What you've said rings very true. They have enough WWE alumni to help get the TNA boys over, which should be prime goal #1 if you ask me for the next couple of years. They've had some of the WSX guys wrestle for them before and they didn't really do much with them (Jason Cross, Matt Sydal being two of them). Establishment of their youth should be the key priority in the next few years on a grand scale. However, with the disjointed TV outings as of late, they should worry about a two-hour slot first. As much as I'd hoped in the positive for The New Age Outlaws to pick up their stuff and bring their A-game to the table, they haven't been able to recapture the magic of their glory days. Angle is doing fine for me at the moment (I just hope to high heaven he doesn't go all HHH and hotdog the top spot). Christian is the only credible bona fide heel that can scoop heat without fail (as well as being the only top-tier mouthpiece) so I'm glad he's the top heel (although I think Joe or Angle could be substituted in that role if necessary).I have come straight to the end of the discussion, so I apologise if I repeat what anyone else has said.
My belief is that if TNA wish to be seen as a serious entity, they need to work with thier own TNA talent. While they do have some newer faces on their roster, they do look a lot like a WWE retirement home.
They need to give some of the guys from the independent circuits a run, as these guys could be the ones that actually put them on the map, by bringing a new face to the ever-aging wrestling industry atm.
I do agree with a previous statement, suggestiong they snap up some of the Wrestling Society X guys.
