Nick Fury
The worlds top cop, Nick Fury is the man at the helm of the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate; S.H.I.E.L.D. Born an ordinary human in the early 20th century, Nick Fury was destined for much greater things.
After being the test subject for one of the United States many super-soldier serums, Nick Furys aging process was slowed considerably. This lack of aging has allowed him to ascend the ranks of various United States and World security agencies. Its also allowed him to establish many relationships with the super-hero community.
Nick Fury is also the first, and so far only 33rd Degree S.H.I.E.L.D. officer meaning he is fully aware of each and every secret, covert base dotted around the globe by S.H.I.E.L.D. This only helps to further enhance Furys strategic and military genius, and while at times his direction can be misguided, there can be no doubt that Nicholas Fury is a fine soldier.
With his trademark eye-patch, Fury is instantly recognisable to all forces, both good and bad, but is fully capable of looking after himself. Whether leading his Howling Commandos into battle against HYDRA, fighting off alien invaders or merely dealing with the messed up nature of his life, Nick Fury has seen it all and likely done it all.
Abilities:
Advanced Combat Skills: Whether its armed or otherwise, Nick Fury is an expert in it. From heavyweight boxing in the army to Taekwondo, Fury knows his way around man-to-man fighting with some help from Captain America along the way.
Extended Military Training: Nick Fury is a veteran of three wars in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, was an adviser on countless other campaigns, and is a trained paratrooper, ranger, demolitions expert, vehicle specialist and a Green Beret.
Vast Military Knowledge: An extended life has allowed Nick to be a keen observer and participant in numerous conflicts both super-human and otherwise. From man-waged wars like Vietnam to alien attacks like the Kree/Skrull war, Fury knows military campaigns like no other.
Master Strategist: With military knowledge that surpasses all others, Nick Fury is also fully capable of putting together every kind of task force, campaign or strategy you can think of for any given situation.

Infinity Formula: Receiving the Infinity Formula during World War II, Furys aging cycle was slowed to a near halt and he ages at a far slower rate than other normal human being.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Arsenal: With access to the biggest arsenal of weapons known to man, Fury can use any weapon mankind has conceived, and a fare-few out-of this-world armaments too. Fury also happens to have access to body-armour and hiding holes no one else (even those in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. before (and after)) know one else is aware of.
