MMA in the Bar room!! *In memorium of JMT and TDigs' thread*

So they promoted the Tate/Nunes fight to the main event.

I like DC, but he has this tendency to think he is a good boxer when he isn't, so any chance you guys see him trying to trade with Silva and catching one on the chin, or is Silva too far past his prime to rock DC?

Honestly can't see DC letting this stay on the feet. Anderson is going to be on his back for the entire fight, it's only three rounds so DC doesn't have to worry about the extra 10 minutes of fight time. DC has been training for five but only has to go three. I think that's going to allow him to keep the pressure on Anderson, force it to the ground and make Anderson work from his back.

DC will be dumb as fuck to stand with Anderson. Can't see old man Anderson winning off his back but if DC falls into the web of trying to strike with him... the Spider might have one last big shot left in the tank.

I can't see the fight going any other way. DC will have a size advantage, dude is a natural heavyweight, and even past his prime I'd still say Silva is the better striker, so he needs to take it to the mat.

I can't lie though, I'd love to see Silva pull off some crazy KO and just throw the division into chaos with Jones likely suspended and DC losing a non title fight. It would be like Bellator but with an angrier promoter.

Silva also struggled big time against Chael Sonnen who was killing Silva on the mat. Apart from Silva losing, no one has pushed Silva like Sonnen did. Sonnen could of won the fight maybe unanimously if he didn't get caught in the triangle or whatever it was I forgot. If DC wants to just win then he would be smart leaving it on the ground. I can see DC wanting to maybe put on a little 30 second stand up show though which i wouldn't recommend and it could cost him.

Would love to see Silva show the world he is still one of the greatest fighters to ever walk the earth and pull out the win.

On such short notice? Nah not gonna happen.

Happy to see DC getting back on the card & getting paid. Happy to see Tate/Nunes as the new ME as well, feel they deserve that spot more than Brock, who's rolling in for a one off fight & then just leaving again.

The Alverez title win was pretty fucking awesome, very happy I decided to sign up for my free 7 day trial of Fight Pass yesterday.

Sure seems like the Fertittas are a little worried that the MMA bubble is gonna burst soon and sold out at max value before the business declines.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz is a favourite of mine but the poor girl is going to get ruined by Joanna.

We got Polish on Polish violence up in here!

Edit: Woodley being champ is shit but Wonderboy will save us all.

Sigh, you just never know with these fights now. And I know the unpredictability is a good thing but having an undisputed champion is something that I think every fan wants.

Started with Aldo/Mcgregor and this. The woman's bantamweight division is a mess (albeit a champion of equal opportunity), and now the WW div.

Robbie should get a rematch soon.

Who saw the Wonderboy/Woodley post match vid?

When fighters speak the truth i.e it is ALL about making money, you do feel a little detached to the whole thing.

It's the right thing but ye, feelings and shit.

Woodley calls out Nick Diaz who hasn't fought since January of 2015. He hasn't won a fight since 2011 which was against BJ Penn at Welterweight, a division BJ Penn is known to get destroyed in with the exception of the Matt Hughes fight. From the last THREE fight drug tests Nick Diaz has taken he has passed ONE.

He also calls out GSP who hasn't fought since 2013.

What is this shit? Woodley is fucking terrified of Wonderboy.

He says, he wants the money fights. Does he deserve them, not really but lets see how he fares next.

Great main event. Rodriguex is my new favorite.

A judge was dumb enough to give 49-46 in favour of Caceres. Too dumb.

I'm not normally a fan of the Diaz brothers, but they are getting under Connor's skin so bad that I can't help but root for Nate to win again.

I want Connor to win by decision to set up a 3rd fight down the road, preferably after he defends that belt of his.

I want Diaz to make McGregor look like a weak ass again but I think Conor learnt his lesson. This is probably Conor's biggest fight so far because he just expects perfection from himself and losing to Diaz has eaten him up. I don't think he lets this slip. It's quite obvious that Conor is much better at stand up (in terms of finishing) and I think that he will not be just throwing random back heel kicks (shit like that) because well what it looks like is mainly just for a mental edge over his opponent and you just won't get that over Nate. I hope I'm wrong because fuck Conor and Diaz is the man but I think this is the third time in his career that Diaz will be finished.

I'm not supposed to admit this as an Irish person, but I was rooting for Nate, until he gathered his little posse at the press conference. That was just... Sad.
