New Metallica Song!

Getting Noticed By Management
So, another new Metallica song debuted a few hours ago. There's a stream on their website, though the quality of the stream isn't the best. It's titled "The Day That Never Comes".

Kinda reminds me of a mix of "One" and "Fade to Black". The vocals are a little weak but still enjoyable. The solo sections are pretty awesome, and the riffs throughout are great. Thoughts?

The song is pretty good, not their best work(I dont think anybody expected it to be) but it sounds good. The thing is doing really well already. It was just released to ITUNE's today and it's already at #6. This is a really good thing for Metallica and shows their still relevant. If the song can stay in the top 10 on ITUNE's and if the sales countinue to rise it could debut top 40 on the billboard chart which would be huge for metallica.

Just downloaded this song and now have it on my iPod, so far now I've heard two songs off th new album and, gotta say I am extremely excited for Death Magnetic, Sept. 12th can't come soon enough!!!, I am very pleased that Lars stopped playing the tin can drums he seemed to have fallen in love with on St. Anger, great song, can't wait to hear what the others sound like

"The Day That Never Comes" is fucking bad ass. Seriously, the song is really fucking good. Imagine "...And Justice For All" meets "Load/Re-Load". That's the feeling I get listening to it. It's Metallica's best song in 15 years, in my opinion.

Like Justin said, "Death Magnetic" will hit shelves September 12th, and I, for one, cannot wait.

Fucking awesome, that is all I can say, I have now heard three songs off this new album, Cyanide, The Day That Never Comes, & My Apocalypse, and after hearing these three songs all I got to say is that if there is no idiot on this planet that can bitch about Metallica sounding like shit on this album this is shaping up to be the best Metallica album since ...And Justice For All, and could very easily be better than that one even, BTW this song is available on iTunes also

Sept. 12th can't come soon enough!!!!!!:headbanger:

Pretty good. Still doesn't strike the same emotion in me that an old Metallica album might, but it's pretty good.

However, I already know that every Metallica fan is going to go apeshit over this album and say it's the best fucking thing ever made and then in about 6 monthes once all the hype has died down everyone will probably realize it's not exactly the five star classic they imagined. Because as much as people like to pretend they didn't, so many Metallica fans did the same thing with St. Anger.

The Day That Never Comes sounds like it came straight off of the Black Album. Very much feels like modern Metallica. Pretty good song though.

My Apocalypse on the other hand is pretty fuckin' great. Infact it's downright ass-kicking awesome. But is it really that different from a song like Frantic? Doesn't strike me like this is going to be the huge departure from St. Anger that they've made it sound like.

Yet another new Metallica song has been released, this time it's Cyanide, and like The Day That Never Comes, and My Apocalypse, this song is nothing short of fucking awesome

I don't care what anybody says every song I've heard so far has been nothing short of straight up badassery, and I've said it before with each song they've released, and I've got to say it again, can not wait for Sept. 12th!!, only 10 more days!!!!!:headbanger:

Love the song! Of course, I honestly never heard a Metallica song I didn't like. Although I will say that St. Anger was not their best work, so I'm truly excited about the new album. The new song is definately more along the lines of their mid '80's sound.

On a side note, the tour dates are up on the Metallica website for their corresponding tour. For those of you who have never seen them live- get your tickets (Justin, I'm jealous)!! I'm totally excited to hear the new stuff live.

Well....This is EASILY their best album since the Black Album. Not that its hard to do that. But I missed kirks solos, Lars NOT using slipknot type barrels to drum, and James has his passion back. And Robs bass is audible, A factor that Metallica has had issues doing since Cliff.

I say 9/10 rated to me.

So with the new album being released officially this Friday, Metallica has released three more new songs off the new album

Now I'm currently in the process of listening to them now (right now I'm on All Nightmare Long), so I can't really comment on them right now, but I've said this before, every song off this album I've heard so far sounds fucking amazing, it's different from there other stuff yet at the same time brings back some things that Metallica fans fell in love with the band for, can't wait till this weekend, new album and I get my tickets:headbanger:

I'm listening to DTNC right now, and I'm really digging it, maybe more so than All Nightmare Long. I have My Apocalypse and Cyanide downloaded and I'll be listening to those later on. Like I said in the other thread, this album is really getting me on the Metallica bandwagon, and WILL be the the first Metallica album I listen to in it's entirety.

Hope everyone has a happy September 12th :)
