Yeah, it is funny how it's always the most menacing in the ring that are always the kindest out of the ring. Cyborg is a great fighter, but there is no amount of airbrushing in the world that is going to make her even remotely attractive. Some kid is going to get his hands on Dad's Playboy (like we all have when we were younger... although things may have changed with the Internet. But I digress), see her pictorial (quite possibly the first time ever seeing a woman naked), and have his view on sexuality warped.
But if Playboy really is desperate to have a woman associated with MMA, then they got two candidates out there who are going to need money now. This is depressing, especially when they're bringing in basically another version of Edith (horseface), but only black this time. Logan and Natasha were hot

.
MMAMADNESS.com has learned that both Natasha Wicks and Logan Stanton have been cut from the UFC as ring girls. Stanton’s contract expired after UFC 107 and the UFC chose not to renew it. Wicks was cut before the expiration of her contract. Ring girl Arianny Celeste will remain on with the organization; as her contract has been recently renegotiated- explaining her absence from UFC 107.
According to sources, there will be only two ring girls from this point forward. Though it has not been officially announced, our insiders are being told Chandella Powell, a former playmate, will be the newest ring girl. [Ed. note: We can't find many good pics of Ms. Powell, but apparently she's second from the left in this photo.] It has yet to be released when Ms. Powell will start her official ring girl duties, though UFC 108 would be the obvious choice.
Also, Lorenzo Fertitta testified today regarding illegal streaming of UFC events over the Internet. According to him, and I'm sure the number is even bigger... 140,000 people illegally viewed UFC 106 last month.

UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta testified Wednesday at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on piracy of live sports broadcasting over the Internet, and he said the UFC is potentially losing tens of millions of dollars because people are illegally streaming UFC pay-per-views online.
"Just last month, the broadcast of UFC 106 from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, had over 271 unauthorized streams with over 140,000 views, and those are only the ones that our anti-piracy team and consultants identified," Fertitta told the committee. "There were likely more streams that we simply couldn't find."
If the UFC offered a low-res stream on their website, where for $15, you'd be able to watch online, it would be an option a lot of people would probably pay for. It's not ideal, but a lot of people would pay up for it, and at least they'd coup some of that money that they wouldn't get otherwise. $50 for a card that isn't strong isn't going to be a priority for many people, especially in this economy. I'm not saying streaming is justified, but the UFC offers a popular product and this is going to happen. As Joe says whenever Goldie gives the FBI warning, "You can't fight the internet". But $15 for a low-res stream? I'd pay every month for it.
Also, the UFC 108 card is quite possibly, the most cursed card in UFC history. It's rumored that Thiago Silva has an ankle injury and the UFC is giving him a bonus to fight with it. Fighters are getting replaced, and replacements are getting replacements. Sean Sherk, who was filling in for Tyson Griffin against Jim Miller, is off the 108 card.
Former lightweight champion Sean Sherk has suffered an injury and will not fight on the Jan. 2 UFC 108 card, The Times learned Thursday from sources close to Sherk's camp.
Sherk reportedly was scheduled to fight Jim Miller, though the bout had not yet officially been announced by the organization.
Ironically, Sherk was replacing Tyson Griffin, who just last week was forced off the card with an injury of his own.
