My tattoo got me reconized

So I was out shopping and night, and while I was paying for the food, the girl at the cash said "Hey, your Jeremys brother, ain't you?", to which I replied "Yes, how did you know?" and she told me she reconized me by my tattoo. How she did that is beyond me, as my tattoo is on my back, and I was wearing a shirt. It was confusing nonetheless.
