NorCal's Podcast

Listened to the latest one earlier today, good show guys and I like the division previews. Though I'm surprised you guys seem to have no faith in Johnny Football, I think with a proper chance and a few good targets he could lead that team for years to come.

Gonna be podcasting my ass off this weekend.

Nailing down a MITB preview show for sunday morning, working on nailing down the much anticipated Barbosa episode, and will be recording a show solo (if I can figure out how) for a special presentation.

Catching up on your podcasts now, about to start #12.

"What do you have to do to be qualified for an Intercontinental title match, be able to make a ham sandwich!?"

:lmao:

I have not laughed so hard at anything in a long, LONG time. Great stuff.

Was able to figure out the black hole that was my inability to update WWP episodes. Apparently the PodBean app sucks so bad that one must routinely delete and reinstall the app in order for it to recognize new episodes. If anyone else uses this medium and has been having the same problem...well there you go.

Furthermore, I haven't finished episode 11 and haven't gotten into any of the football stuff yet. But a suggestion for Ty episodes: send in fantasy football questions!

This is only the second podcast that I've managed to listen to and I must say, I really enjoyed the wrestling get part of it. Needless to say, you guys balance the smark and the mark really well and it made for really enjoyable listening. I didn't listen to the football part of it because I don't watch American Football. Still, really awesome show.

Do you watch rugby at all Dave? If you do send me info on what to watch. I wanna do a rugby talk podcast one of these days but I'm such a novice in the sport and don't know what the premiere leagues are.

Rugby is quite an intricate game - a lot of what even experts would call silly rules.

As for what to watch, the annual international tournaments are where to start - the Rugby Championship of the southern hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina) and the Six Nations of Europe (England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy).

As for domestic leagues, in the southern hemisphere there is the Super 15 between five teams each of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

In the north, there is the Celtic League (teams from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Italy), the Guinness Premiership in England and the Top 14 in France. The best teams in these three leagues play in the European Cup.

On top of those annual competitions, there is the Rugby World Cup this year in Sept/Oct.

The Rugby World Cup is going to be at least partially in the Olympic Stadium. I recommend you all watch it to see it full for the last time West Ham get Millwall in the cup and it gets burned down.

Yeah, that. Essentially.

THREE NEW EPISODES UP!!!

I will be highly impressed with anyone who makes it through both of episodes 13 and 14. Not that they are bad by any means, they are actually probably my best performances as a host, and the best shows we have done content wise. They just uh....yea, you will see. LOL

Episode 15 is my best attempt at a retrospective of the life and legacy of Dusty Rhodes.

It will be interesting to see if you get an episode or two about the Peloponnesian War. Because that is another interesting war and the role of the Persians working with the Spartans is really fascinating.

I'm behind and just listened to the Barbosa episodes. Looks like I have a boon to buy. I enjoy history, and loved the two episodes. Things in life that need to happen. 1). Paul Heyman tells the history of the Jews, and 2). Barbosa and NorCal teach A History of Western Civilaztion.

Starting with the newest episode. Solid stuff. I know someone said you sound nothing like they expected, but having known a few people from NorCal, you sound right about where I thought you would.

But seriously. Solid stuff. I'll have to make some time to listen to the others.
