heads straight to the back, as LuFisto sits up in the ring, and makes her way to the back.
Mr. 487 said:
I'm glad Raven was able to silence the crowd, and pick up the win, but why didn't he pull the trigger? Why didn't he take the shot at LuFisto?
The One Big Will said:
I think Raven finally showed some signs of having a heart, and realized he didn't need to hit her, to end the match. She was down, she wasn't moving, and her face was covered in blood. Why add insult to injury?
The ring crew is in the ring with towels, cleaning up the blood from the last two matches, as we head to our final commercial break of the night.
