MMA in the Bar room!! *In memorium of JMT and TDigs' thread*

I had a bad feeling this wasn't going to go well for Penn & he was just gonna get murked by Yair, & he got murked, it was both sad & hilarious at the same time.

Woodley went on ESPN and claimed that because he's black he is treated badly as a champion. Are you fucking kidding me? Fuck right off. For like six years the most heavily promoted guy in the sport was Anderson Silva, he had all the biggest endorsement deals just like GSP and Lesnar, and ANDERSON IS BLACK!

He also claimed he's the worst treated champion ever. No, you complete utter twat. Amanda Nunes is the worst treated champion because she wasn't promoted at all.

Woodley is such a fool. Acting like people don't like him cause he's black. Black athletes dominate MMA and have been at the forefront of the sport for years with many being the most popular. Anderson, Rampage, Evans and Jones just to name a few. Woodley says Mighty Mouse doesn't get endorsements because he's black but those four guys I just named had some of the biggest endorsements ever and they're black!

Please let Wonderboy wreck this idiot.

Demetrrious doesn't get endorsements because he is the size of my right leg. I love Mighty Mouse, but the smaller guys don't draw, save for an anomaly like a Connor who is brash and outspoken.

I feel like one of the reasons Woodley feels the way he does is because people don't like him. It has nothing to do with his ethnicity. He isn't the most exciting fighter, his biggest wins are over a washed up Koscheck, a fluke injury over Condit, and an aging Lawler. He got knocked out by an old as fuck Nate Marquardt in Strikeforce. He probably didn't deserve his title shot in the first place, then his first defense ends up hella controversial. Find a personality and then you will get promoted.

I remember back before his fight with Lawler, on the UFC Unfiltered podcast he claimed Joe Rogan was racist because Rogan dared to question if Woodley could go 5 rounds without gassing out or something stupid like that. I think he's just mad because he isn't get all these big money fights with guys like GSP, Bisping, Or the either of the Diaz brothers. I sincerely hope Wonderboy ends him at 209.

Hendricks is moving to 185. His first opponent is scheduled to be Lombard. Hopefully Lombard knocks him out of the UFC. I've never been a fan of Hendricks.

Mousasi vs. Wideman at UFC 210(on my birthday!). I'd like to see Mousasi get a title shot if he wins. It would be five straight and in the event he KOs Wideman it would be four straight knockouts.

I think Mousasi is proving though that you have to speak up if you want to get what you want in the UFC. Ever since he started to trash talk a bit, his opponent stature has stepped up.

Bisping is having knee surgery and is out until at least May. UFC is contemplating an interim title.

I'm getting kind of sick of interim titles.

I completely understand your point, but Bisping is only supposed to be out about 4 or 5 months. Not a super long time. I don't think it is needed here.

If a champ pulls out of a fight, then I can see a interim title. If they are going to be out an extended period of time, then strip them of the title.

People think 4-5 months is a long time. It's not in terms of professional fighting.

Interim titles are bullshit. It's all for marketing and selling to the casual fan who sees 'championship fight' and wants to buy the PPV. That's what happens when you buy something for four billion dollars and need to make your money back.

From what I've seen it takes about that long to find a challenger anyway so probably not

I can see stripping them of the title if they're forced to retire due to injury but other than that it just screams Pro Wrestling to me and I'm not sure how I would feel about seeing that in MMA.

I just don't like the thought of an MMA Champion losing the title without being defeated.

and this is a bad thing? If title fights sell PPV buys and tickets then having them would be a good thing. Hardcore fans don't give a shit and just want a good fight but the casuals are where the money is just like Pro Wrestling

One of my favorite fighters all time is Frank Mir. UFC back in the day built up Tim Sylvia(man have we come a long way) as this dominant mountain of a man, and Mir broke his fucking arm(thanks Herb Dean). I was sold on the guy that instant. Then he had that motercycle accident and they had no clue how long he was going to be out, so they took his title from him, pissed me off. Then jump ahead a few years and Dominick Cruz is out for like two years yet they let him keep his title. Complete BS in my eyes.

I do think there is a palce for an interim title, but not in this case. It's not like they had an opponent lined up for Bisping yet.

in this case probably not but if Title fights sell money and Dana White is the money grubbing douche he seems to be from what I've seen we're probably going to get one anyway

Mir breaking Big Nog's arm is possibly my favourite moment ever. The roll through by Mir and keeping his hands locked before snapping it is so fucking amazing. Rogan going crazy over the ground game is legit.

I wish Mir was still awesome. :(

WME, the owners of UFC, are the ones pushing Dana White & whoever the fuck the new match maker is to make all these fucking stupid interim title fights.

So the McGregor Q&A with Helwani is going to a be pay-per-view for five dollars online. This man is amazing. He's making people pay just to hear him talk!

Watched Chael on the Celebrity Apprentice again. Literally the only reason I'm watching the show. This guy is playing chess while everyone else is playing in the mud. Totally owning everyone with his ability to talk and showing his genius. What a time to be alive!

Is Chael a contestant or like a judge or what? We don't have cable but they played some ads on Hulu and I saw him on there.

He's a contestant.

They had an episode where they made candy for Warren Buffett. Chael is a massive fan, has read three of his books, and new exactly what type of candy Buffett would want. He is the favourite by a mile. It'll be him and Laila Ali as the final two.

Fuuuuuuuck!

Not a good night for the bad guy.

Edit: People calling it a work. It's not a Bellator event if people don't find something to say was rigged. :lmao:

Cheal is one of the most entertaining talkers in the history of MMA but my god, if you're gonna talk as much shit, you have to back it up in big fights, & he's failed every time., or at least every time I've watched. :disappointed:
