Most Memorable/Favourite Triple H moments

We all knew he was going to retire within the next year or so but I'm sure we didn't expect it this early, with the news of him facing Taker at WM in a streak vs career match I'm inclined to believe we will be bidding farewell to the in ring career of Triple H so with that said, lets go through our favourite/most memorable moments..

Mine would have to be when he returned to Raw after his first quad tear and cut a promo in the ring, ill never forget the first line.. "JUST INCASE YOU DON'T REMEMBER WHO IN THE HELL I AM" and I can partially remember a bunch of big names coming out one by one and Trips cleaned house, it was the Raw before the Royal Rumble and I believe Big Show and Austin etc came out and Raw ended with a big brawl but Triple H standing tall after all of it

and then of course.. when he won the Rumble and then went onto WMx8 to beat Jericho for the undisputed championship

share?

Actually when he Returned he just got into it with Kurt Angle. It was on Smackdown later that week when he got into the brawl with Austin,Angle,Big Show, and Kane.

However yes the night he Returned on RAW from his 1st quad tear is my #1 HHH Moment in his Career. I also liked his Return from the 2nd quad tear at Summerslam 2007 and taking on King Booker T as well.

I don't think he will Retire just yet and Im pretty sure he will pick up his Feud with Sheamus going into Wrestlemania.

Mine would have to be the day after one of the greatest PPVs ever, Wrestlemania 17. Triple H was fresh off from 1 of the best fueds of 2000/01 against Austin and when he interfered in the Steel Cage match, we never expected him to ally himself with Austin and BAAMM! The full force of the sledgehammer right onto the Rock's Skull and then the formation of The Two Man Power Trip began. It might not be the most memorable one, but it was certainly a great moment.

When I think of HHH, three moments will always pop up into my mind.

1: His return after his first quad tear. One of the loudest, sustained pops I have ever heard in my life. You always hear about how "the roof just blew off the building", well I think this is one case where it actually happened.

2: Raw, the night after Wrestlemania 14, which I like to think of as the night when HHH became a superstar. His promo where he talked about how HBK dropped the ball, and that he was going to pick it up and run with it was great stuff.

3: Interrupting Stephanie's wedding with the Vegas video, and his "marriage" to her. Absolutely hilarious, and a legit shocker. I still wonder how the drive thru wedding girl couldn't tell it was him talking! :p

Honorable Mention: The Invasion of WCW Nitro with the rest of DX. I will always, always laugh at that whole skit/angle/promo, whatever you wanna call it.

WOW this one is hard for me because HHH had many great moments in the ring and on the mic.
In the ring:
1. His return from the quad tear, he was a heel when he got injured and came back to one of the loudest pops ever maybe second to rock vs hogan.
2. When he lost the title to Hogan on Smackdown, He was a bloody mess and after the match he hug hogan that was classic. Again 2nd to hogan vs rock.
3. His battles with Mick Foley were also great especially the Raw when he hit Foley in the knee with the sledgehammer and put him out by mistake that was good drama mix with reality.
Now his mic moments:
1. The whole Stephanie wedding gimmick.
2. When Dx impersonated the Nation
3. HHH and HBK impersonating Shane and Vince

I have a few favorites moments.

1, Is actually a match more then a moment, with Mankind at the Canadian Stampede In Your House show in July 1997, the brawl backstage moments more so, HHH hadn't been shown in that light before that he could street fight and he took it to Foley which ultimately lead to their Summer Slam cage match (and street fight with Cactus Jack at MSG in August 97).

2, His heel turn at WrestleMania XV, it wasn't surprising or shocking in hindsight but watching it live and turning his back on his friend was pretty surreal.

3, His first WWF Championship win, RAW following Summer Slam 99' shocking as this SHOULD and COULD of happened if Austin would of dropped the belt at the PPV to HHH rather then Foley, but HHH's method to getting the title shot served it's purpose and the emotion on his face when he won the belt for the first time was PRICELESS, You could see how much it meant to him.

4, When Jeff Hardy pinned him to win the IC title in April 2001, not that it was shocking but the fact he took a new superstar who was primarily a tag team wrestler and put him over.

5, His MSG return in 2002 if you've never watched it, get a hold of it on YOUTUBE, absolutely quality.

6, Not so much a moment, but his WWF desire video from 2001-2002, with U2 - beautiful day playing, it was more of a hype for his return to MSG but I urge you to watch it, you get the sense he generally loves the business more then most of the wrestlers do.

7, Probably should be closer to number one, however a collection of his enterance walks, Summer Slam 99, WrestleMania X7, X8 and 21 and also his Survivor Series 2000, I'll give HHH that he uses his psychology beautifully when it comes to his entrance walks perfectly. (Minus WrestleMania 22 HA!)

My all time favorite HHH moment was right before Unforgiven in (I think) 2008. It was when they were doing the championship scramble for the first time and HHH came out to cut a promo. After awhile Kendrick came out and interrupted him and HHH made fun of him on the microphone, then MVP came out but ended up arguing with Kendrick instead of HHH.
HHH was in the ring and started laughing then said something along the lines of "hey, you guys! im the champion, you are supposed to be arguing with my not each other. oh my god i am going to be champion for like 10 more years"
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time

when he won wrestlemania 2000. he was on his way up, but winning wrestlemania over the rock, foley, and big show established hhh over any one else as top heel. his work as a face is not always great, but he is definately one of the best heels of all time.

There are a couple of HHH moments for me, I cant really pick just one.

#1- dont remember the year, but, he won the IC title in a Ladder match at Summerslam against The Rock. Very early in the match, he hurt his knee, and he continued in the match, which ended up taking just short of a half hour. Now, he did have to vacate the title due to this knee injury, but, still, that was something else.

#2- the Royal Rumble he won, when he entered and the only person in the ring was Stone Cold. Just the way the two of them was just staring at each other, you could just feel like the match was about to take off, and that it did.

#3- is another injury he suffered in a match, the match where he teamed with Austin to take on the team of Chris Jericho, and Chris Benoit. The man tore his quad , and CONTINUED in the match, even taking the Walls of Jericho. I mean, call this stupidity, or call it guts, but, after this, I had so much respect for the man. I didn't always like him, but, after this match, and damn near everything he did in DX with HBK, nothing but respect for him.

If Wrestlemania is going to be it(hope not), he will be going out on top, even if he loses to the Undertaker. He has nothing left to prove, he has earned the right to go out when/where/how he wants.

God, triple h has made so many moments, and had soo many fueds it is hard to pick my favorite, but i think i can come down to three.

1.Shawn Micheals vs Triple H, this whole rivalry was full of great moments, every time they stepped in the ring against each other, becuse you knew they knew how to run that ring with one another, and none of their matches ever let the fans down

2. Mick Foley vs Triple H in the RR hardcore match, just becuse the cerebral assassin stepped in the ring with the hardcore god, and made one of the best hardcore matches ive seen.

3. Triple H vs Batista, Evelotiun was an beautiful idea made by the game and rick, and made many great moments that we hadnt seen since the old DX days, and made Batista. This was the one moment that proved that just going toe to toe with the Game can make someone.

Also, just on a another thought, does anyone have any GREAT moments of when he was a face, not shawn and him, but him by himself?

My HHH Moment would be from 2003-2004 Why? well for one Triple H works better as a heel and his promo's during this time was awesome his feuds with Shawn Michaels and various former WCW Wrestlers like Booker T, Kevin Nash, Goldberg and Scott Steiner was great.

Forming Evolution which pathed the way for way for Batista and Randy Orton to get over so for me when i remember HHH ill think of 2003 and 2004 but mainly as a Heel that can be from 1999 till 2006 if you like

My favorite HHH moment, was when he was powerbombed through the announce table by Kevin Nash. It wasn't because i wanted him to get hurt, it was because it took guts to take that bump from a crazed Nash and he sold it really well. The reaction from JR and HBK was classic.

Triple h vs. the rock Ladder match for the intercontinental championship SummerSlam cant remember the year

this match is the one that showed me that HHH was gonna be a huge superstar! everything was great about that match and its one of my favorite ladder matches of alll time! back then i wanted the rock to win and when he lost i started to look at Hunter as a future main eventer! great macth great rivalry and great all toghter

I was never a big hhh fan - I always resented the backstage power trips, the constant winning, and the hypocrisy of finding ways to avoid putting anyone over. Rvd, jericho, booker, benoit, etc. Give him credit for batista, but that's about it.

That being said, my fave hhh moment is a little different - right before the jericho program in 2000, he defended the title against taka michinoku. Apa joined taka. Great match, before all his injuries, and hhh sold and put him over in a way that had everyone actually buying a possible title change. I couldn't believe it then, and I still can't. Great moment.

Plus, it's been said, but I was in staples the night he broke up stephanie's wedding, and I have to include that too. My guilty pleasure.

There is no need for sarcasm mate and by the way if you kept up with the news.. there has been an article released stating that it will be Taker vs Triple H at mania in a streak vs career match so uh.. yeah, clearly he won't be picking up his feud with Sheamus and clearly he will be retiring after wrestlemania if this article is true and correct.

I also forgot to mention,

Anything Triple H did in DX with Shawn Micheals or X-Pac & the Outlaws is great stuff.

His Matches with Mick Foley including the Royal Rumble & No Way Out 2000 Matches

His Feud with Batista going into Wrestlemania 21 and then after

The Feuds with HBK & Ric Flair

Some of his Entrances at WM 17,18,and 22

Anything with The Rock that he did, they had some awesome Matches

Winning the Royal Rumble in 2002

Just to name a few,I think Triple H will go down as one of the Best in the Business ever IMO.

Most favorite: Batista beating HHH or the World Heavyweight Title at WM.

Most memorable: Yeah, I can't shake the fact that every time I think of HHH one thing comes to mind - Katie Vick.

I'm pretty sure you just posted a spoiler...but oh well.

Triple H has had so many great moments and matches, but the one that sticks out most to me actually wasn't televised. I was at a house show in Flint (Michigan), and after Triple H had just kicked some ass in the main event and was walking up the ramp, he went up the the crowd and gave a bunch of screaming fans (including me) a high five. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but when I think of Triple H, that jumps to mind first.

Favourite Triple H moments :scratchchin:

I thoroughly enjoyed the year and a half saga of the McMahon-Helmsley Era. His feuds with Mick Foley and The Rock over the title were always entertaining. Even though you knew Triple H would use every possible avenue available to him to retain the title, the chase of the challenger and the hope that he would lose always kept you interested.

I think his street fight at the Royal Rumble (2000) with Cactus Jack was one of my most memorable matches. I've said before, the build up to it was classic. Having beaten and destroyed Mankind into oblivion, the promo Mick Foley gave to signify his transition from character to character was quality, and the facial expression of Triple H was one of my memorable moments. It clearly said, "What the f*** have I unleashed?" and was up there with Vince McMahon's classic facial expressions.

Also the feud with the returning Steve Austin, culminating in their classic 2 out of 3 falls bout (another of my memorable Triple H matches). When Triple H told Austin "DTA, Austin. Don't trust anybody." I didn't see it coming - did you? Soldified his persona as the cerebral assassin in my eyes.

Oh, then there was the DX tease with HBK - again setting his persona in stone as a cold, calculating, sadistic being. It showed he was willing to do anything to be the top guy and hold onto the gold, even sacrificing his relationship with his long time best friend. Their 'unsactioned' fight at Summerslam is another of my memorable Triple H matches; its probably better known for being the in ring return of HBK, but Triple H certainly played his part.

His return after injury has already been discussed to death. But its up there for me too. What a pop. Up there with Austin's return at Backlash 2000.

A couple of things come to mind.

One isn't the best thing to be remembered for. I remember him getting thrown into that pig slop at the December 1995 In Your House. Just remember thinking that it'd be horrible.

Also, his Ladder Match with The Rock at Summerslam 2008. Really good match.

Also, his match with Stone Cold, the epic two out of three falls encounter. Brilliant match.

His earlier DX stuff also shoots to mind.

My favourite is probably the "off the cuff" title match he had with Jericho in Spring 2000 when Hebner counted fast and it looked like Jericho had actually won the title.

The crowd absolutely exploded and it was a real "what the fuck just happened!?" moment for me.

It's that kind of unpredictability that I miss in WWE these days.

HHH teaching Trish the hammer lock backstage and Stephanie going bananas when she walked in on them in a compromising position.

HHH, Angle and Foley's segment where HHH was mocking Angle by suggesting that he is gay and then Foley joined in the mocking when he was the commish.

His return to Raw in 2002. The pop was amazing.

His pedigree to HBK after teasing a DX reunion when HBK returned to wrestling on Raw.

I have a few favorite moments as well.
1. The return at Madison Square Garden-He delivered one of my favorite promos.
2. The Game Promo- Much like Austins 3:16 promo it helped brand his character .
3. The Contract Signing for the two out of three falls match at no way out
He totally dominated Austin out of nowhere after Austin singed the contract that stated he could not lay a hand on trips until No Way Out.
4. Dx Reuniting- Some of the funniest moments in wrestling I've ever seen.
5. His unsanctioned match with Shawn Michaels at Summerslam.
