Theme - Monster -My album isn't much but I plan on coming back with another theme so hang in there.
Monster - by Kanye West feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver
This is from my Kanye West fan thread. The beat doesn't inspire dancing as much as it does uncontrollable head-nodding. The song seems to be about how Superstars are treated like monsters. The fans feed off of them for entertainment and whatnot. The 'superstars' become the literal for entertainment and developing appetites for the adortion they are showered with on a daily basis. That's basically what the song is about.
Monster - by Skillet
This song hit hard in 2009 with their fellow song Hero. Although not as good, Monster is still a very head shaking song. This song was featured on a WWE PPV as well as on a Smackdown vs. RAW video game.
Hit 'Em High (The Monstars' Anthem) - By B-Real, Busta Rhymes, Coolio, LL Cool J, and Method Man
This shit goes hard no doubt. With huge rap artists like Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Coolio, LL Cool J and B-Real (aka, the lead singer from Cypress Hill). The song hit hard in the '90s. As a young kid, I didn't know a lot about rap. I just kinda listened to whatever I could get my hands on, and the soundtrack from Space Jam, was my main source of music. Every night I would pop the cassette tape in and listen to this song. Hit 'Em High definitely takes me back and reminds me of a simpler time. Now, I listen to the song and realize how big it truly was. When huge rappers like the 5 on this track colloberate, sparks fly. An all around awesome song.
Monster - Automatic
Most of the lyrics used in Monster are metaphors for drug and drink intoxication; "brain fried tonight through misuse" and "without these pills you're let loose", with the chorus 'monster' lyric being a metaphor for the[ 6 monster that comes out when people are intoxicated. A song which takes me back or so it feels.
Pussy Monster - Lil Wayne
Funny how little I care about Lil Wayne but this song is pretty decent. I won't go into deatils about the meaning or lyrics of the song but not bad.
Beautiful Monster - Ne-Yo
An all around great combination of vocals and an upbeat tempo in this song. Definietly not one of my favorite Ne-Yo songs but a good listen. The song is basically talking about the mind-state of the man in the story whenever he comes into contact with his love interest.
Monster - Disturbed
Huge fan of Disturbed and cannot pass it up for my theme album.
Monster - Michael Jackson feat 50 Cent
As soon as the word monster popped into my head, I immediately wanted to throw down Thriller. But this song is the best I could do. This song was released after his death. This song is very angry and strong in its rhythm, music and message. While listening to it I was thinking that Michael is doing the impossible even after his death he is not only fighting for his good name, but for a chance for us all to live in a cleaner, healthier and sane world than we are in now. The song seemed sad, angry and encouraging all at once and gave a strong feeling of amazement and disbelief.
