Nex Week's Raw From London: Team Hell No & The Undertaker VS The Shield

It was announced following THN's match against the PTPs that Kane & Daniel Bryan will team up with The Undertaker to take on The Shield in a six man tag match on next week's Raw.

Personally, I think they should have been plugging this match every 10 minutes or so. The Undertaker hasn't wrestled a match on free television in years, so the fact that he's doing so next week should be treated like its an absolutely massive deal. Taker & Daniel Bryan on the same team will have the London crowd frothing at the mouth with excitement.

The match itself should be a good one all in all. Taker brings a level of star power to this match that none of the others have. It's also a means of having Taker be a relevant factor while ultimately being able to protect him. Word is that he feels really good following his match against CM Punk, which is obviously true or he wouldn't feel up to competing in this match. I don't expect Taker will merely just stand on the sidelines either. If he wasn't confident in his ability to carry his own weight in the match, I don't believe he'd have agreed to work it.

As for who wins, I'm leaning more towards THN & Taker. If Kane & Bryan are going to have a tag title feud, they'd have some huge momentum ahead of them if they were part of the team that handed The Shield their first loss. Not Cena, not Sheamus, not Orton; but them. At the same time, The Shield might just extend their legacy by scoring a win over a team that has Taker part of it, even if Taker himself doesn't take the fall.

It's time for The Shield to lose and they likely will next week if this match goes ahead. There's no shame in it, they'll be losing weekly in a few months or so anyway.

The Shield win, they lose to a big star (and Team Hell No) and then win the tag titles at Extreme Rules.

It's a great match for those attending in London. Very lucky. Almost like WWE are trying to placate British fans with a huge match after years of just Raw & Smackdown and no PPV.

I've got a sneaky suspicion that a PPV is just what we're going to get. They have got all the PPV's lined up, right until TLC in December. The PPV after that... THE ROYAL RUMBLE!!! Think about it, they've got all the royalty angles covered (various queen references etc) and they usually announce PPV cities about 7-8 months before they come back.

Doubt it will happen, but I've just got a sneaky feeling about it

This is insanely huge for Daniel Bryan. He's tagging with Taker in his first match on free TV in 2-3 years! When Daniel Bryan wins the WWE title one day the pop is going to be huge. He's been established as a key player on the roster the past couple years.

The Brothers of Destruction and the Sacrificial Goat vs The Shield! I am very curious to see where this is headed. As one of the previous posts stated, this will be huge for Daniel Bryan! Looking forward to seeing this played out.

On RAW, I almost thought the Shield was going to come out and go after Brock Lesner when Lesner came out to 3MB.

I am SO excited about this match and have extremely high expectations going into it. The Shield against Daniel Bryan, Kane, and The Undertaker. That sounds absolutely amazing on paper. Will it deliver when the actual match occurs? Only time will tell. I enjoy the work in the ring of all 6 wrestlers involved so the match can easily steal the show, and the best part is it's not on PPV but we will be getting it for free on Raw. It's another huge opportunity for The Shield to continue scoring impressive wins over teams of big names in the WWE. That is all the more reason to book them to win if you ask me.

I personally think that The Shield will pick up another win here. Why ruin their momentum when they have beaten teams containing guys like John Cena, Randy Orton, or Sheamus? The Undertaker is a legend among legends. Bring in Kane and you have the Brothers of Destruction. Daniel Bryan adds an interesting variable to the mix as well with his excellent work in the ring. This is an awesome team, perfect opponents for The Shield at this point. It's a PPV quality match quite honestly, so it is a true treat that we will be given it for free on Raw. Whether The Shield or Team Hell No with Undertaker emerge victorious, the true winners here will be the fans for getting to see such a great match. The Shield need the win more, so I've got them winning as my prediction. Either way, I cannot wait and am sure this will be rather enjoyable even if it does not meet my high expectations for the match.

I like how Team Hell No moves to the side and it's Brothers of Destruction w/ Daniel Bryan.

Brothers of Hell No Destruction Team?

Team Hell Bro?

Anyway, it's great.

I am super super excited for this match. Undertaker on free tv in what over 2 years at least? Plus Daniel Bryan getting to tag with the Undertaker is a huge huge vote of confidence. Not like DB arrived yrs ago but now getting this rub he is a huge factor in the WWE. I look for the Shield to pick up the win as they need this win more so,than Team Hell No and Undertaker do.

I also enjoy the work of both men as all six men are very capable of putting on some amazing matches. I dont look for the Shield to lose as it is not time yet. These three guys are such a force right now and have been for the past few months. It would utterly be pointless to have them lose now.

The Shield are going to wreck Undertaker in this match. I'm hoping for that powerbomb through the table. I can't wait.

It would be HUGE for The Shield if they got a pin over The Undertaker. Looking back, they really should have gotten the pin over John Cena instead of Ryback (who was already pinned by them before). The Shield are such a dominant force right now and shouldn't lose yet. I hope they go over Team Hell No in this match and again for the Tag Team Championship. Yes, Team Hell No are the only team around that are an actual team that pose any kind of team competition for The Shield, but the focal point is that The Shield are THE team and should continue to prove it. What better way than to beat Team Hell No? Hell, what better way than to be the ones to finally break apart Team Hell No?

2010 Bragging Rights PPV - Kane vs Undertaker - Buried Alive Match.

Nexus gets involved and helps Kane win and Undertaker is off TV until we start seeing the Promos (2-21-11) the following year at Royal Rumble.

Hopefully this is not a way to get Undertaker time off TV again by him getting "hurt" by The Shield.

Unfortunately, I see this match not happening at all.

Hell No come out & the lights go out. We expect Taker, but The Shield are in the ring, beating the two men down, they get rid of Bryan easy & work on Kane, hitting their finisher on him just as we hear *GONG*.

Out comes Taker, running to the ring, who gets instantly hit by Shield, eventually being hit with the finisher as well, leaving him to rest til Mania.

I'm with Thrash on this one. Why book this on an episode of RAW when you could book this at Extreme Rules and jack up PPV buys with Undertaker along with Lesnar & HHH on the card instead? The PPV is gonna need those 3 more than ever now that Rock & Punk are out. If the plan is to have this match on RAW, have Shield take out Undertaker for the rest of the year, then win the belts at Extreme Rules, they should do it in reverse order instead. Have Shield take out the Deadman before the match can get started, forcing Vickie to change the match on RAW to a normal tag match for the belts, Shield win the titles, then The Shield put out Taker for the rest of the year at Extreme Rules where it will be a lot more better and make more sense due to it's hardcore environment.

this.

We might have a match, but a painfully short one, before getting thrown out due to dq or interference (3MB??)

if wwe really wanted to throw a curve ball maybe try something like this:

during next weeks 6 man tag match, have the match go down to the wire only for all hell to break loose which leads to taker getting taken out until Mania season.

Have the shield win the straps from hell no at Extreme rules leading to a very good and serious program between them for a couple of PPV's culminating in some gimmick match at Summerslam, maybe a tables match or something.

Have the shield then run a survivor series 5 man elimination match with them and two others (Punk and Lesnar come to mind but that doesn't seem likely) against hell no, shaemus, orton (if still face) and another wronged face. Of course shield go over in this match thus giving them more momentum going forward.

Around rumble time have the shield declare that they will enter the royal rumble, but not as 3 entrants, but rather as 1 unit. (no more explanation given as this further increases the intrigue and idea of team > individual).

This leads to the shield winning the rumble and holding the spot hostage stating that they have no interest in going after the WWE or World title as they don't care for single belts and that the most important accolade is the tag straps as that signifies the unity within the shield. They can say that all they want is justice and to leave their legacy in the WWE. Thus, they, as a single unit are challenging none other than the undertaker to a match at mania.

Taker excepts of course and after the usual buildup, the match is then changed from shield vs Taker to Shield v Brothers of destruction as Kane offers his help to his brother in taking out an old enemy.

This leads to 3 on 2 tag match, ten years on from Rock/Foley v Evolution and WM XX and then, like now, the veterans bow out to the newcomers. The Shield, will, by this point be booked as invincible, as having never lost a match in the wwe and they will be seen as a legitimate threat to the streak. The Streak may end at XXX but at least they can work the angle that taker has never been beaten in singles action at mania and instead of having one star reap the rewards of ending the streak, you'll have 3 men who can all lay claim to pulling this off..

What a treat.

This is just the kind of rub that the Shield, and indeed Daniel Bryan also, will benefit greatly from. Naturally, I can see the Shield furthering their undefeated streak, probably getting the pin on either of Team Hell No. It wouldn't necessarily damage Taker's reputation to be on the losing side, but as a Taker fan I wouldn't want to see him pinned in what will probably be his final non-PPV match. Then again, if the Shield did pin the Deadman, their status would rocket skyward.

Interesting side note, the last person to pin the Undertaker was in fact Kane, in a Hell in a Cell match in 2010. The last person to pin Taker on TV was Jericho on a Smackdown earlier the same year. Taker's last TV match? Also from 2010, against his most recent opponent from Wrestlemania, CM Punk. (Kane, Y2J, and Punk vs. The Shield - I'd pay to see that).

Either way, I feel this match is a means to setting up a tag title match between Hell No and the Shield at Extreme Rules. I get why some people are saying this match should be on PPV, but Brock/HHH 3 is going to be on the Extreme Rules card, there ought to be plenty of buys regardless. Having Taker on a free TV show, in front of what will be a hot crowd no less, will certainly bring in lots of ratings, so it's possible that WWE have something else big planned for next week's Raw. Besides, I don't think WWE want to be responsible for the O2 Arena burning down by pulling this show from the card.

I'll weigh on in this one. I think we will get the match as advertised, that The Shield will pick up another win, and they will destroy The Undertaker in the post-match with the usual powerbomb spot on a table.

I have been reading that Undertaker is feeling pretty good after WrestleMania, so maybe he won't be out until next WrestleMania again. Possibly we can get a return from him at SummerSlam to face The Shield or Brock.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if the match didn't happen. You know, The Shield takes out Bryan, Kane, or maybe Taker before the match, and nothing happens. If it's Taker, then it'll be a handicap with Bryan and Kane. I dunno. It's just VERY odd and unusual WWE's not over hyping and promoting the hell out of Taker's in-ring return to free TV. I mean, they are the same people, who go out of their way to remind you about the WWE App, Sonic's shitty food, social media accomplishments, wrestling action figures/toys that actually wrestle each other, and Twitter updates. Very odd.

Either way, it'll be cool to see Taker in person on TV, and not some random video package instead. Match or no match, I'll just be happy to see Taker outside of Wrestlemania season.
