We all have our complaints about the government. Too much is given for this group and not enough is given to another; the complaints go on and on.

Well, the White House has heard our cries and has given us an opportunity to speak our minds, and what better way to use that platform than to highlight the greatest man who ever lived: Macho Man Randy Savage.

The official website for the White House now features a petition section where anyone can create a topic he or she would like the Obama administration to consider. Recently, the petitions for building a Death Star or changing the national anthem to R. Kelly's "Ignition (Remix)" have become quite popular, but those don't really better humanity. A day remembering Macho Man Randy Savage, however, would impact generations to come.

If you aren't familiar with Randy Savage then I honestly pity you. He is an intricate part of American history and his legacy will live on forever. That is, if we can join together to bring this subject to light.

This petition would make May 20th, the day Savage tragically passed away, a nationally recognized day of remembrance. Here's exactly what the petition describes:

Macho Man Randy Savage was a national treasure loved by everyone who watched him on television or knew him personally. No matter if you knew him from Slim Jim commercials or his wrestling career, you felt a deep connection with Savage. Tragically, the world lost him on May 20, 2011. This petition is to set aside that day every year as a celebration and remembrance of the Macho Man's life and to keep his legacy alive for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.

If we can join together and simply get 100,000 signatures on this petition by April 4th, 2013 then the White House will review and offer an official statement on May 20th being the day of the legend, Macho Man Randy Savage.

Why tarnish Randy Savage's legacy by getting the government involved?

There's a calendar on every wrestling forum I've ever posted on. Admins across the web should add it. Get the writers, reporters and podcasters to spread the word. I doubt folks like Labar or John Canton or even Colt Cabana would be against giving it a mention. We should probably stop calling it the "Internet Wrestling Community," if we can't coordinate something so simple and worthwhile.
