*Merged* Who would you move over to ECW?

Okay, I have been wondering about this since ECW started in the WWE, and I need to ask this, so here I go. It's been brought to my attention that there aren't even fifteen wrestlers on the ECW brand, and I'm not including random jobbers that may come now and then. If you could take a wrestler from RAW and one from SD!, who would you move?

Personally, I would take Umaga from RAW and Kane from SmackDown!, assuming he's still on SD!. That way, they could have a monster feud on live television involving extreme rules matches, all sorts of gimmick matches and it will bring the ratings up big-time.

Instead of moving just a couple of superstars to ECW I think it should be used as a forum to showcase wrestlers from all three brands. For example, they could have guys from RAW and Smackdown that might not get enough exposure or guys they want to start feuding from different brands show up and fight on ECW. I can see Cody Rhodes and CM Punk versus John Morrison and someone like Chris Masters in the main event. This would help boost ratings for ECW and help expose other wrestlers to help get them over.

this is just my opinion, but wouldn't that make the best possible roster?
many people forget ECW wasnt just about Extreme rules matches and blood, it was about great wrestling...

WWE would never hore Pac. He's talented. But he only does high spots. He can't actually wrestle. Same with Jack Evans. You'll never see eith in WWE because they just don't stay grounded. And neither is talented enough as a mat wrestler to get noticed.

I think from Raw that Jeff Hardy should go to ECW. I really like him on RAW but his style is more suited on ECW. This may also bring him up 2 the mainevent level and then they could put him back on raw. He and John Morrison(nitro) had some pretty good matches for the ic belt so I think Jeff would do good there. From Smackdown I would say Kenny Dykstra. He is only being used as a jobber anyway so he should go to ECW and feud with PUnk, dreamer, ect.

i say take shelton benjamin from raw just for the fact that the matches he could put on with the young guys from ecw with some extreme rules would be absolutely absurd. he wouldnt nearly get held back in ecw the way he is on raw.

and as far as sd i say without a doubt make it kane. i was happy to see kane on ecw dominating the other night, thinking maybe its a sign of things to come. turn him heel, have him win the title and become a dominant monster with a long title run. eventually have someone like punk, morrison or burke beat him for the title and it would put them over big time.

I would vote to have Jeff Hardy and Charlie haas go to ECW. i think jff should because like stated above he just seems to fit and would also test the water for him a the main event(which i would like to see him in nowadays). The theres Charlie i think the majority of people would agree that WGTT is not the team they use to be(creatives problem) so ultimitely hes hold shelton back from a possible breakout, plus i think he would suit the ECW style with him just coming out and being the wrestling machine he is.

From RAW: Charlie Haas. I have always been a big fan of Haas (and Benjamin as well). I have always felt that Haas could become a big-time player over time, and I think with some time in ECW he could develop into more than just a low-mid card wrestler.

From SmackDown!: Kane. That seems to already be happening. Sad as it may sound, the only place I see Kane in the main event long-term would be ECW. Kane is one of the best wrestlers WWE has, and I don't mean because of his ability, per se, but because he is such a company man. He has been there for 10 years, has put so many people over, does the job when he's asked, etc. I have wanted Kane to be dominate on either RAW or SmackDown! for years now as for the past few years, Kane has really only served as a stepping stone, so to speak. Kane is not really a legitimate threat anymore, and so the only place I see WWE allowing that to happen would be its C-Show, ECW. I would like to see Kane have another run with a World Title. I guess I might have to settle with the ECW Title.

I will be so upset if WWE just jobs Kane to Big Daddy V. I'm pretty sure that is what they are going to do, I just really hope they don't...

i know, i'm just saying "in a perfect world" not that i would ever expect this to actually happen... it just makes me angry that they tossed everything that made it ECW and made it into just another pathetic WWE show

I would send Cody Rhodes to ECW in a cocky heel role that gets away with everything and claims fame because he is a second/third generation superstar. I knows its been done multiple times (Rock,Carlito/Orton etc) but I think it would suit him well because his Dad is the most memerable in the past 15 years or so.

From Smackdown! I would send over Fit Finlay and Rey Mysterio. Mysterio would play the extreme role and Finlay could play the "Hardcore Holly" role and get others over and to show the upper-men respect and how the business goes.

I really couldn't take anyone of smackdown they have too many injuries themseves and really not a whole lot of talent that gets pushed.

I would move Shelton Benjamin from RAW, simple because of his athletic ability & the way he is being foreshadowed on RAW by all of the talent, Turn him face, let CM Punk & himself put on Classic Extreme matches.

I would move Rey Mysterio from Smackdown just because of his ECW roots & his high flying style.

I would bring over Jeff Hardy from RAW just because his style of wresting is what ECW is all about, high flying, in your face extreme action.

I would actually put Jericho on ECW aswell as he could be the star of the show, carrying the ECW title feuding with the likes of CM Punk, Shelton (Drafted) & Rey (Drafted)

The only other superstar I would bring to ECW would be Edge from Smackdown, because the writers could portray Edge as the guy who has done it all, won the WWE Title, World Heavyweight Championship, but has not won the ECW title, he could have great feuds with CM Punk (or Jericho) over the title.

I would take Jeff Hardy from Raw and MVP from Smackdown. I feel they both would make a great contendors for the ECW title. MVP is a great heel and having the ECW title for a while would really elevate his character and his amount of heat. Plus the match that they had a few weeks ago should that they would work well together. Jeff Hardy because although he has made great strides on Raw there is no way he should be given the WWE Chanpionship. The ECW Championship would be more appropriate. He would be a really good face to send over to ECW since the only ones that are there are CM Punk, Dreamer, Nunzio, and Balls.

I would take Santino Marella, Cody Rhodes and Umaga from RAW and Kane, Mark Henry and Kenny Dykstra from SD!
In my opinion, all of those talents are being wasted on the brands they are currently on. Santino, for example, on raw all he does is talk. granted he is pretty good at talking, but he does have decent ring skills too. Kenny is just a jobber on SD! but if he was pushed in the right way on ECW he would be a legit contender for the ECW championship. Kane, Umaga and Henry could all be used as monsters to fued with each other.

The problem is that two wrestlers will not save ECW, but an entire roster would.

1. RVD - I agree with most who say give him what he wants and bring him back as the whole F'N show.
2. Jeff or Matt Hardy- Jeff would be assumed the more logical "extreme" choice, but Matt has enough draw and maybe a revamp as Matt Hardy 2.0 is due.
3. Kane- He should meaner, nastier than ever.
4. CM Punk- He has no other legitamate place in the WWE. He will be a fine mid carder in ECW.
5. Tommy Dreamer- One last run for the Innovator of Violence and maybe a new valet like the old days.
6. Stevie Richards- An ECW Original who could help reboot the ECW TV Title if it got reinstated.
7. Trevor Murdoch - WHAT??? Oh pick up your jaw. He looks like a rough neck, acts like a rough neck and his tag partner on raw is a dork. A good boost to the roster and a shot at a singles title run that would otherwise avoid him.
8. Super Crazy- No longer the tag partner of Jim Duggan, consider this a promotion and a homecoming.
9. Batista- ???- He's a big name with too much credit. He needs to be brought down for a bit and raised back up.
10. Chavo Guerrero- He's a good technical wrestler with a mean streak, but he is lost in the shuffle on Smackdown.
11-15. Jamie Noble, Shannon Moore, Jimmy Wang, Nunzio & Miz- all lower than mid carders that are underused, but with a TV title could make an exciting division.
16. Balls Mahoney - His look screams ECW, they should make his actions speak it as well.

They can keep Tazz and Styles as commentators and if they choose Kelly Kelly and Layla (make Layla the new Dreamer Valet), but guys like Big Daddy V, Matt Striker, Elijah Burke, John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin and Kevin Thorn should be suited for other show. Oh and take that non talking Armando Estrada and replace him with a clear speaking person as GM.

ECW may not be the ECW of yesterday and it never will be, but it can be more exciting with the right roster.

Ok, I started watching ECW way back in the day when it was on channel 48 (no cable like standard tv). It was with shitty antenna and everything but anyways here is the top ten wrestlers who should go to ECW. . .

10. The Dudley Boys- they can carry a mike well, and ECW has NO tag teams

1. Psycho Sid Vicious- They say he is in great shape now a days, and he is my all time favorite wrestler of all time. He cut great promo's and he was just this huge bad mother fucker. He definitly should come back and come back to ECW. He would own CM Punk, and then have epic matches with Lashley.

Okay, I like the good No Disqualification/No Holds Barred/Hardcore/Street Fight every now and then, but a whole hour? Give me a break...I hated the old ECW. I recently bought One Night Stand 2006, and I have to say, Rey and Sabu had one hell of a match, but then there was that Barely Legal DVD attached, and it was the worst thing I was forced to watch. That three-way dance with Funk, Sandman and Dreamer...man, I wanted to shoot myself. Whole likes seeing guys beat within an inch of their life because of so much blood loss for entertainment? Then that chokeslam from Dreamer to Big Dick Dudley...hysterical. No, no original ECW....go light on the Extreme Rules Matches.

But I thought of something else concerning the topic - I would actually take Carlito from RAW, and from SmackDown!, I would take Rey Mysterio. We don't need people to return at this point, unless its someone like RVD or the Rock, perhaps. What we need is younger guys recruited into OVW and FCW...then take the best from there and push them a bit, like Drew MacIntyre....he needs a push right now....

I think what ECW probaly needs is a new name and new focus. Instead of Extreme Championship Wrestling and all the stuff about being the land of Extreme its just pointless. Ive seen more Extremeness in an orange. and even Snitsky cause he don't fit any here else. all of the above wold help it bethe best it could be!

I think Tesr was doing ok there why not bring him back and hell I my git some heat 4 this but A train was a better big man then Snitsky or test will ever be. and Al Snow hello! X- PAC vs. CM PUNK WOULD RULE! and I think hardcore was cool in ecw as well.

Matt Hardy would be good for ECW, as he kind of fits the old ECW look a bit. Plus he would be an instant Main Event.

Charlie Hass, because he is a wrestler and ECW did have some good wrestlers in the past like Eddie and Dean.

I think that the WWE should bring abck Sandman, I like the fact Corino could be back, but I would love to see Lance Storm, Justin Credible, Raven, and Shane Douglas all back.

I think WWE should bringin guys with the CM Punk indy look, as CM Punk to me is only New Breed ECW guy that would fit in with the old ECW.

I wish they would have had someone better win the title from Punk than Chavo. Chavo just screams mid-carder. Its what he is. They should have had MVP lose the US title and then feud with Punk. That would have been a lot better since MVP has way more charisma than CHavo and plays such a good heel. They could have even had Palumbo as a monster heel. Making Chavo the champ just makes the belt look even cheaper. WHy not just put the belt on Kane. Kane deserves one last run with a world title and it would also make the title a lot more legit with Kane as champ.

WWE were just scared that ECW one of their old rivals might become more popular than RAW its main flagship brand.

Heck they are even scared that Smackdown might become more popular than RAW i think at some points smackdown with its cruisers and top mid card could be better but is supressed so that RAW is superior.

I think that if you take Kane to ECW Kane loses his big man indestrucible look because everyone just takes shots and big moves and is monster like Kane.

The old ECW had some good parts but it needed to be refined with more actual wrestling and not just loads of crappy guys hitting each other.

Let me take a crazy shot here but I feel that you need someone who Can work the heel and perrhaps work good matches with the guys that they have. Lets do something different, bring in The Truth and work CM Punk, Chavo, and Shelton Benjamin in ECW main events. Preferably with Killings holding the belt. Hey it worked to rebuild TNA.
