I also own about 6 wrestling CD’s, about 20 complilation albums (rock, rap and indie) and many, many free cds from artists such as David Bowie, John Lennon Iggy Pop etc

And I am pretty sure I am missing loads of others, if I remember any I will add them to this thread....

Any comments you have would be great :)

Well honestly Natural you have a good varied selection. You've got stuff I've got and stuff I want/am going to get. Admitedlly you do have stuff that I'm not into (The Enemy etc) but it's still a really good collection.

I think your music collection looked really good. If your looking for recommedations on what to look listen too I have a couple. I saw you have a few Bon Jovi CD's. You should definately check out one of their more recent albums Bon Jovi: The Circle.

A couple groups I didn't see listed is the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith. I might have missed those and you might have a couple albums of theirs. But if you don't I definately recommend. Especially Red Hot Chili Peppers: Stadium Arcadium. This is the last album they came out with. And Aerosmith: Big Ones which has their some of their greatest hits on it. Aerosmith: Gold also has a wide variety of their songs which I think you would like.

However I thought your collection looked really good.

I do actually own Aerosmith "Big Ones"- it totally slipped my mind when I was making the list. I thought it was ok, I was hoping that the song Eminem used for "Sing For The Moment" would be on there, but it was not.

Ahh The Chili Peppers, another band I totally forgot. I have a couple of their albums- "Californication"- which is really good, and "Blood Sex Sugar Magik" which I was not as impressed by. My Mum has both the greatest hits and "Stadium Arcadium", so I will see if I can lend it off her and copy it onto my itunes and give it a listen.

Never heard anything from the Jovi album you suggested, other than the lead single but I tend to like most of their stuff so if I see the album reasonably priced somewhere I may pick it up. I still have a big HMV gift voucher that I haven't used yet so may use that for the Jovi album.

I will also be adding the CD from Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye this week, it is released on Monday and I will probably get it on release day but if not soon after.

Well, you can tell that you're from Manchester.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the Manchester music scene. I like The Stone Roses, love The Smiths (if you want to count Salford as Manchester) and New Order are pretty good too. However, I don't go for Oasis or Happy Mondays. Never really 'got them'. One thing that I do notice is a huge omission: Joy Division. Such a great band. Ian Curtis's voice was something to behold.

I personally don't listen to hard rock or metal, so I'm just going to seamlessly skip over that and look at my personal favourites in your list. The aforementioned Morissey and Stone Roses, Blur (always the winner of the Britpop battle for me), Pulp, The Clash, Nirvana and Rage Against The Machine are all notable for me. Of course, Robbie Williams, too. Who hasn't got a soft spot for Robbie?

If you decide to get the Jovi CD you definately let me know how you like it. I think it's possibly their best album(IMO). And I have wide range of their cd's from their old school stuff to their more recent music.

If your still interested in Aerosmith their albums Ultimate Hits/Collections CD Dream On. They have some of the same songs as Big One's does such as Living on the Edge, Love in an Elevator, and Walk on Water, but also includes Dream On, both versions of Walk this Way (Original by Aerosmtih, and cover by Run DMC), Jaded, and I Don't Want To Miss A Thing. However if it's just the song you want I'm sure ITunes or Rhapsody has Dream On for a good price too.

I've been thinking about listening to Bob Marley, Alter Bridge, and Kid Rock too. I'm interested in Kid Rock's Rock in Roll Jesus'. I haven't been a huge fan of Kid Rock but enjoyed All Summer Long from this album. I from what I understand it's more Rock influenced. Maybe if you could give me some suggestions too on what to get.

That Kid Rock album "Rock 'n' Roll Jesus is not really rock, it is alot more country music based. The only other rock song on the album is "So Hott" which is a fantastic track. I would listen to "Devil Without A Cause" as a starting point for Kid Rock, but that is definitely rap-rock.

Alter Bridge would be a great choice. The music is heavier than Creed, but Myles Kennedy has a much wider vocal range than Scott Stapp. He recently sang for Slash on Slash's tour and was really good singing the old Guns songs. They are definitely a band worth checking out, I would recommend "Blackbird" as the album to get, plus it shouldnt be particularly expensive.

Other bands I think you should try out are Alice In Chains (start with the greatest hits), Motley Crue and Pearl Jam.

I have found I have missed out yet more CD's from my list:

The Game-The Documentary
The Game- Doctor's Advocate
The Game- L.A.X
Nate Dogg- The Very Best Of
The Notorious BIG- Greatest Hits
Nelly- Nellyville
Nelly- Sweat

However, I don't go for Oasis or Happy Mondays. Never really 'got them'. One thing that I do notice is a huge omission: Joy Division. Such a great band. Ian Curtis's voice was something to behold.

I must have missed out the one Joy Division CD I own, its the greatest hits (the one with the green logo on the black background). However, while I absolutely LOVE "Transmission" and "Love Will Tear Us Apart", and am a big New Order fan (which is Joy Division without Ian Curtis), I just cannot get into Joy Division, I cannot see what the fuss is about other than those 2 wonderful songs.

Can you suggest a few of your favourites, I would like to be into JD being from Manchester, but what I have heard I just do not rate them.

Of course, Robbie Williams, too. Who hasn't got a soft spot for Robbie?

Haha absolutely, the best English pop star of the last 15 years. Williams is an amazing performer and has put out many classic tracks.

I have also found another couple of CD's that I did not put on my list:

Hard-Fi- Stars of CCTV
System Of A Down- Toxicity

Natural, you definetely have a great collection!

I am a little disappointed (not really) that I didn't see any Weezer on the list. You really should own there Blue Album. If you are unwilling to buy it I will have to ship it to you.

I also thought that it was weird that you didn't have Green Day's "Dookie" album...get it for sure.

I know you are a huge Oasis fan. You have inspired me to begin downloading and listening to them.

I didn't see Westside Connestions "Bow Down." Seeing your rap collection I am sure you would enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing your list. :)

Meh, never really seen the appeal of Weezer. I have a couple of their singles (Hash Pipe and Pork & Beans) on the ipod, but never really wanted any more of their stuff.

I also thought that it was weird that you didn't have Green Day's "Dookie" album...get it for sure.

Yeah, I have always fancied that one. I like Green Day from that era. I think I will probably end up getting it, its pretty cheap on Amazon.

I know you are a huge Oasis fan. You have inspired me to begin downloading and listening to them.

Good man, get the early stuff first (anything off Definitely Maybe or Morning Glory first- then get Be Here Now. Their early B-Sides are better than most of their later A-sides! "Shout It Out Loud", "(I Got) The Fever" and "The Fame" are unknowns and absolutely awesome.

I didn't see Westside Connestions "Bow Down." Seeing your rap collection I am sure you would enjoy it.

I have "Bow Down" the song on my ipod, never listened to the album. I will check it out.

That's a sick collection:worship:

The Killers really made a name of themselves with Hot Fuss and Sam's Town I also own those CD's in my collection, and I really enjoy listening to them.

Blink 182, one of my favorite bands of all time enema of the state and Take Your Pants off and Jacket are probabaly their two best albums yet.

The Chilli Peppers Stadium Arcadium, by far one of my favorite albums, they really had some great stuff on the CD, seeing them live must be cool if anyone has ever done that.

2pac, Dr. Dre, and Eminem have had great hits, Dre's 2001 was one of my favorite rap albums of all time, Eminem's Recovery was really good especially following that junk he called Relapse, and I loved all of 2pac's work.

Jimmy Eat World I as well as my ad really like, I remember a little while ago we would always listen to them, Rolling and Break Stuff by limp bizkit are 2 of my all-time favorite songs, Metallica is self-explanatory, and Kid Rock's work was on and off, but i'll still listen to him.

I see you have a lot of Oasis and Godsmack, I never really listened to them, but since there's so much in this great list, i'll have to look them up.

Overall, great list I could definatly go on and on about a lot of artists on this, you sir definatly have a great taste in music.:band:

Good man. Try the "Definitely Maybe" and "(What's The Story?) Morning Glory" albums for Oasis, or the "Stop The Clocks" greatest hits or "Time Flies: The Singles") compilation albums for an overview of their work. The singles they put out were incredible.

Godsmack? Tough choice. I think Godsmack IV is their best album, but my 2 favourite tracks "Re-Align" and "Keep Away" are not on there! They have done a greatest hits though, which I haven't got. Those 2 are definitely on there. They are a band you should certainly try out.

Thanks for the kind words. As I have such a varied taste in music most people can either praise or criticise my collection as there is some they will like, but most they will not. Also, makes a change from my girlfriend saying how shit my tastes are...she prefers Tinie Tempah, Bruno Mars, Black Eyed Peas, and other R'n'B crap

Nice collection man, you do like alot of the same stuff as I do!

Great to see alot of AIC, Metallica and Soundgarden on there as well as an Oasis, Guano Apes and Stone Roses album :)

I recommend you pick up "Purple" from Stone Temple Pilots, "Rearview Mirror" from Pearl Jam (Their greatest hits), both Slash's Snakepit albums and Mad Seasons self titled album (Layne Staleys side-project)

As well as "Definitely Maybe" by Oasis, any of Ian Brown (Stone Roses) solo material, and The Very Best Of The Stone Roses- which is fucking awesome

:)

Oops, the Mad Season album is not self-titled it is called "Above"

I picked up Liam Gallaghers new band Bead Eye's first album the other day. Really good, Beatles influenced sound. It is growing on me more and more with every listen. Very impressive

Another winner here.

Well I'll just start off by saying that the last CD I bought was Chinese Democracy.
I know people hated it, but something about There Was A Time and the title track got to me. The rest was meh!

Well natural I was actually thinking of picking up Second Coming by The Stone Roses (their second album) I was thinking of getting Purple by Stone Temple Pilots because I'd heard that and Core are their best albums. Slash's Snakepit are two I want to get (especially It's 5 oClock Somewhere)

Also I do have Mad Season's album, Wake Up I'm Above, River Of Decit and Artifical Red being my favourites.

There was a time is great but what about Better, Street Of Dreams and This I Love, all great tracks. I will admit the time it took to release it and what we got was eh but its still a great record.

Yeah, Core and Purple are their best I think, Core being better (it has my 3 favourite STP songs on it). Purple is definitely worth getting though.

As for the Roses...Second Coming is good, but the only track that is really worth having on there that is not on the Very Best Of is "Driving South" which is awesome. The rest are all on the compilation CD, which is absolutely phenomenal. Plus the compilation also has "One Love" and "Elephant Stone" which were non-album singles.

I would certainly consider buying Ian Browns solo greatest hits- "The Greatest"- absolutely classic album

Also I do have Mad Season's album, Wake Up I'm Above, River Of Decit and Artifical Red being my favourites.

Yep, just double checked your list and I must have missed it. Great work bro, its a very good album.

"There Was A Time" was by far the best on the album, the title track was good and I also liked "Better", "IRS", "Shacklers Revenge" (it was a grower) and "Sorry". It was nothing compared to Appetite or Use Your Illusion 1 but was still worth buying I think. I think if it hadn't been Axl Rose, the album would have got better views. With the amount of time he took to make it, the album needed to be a masterpiece to appease the critics and unfortunately it was not.
