Monday Night Raw in The Superdome?

WWE have begun selling travel packages for Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans.

On the Wrestlemania packages site, it says that your tickets for Mania and the following night's RAW are both in 'The 100 Level' (https://secure.wwe.com/wm30/).

Now back in April, it was rumoured that WWE were planning on hosting Monday Night Raw in The New Orleans Superdome (http://www.wrestlingrumors.net/wwe-considering-superdome-for-post-mania-raw/3870/).

Does this mean they are still running with the whole idea of holding RAW in The Superdome? If so, how do you think it would go down? Is it neccesary? Will it be a success and set a precedent for post Mania Raw's in the future?

I think that since last year's post-WM Raw was such a fun and memorable event, WWE is going to capitalize on the fact that most people that went to Wrestlemania will also go to Raw the next night. With that said, I think that future post-Mania Raws will be held at the same venue that Wrestlemania was held.

EDIT: I would also like to add that the WWE could profit like CRAZY if they had back to back 50,000+ fan events.

WWE could do it if they want to, and given the crowd they had at this year's post-WM Raw, I think it would make for a good show.

I live not too far from NOLA, and I think it's great that they'll hold RAW there the night after to capitalize on WM momentum. While it would be awesome to have RAW in the Dome, not sure they could truly sell it out. The Dome seats just over 72,000. The New Orleans Arena is a very good venue for RAW and HOF (seen many concerts there) and it's literally right next door to the Dome. Axxess is down on the riverfront at the Morial Convention Center, not far from the French Quarter, Harrah's Casino, Aquarium of the Americas, etc.

The packages are pretty decent, if you go that route. The $50 card to Pat O's is a nice touch for those coming from out of the area, too. From what I see, VIP and Platinum sold out on the first day. The Gold and Silver packages are pretty nice.

Since I'm not far away, I may just wait a few months and get individual tickets for the events.
