MMA in the Bar room!! *In memorium of JMT and TDigs' thread*

And no one was surprised.

She used a diuretic called spironolactone.

It seems all she had to do was apply to use the substance and she could have been able to use the stuff. What a fucking idiot.

Apparently it effects weight cutting and your piss. Ya know, the two things Cyborg would need.

Cain got pulled from 207 but was training yesterday. Everybody confused.

Saw this online earlier, made me laugh. The only replacement we will accept.

Edit: Werdum may have turned down JDS or JDS knows of 2 fighters who were able to be replacements and Werdum said no to both. Either way, Werdum turned down the replacement.

I think it's fair to turn down the replacement no matter who it is. Every fight can define your career. No need risk going in unprepared and possibly ruining your career (although the chances of one fight doing that are very slim).

Any chance of a Nunes win?

That would be like Nate Diaz defeating McGregor.

Not even close to Diaz/McGregor.

Nunes is the WORLD CHAMPION who has hands of solid rock with the ability to fight on the ground. This isn't some underdog fighting Ronda, it's the champion of the world. Diaz was a fighter who was loved by the MMA community along with his brother but wasn't an elite level guy. He got off a boat, drinking and partying, and beat perhaps one of the greatest fighters of all time on 11 days notice. Diaz shocked the world.

Nunes in her division is at a higher level than Nate and her opponent has spent a year on the sideline. Rousey has shunned the MMA media, which I think is a sign of mental weakness, and spent a year in hiding after one loss. She's nowhere near as feared. Nunes has the hands to take her out and can go with her on the ground. Rousey has the worst coach in MMA. Her striking has been exposed as piss poor and her coach is the worst in MMA. Did I mention her coach is the worst in MMA?

Nunes by first round knockout.

My intention was not to compare Diaz with Nunes. Rather, it was that just like McGregor, Rousey has received quite a big hype albeit for her return fight. And if Nunes defeats her, it's gonna kill all the left hype around Rousey just like Diaz damaged the hype of McGregor being undefeated.

McGregor became a bigger star following that loss. His hype was hardly damaged and McGregor wasn't undefeated.

Even as a outsider to MMA I can confirm this. Macgregor had no presence in the UK until recently. He now is a genuine known quantity.

Johny Hendricks missed weight yet again.

His downfall since USADA and their drug testing became a major player in the UFC continues.

Dillashaw is a wonder to see. Bantamweight might be the most entertaining division at the moment.

Providing Cruz wins, I'd be really hyped for a rematch.
