New Batteries in the Big Red Machine?

Occasional Pre-Show
I was watching Superstars this week and I noticed that the commentator mentioned that Kane hasn't been pinned/submitted since his return. I think that's great! We all know that Kane for years has been running on Eveready since a short time after his de-masking.

The Big Red Machine may not be running on Lithium, but I'll give him Energizer Alkalines (rechargeable). Even though his matches have been ending in DQs, it's still nice to see that he's efficiently beat the hell out of The Gimp Khali and others. Wonder how long it'll last? Anyone else care to comment? Sorry for so many battery analogies...but hey.

Well there was a reason for him beating the hell out of Khali, Khali was injured and they needed to find away to write him off of TV.

As for the whole Kane thing, I think its just a coincidence. He's been back for 2-3 months? In that time, he really hasnt gotten any challenging opponents. I dont think it will last very long, eventually hes going to face people like Big Show and Jericho and Batista, and he will lose to them. Trust me, a few months from now we will see the Kane we saw before he returned, A boring, slow, mid-card jobber who enjoys putting over new superstars.

I'm sure they will probably make him job after Khali considering Kane was only fighting Khali for the most part. Although it would be nice to see Kane pick up some wins against main eventers, it will most likely not happen.

Don't expect this to end in a world title or anything Kane will remain what he has always been, a main event Jobber. And there is nothing wrong with that. The man is guaranteed a job for the rest of his career and will get main event title shots here and there. But from what I have heard he is happy with his position and maybe this 'undefeated streak' if that is what the WWE are calling it, is a way for them to reestablish his credibility.

They need this man to feud with the younger stars to give them that quasi main event rub that will push them into the upper midcard, then they can take the next step whilst Kane puts the next guy over.

I love Kane but this will not lead to anything more then what he has always been. The Go-to man for the upper midcard.

Just my Opinion

i agree with you guys, however i think its great that kane is not selfish like some other talents and is willing to put some younger guys over for the future of the company. The man really does deserve a title reign before he retires tho. and not an ecw one. does anyone remember if he has held any other world titles other than the ecw and the wwf title for 24 hrs. i know they cant put the mask back on him but i really think they need to have him go back to randomly coming out and destroying people like he did when he first appeared. even when he had his fued with shane it was better than what he is doing now. they should either turn him face again, change his attire and maybe give him a different mask? i guess it could be worse tho. they could have him jobbing to hornswoggle.

I agree. Kane is and always will be, the ME jobber. He's extremely unselfish for doing so, and I give him credit. I think he's earned a good title reign though, especially since he's always been with the company. Plus, if he did start randomly attacking people, that would make the shows more exciting. Hell, him running out and attacking The Miz?? The crowd would go nuts. Him coming out and destroying HHH??? The crowd would go nuts. Cena? Batista? Orton? ALL these main event guys, starting a feud with them, and MAYBE winning and having a good title reign.

Alot of you may not agree, but Kane IS exciting when he's allowed to be. He is a decent ring worker, and can be super-creepy, WHEN scripted right.

Kane can still bring something to the table. He just needs to feud with the younger guys and have a legit and meaningful feud with them. Give them the rub while rebuilding his credibility up. He deserves to be back in the main event scene, so plug him into the Undertaker/Punk feud and have him screw Undertaker over if Punk REALLY has to retain.

I agree that Kane is very unselfish in a business filled with egos. For that alone he deserves credit. I agree going back to his psycho gimmick would be a plus and having random run in attacks. I think he would be best utilized by the company by having one of the lesser titles. It would give him a chance bring some of the mid-card talent up to main event level and bring some credability to the titles.

wow speaking of timing actually. with the HIAC ppv looking weak. why not reintroduce kane the way he came in. have cm punk getting the upper hand on the undertaker, kanes pyro hits. he comes down and rips off the cage door, now where to go from there im not quite sure. kane and the undertaker have fueded many times already so i dont know if you would have him attack taker or attack punk costing him the title and then start a fued with punk and kane, straight edge vs psycho. i would go with the latter because it would free up taker to start a fued with his potential WM opponent. altho it may be a little early for that. but i think a kane/punk fued would do both good.

it's a shame they've just put batista in a feud with christina and slow, because with batistas new submission move and kane not submitting that would be a decent feud. they had a short feud back in the days of evolution. but one now could push kane into the main event scene for that WWE title shot he deserves. heck have him feud with taker for the title after hell in a cell, and then have kane end the streak! that would be something.

I agree, if anyone should end "THE" streak, it should be Taker's Brother.. I mean, with all due respect to both Glen Jacobs (Kane) and Mark Calloway (Taker), neither of them are young men any more, both in their 40s which is almost pensionable in wrestling terms, lol.

i can agree with that but i think they would have to build kane up to the monster he used to be. the one that it took 3 tombstones to beat. I think i actually read it on this site, not sure how true it is, is that the undertaker offered to let kane end his streak but kane declined out of respect for takers career. they really need to return him to the monster that hit vader in the face with the huge wrench. an idea that just came to mind would be to bring in the guy who managed Abysss, cant remember his name right now, but i think with that guy as a mouthpiece for kane it woudl be awesome.

The guy you are thinking of is James Mitchell. That wouldnt be a bad idea to bring him in and maybe get kane to wear the mask again as some way to control him. With Mitchell as his manager and maybe somehow bringing back Paul Bearer for Taker. That would be one hell of a send off for Takers streak

ya know its funny. if the wwe writers werent total morons they would scour these threads on different sites and use the ideas. but i guess the mcmahons and their henchmen writers know what the people want more than the people know what the people want

Kane is in an intriguing spot, as was stated before, and that's being the "Main Event jobber." I personally would rather see him repackaged with his mask, and going back to the more sadistic, evil, WINNING Kane. A temporary return of Paul Bearer could help get this done.

It might be hard to let him be "himself" in this PG era though. . . .

The Royal Rumble is boring these days, eh? I always thought that should have somebody completely random win it. Perfect opportunity to, ahem, recharge Kane's batteries.

Obviously, Kane is shit without the mask. It's common knowledge. So, erm, CM Punk murders Kane with an axe a week before the Rumble. There are, uh, twenty guys left in the Rumble when number thirty is due to come out. It's only Kane. He throws everyone out. Lol.

Two possible scenarios just came to mind, based on what I've read so far in this thread. Kane and the Undertaker start a new program, I know we've all seen it, but hear me out. Brothers of Destruction are back! They win the tag titles one night, hold them for a few weeks, and then lose them. This causes a rift in the brothers relationship, and it culminates in an inferno match! Kane gets burned again and loses, resulting in having to put the mask back on. Kane comes back one night, interferes in one of the 'takers matches and destroys the Undertaker, a-la Badd Blood '97. Leading up to a match at Wrestlmania XXVII where Kane ends the streak. Thoughts?

I still like Kane and I do feel sorry for him somewhat.

I think that he moves well for his size and he is good enough on the mike and in the ring that he sort of deserves more. Whether it be today or throughout his career, he definitely deserved a little bit more from what he has put in to the company. It seems as though he will always be the heel and will always just be there to make up the numbers, so to speak. Nevertheless, any lease of life for Kane is welcomed here and I think that sooner or later, he may have to realise that he has done all he can do for the WWE.

His biggest win was for the WWF Championship against Stone Cold and then lost it very next night. He deserves more than that for fucks sake. The man has been a loyal servent for over a decade now and really did deserve a bit more. However, it's not to be and do you know what I blame for it? Losing the mask. I know that he and Vince thought that it would be a good idea for him to lose him mask but it really wasn't. He worked much better masked and since he lost it, he just hasn't had the same appeal.
