OK, I'll be honest - I'm surprisingly proud of this. I came close to quitting halfway through because it was a bit of a mess but I'm glad I persevered.
Firstly, I couldn't find the Night Of Champions logo in a high enough resolution. Fuck it, I think, I'll make my own. Out of Rockwell, a little bit of Futura Md (coincidentally my new favourite font) and some lines. That should't have worked, for starters. It's meant to look like a staircase to heaven type of dealey. Not sure if that comes across but it looks good enough, right?
The only major problem I can highlight is that it takes up a little too much of the poster. Can't win 'em all. Added a touch of drop shadow because, well, why not?
The original idea was to have Sheamus at the front and his opponents to the side of him. I quickly nipped that in the bud. I could only make it work if the poster was landscape - and I wasn't sure if that was allowed. So I broke out a cut of Sheamus I've been meaning to use for a while and slapped it on there. Some jiggery pokery later that's so rudimentary you'd laugh at me - including a trick I haven't use in a while; outer glow - and you've got your ol' Sheamus done.
Same goes for the belt, really. Then just wrote the date and my name on it.
Obviously, there are blurs and gradients and filters and shit, but why would anybody be interested in that?
The concept is that it would be used as a series of posters. You could replace Sheamus with Orton, Barrett, Cena etc. Alternatively, you could have all the champions standing in front of their respective belts.
