there is only a few ways i see it and they are.

like afew of you have said druids and paul bearer taking him up the ramp and lights go out.

2 by some slim chance he loses at mania i only see him losing to 1 person and that is kane. why because the 2 of them have had a career long feud throught the years deeper than anyone else he fought and it would benefit kane alot more than anyone else and hopefully it will bring back the old masked kane and kane could take over cause they have had great fueds and were the best tag stable ever. anyone else beating undertaker i cant see that and i wouldnt like it john cena certainly dosent need that push nor does tripps h.

i didn't really love the Shawn Michaels send off. i thought it was nice and not too big but i think it should have been....

ANYWAYS he'll get some sort of sendoff its all a matter of how big. if its something small i would guess it is him not wanting to have that big a deal made of it.

I am unsure whether or not Undertaker will get a send off. It has been said many times over the years he is rather dedicated to his character, which was highlighted by a report stating he was furious when pictures of his marriage to McCool leaked during his "Vegetative State" storyline. So I wonder as to how they will do it.

What I think may happen is that when he is defeated in the ring he shall lie there and his gong shall ring, signaling the coming of the druids which will then carry him out to the back. This seems most in character for his ending and will help to bring about future storylines about his disappearance.

Although on the other hand, it has been somewhat of a tradition to break character and allow people to come out give speeches, so really this is just as likely as the other example.

I would be sorely disappointed as a wrestling fan, if The Undertaker does not get some kind of send-off. However, at this stage, it would be fucking insane for the WWE to miss an occasion like that and the WWE being who they are, I doubt they would miss it.

Now, I am a big Undertaker fan and like many, I can see how much of his life he has put into the company and the business in general. Like a lot of other fans, I would tune into Smackdown to see his final farewell. Let’s face it, The Undertaker is the biggest thing on Smackdown every Friday night and when he leaves, someone is going to have to try and fill that void. That being said, we would all tune in to Smackdown because of the legendary moment that we would undeniably see.

The Undertaker retiring is going to be one of the biggest moments in the history of the WWE and they would be mad to pass up an opportunity to get some of the older fans back into the show by just skipping the formalities entirely. My Mum loves The Undertaker and although she doesn’t watch the show anymore, I am more than sure that she would be tuning into see Taker say his final goodbyes. She is probably typical of the forgotten WWE fan and the WWE would very much like to bring them back on board, I should think.

As for a tearful goodbye, I don’t think that is the way to go. I say give him a tribute show and some little speech from him. I wouldn’t mind seeing him break character but I am not sure that Mark Calloway will feel the same. He has built up a character for 20 years and to break it when he retires might not sound like the best option for him.

I'd use the opportunity to build up a major heel. Someone who's just running wild over the wwe with the help of an authority figure. Undertaker wants to take them out bad but is refused a match. Finally he agrees to a retirement match. Not a you lose and retire match, but a this is your last stand, you retire win or lose. Undertaker wins, destroying the evil connection gives a speech about how he has to move onto other things and is sent off by the rest of the WWE locker room never to be seen again.

I think he will have a storybook send off.

I think The Undertaker will just be sent off by a Wrestlemania match. Lets say it's 20-0, then after the match, Taker will get down on his knees and say, "It's Time For Me To...Rest...In...Peace." The lights will go out, and all that's left of him is his coat and his hat. For me, that would be the perfect ending. Some people might find it cheesy. But, I thin it's a great way for him to be sent off.

I wrote this in another thread. :)

It might just be me, but I think there could be such a simple send-off for the Undertaker.

I've always felt that if he was going to go out, it shouldn't be noted as a retirement match or loser leaves match, he should just lose and we never see him again. Personally I'd have him wrestle in another buried alive match and lose, only at the end to bring his hand up like he did in the Mankind buried alive match, give a thumbs up or something and have that be the end of the Undertaker on screen.

Then Hall of Fame him as Mark Calaway and let him do a retirement speech there.

The Deadmans definetly got 2 more wrestlemanias left in him. For this year i think Triple H. Why? Wrestlemania 26.... Undertaker retired HBK, Triple Hs best friend and Taker basically killed DX. This would be perfect for a HHH heel turn by getting the wrong idea about HBK retirering. They fight at Mania 27 maybe even put Takers career on the line and then now this would be so cool have HBK as the guest Ref. It would make the match a whole lot more intresting. Who would HBK go with. His best friend who he has had many great moments with? Or the man that took everything away from him. Either way Taker still goes 19-0. Next year the final match for taker should be John Cena. I would love it if nobody actually wanted to fight Taker at mania because of the risk and that he could practically beg Cena for a match at mania still win it of corse but he actually wants to face someone at mania not earn it or be challenged. He beats Cena and then retires quietly maybe appering at mania every year.

So I was thinking about how to have Undertaker leave with a bang. I think they drag this feud out with Kane until WrestleMania (somehow have Kane lose the title too). At WrestleMania have Kane Vs Undertaker in some kind of gimmicky awesome match that could make Undertakers last match epic. Then at the end have Undertaker beat Kane. He grabs a microphone while Kane is laying on the ground helpless. He tells the crowd how Kane is not the Devils favorite Demon and how the Undertaker is. Kane will then get on his knees and start to bow down towards Undertaker...like so :worship:.Then have Undertaker say his time is up on this earth, blah blah blah, pretty much a retirement speech, still with Kane bowing down towards Taker. Then have the lights go out, lights go back on, Undertaker disappears and Kane is bowing to nobody and that is the "last" we ever see of the Undertaker. (I am sure he would pop up again sometime lol)

I would like to play the devil's advocate here and suggest that when the Undertaker retires he should end the streak. Being the consummate professional that he is, I don't think that he would have a problem going out with a loss to end his career, if it could help put another talent over the top. In spite of his legacy, and in spite of his legendary status in the wrestling business, no one single performer is above the business itself. The torch must be passed on to younger talent in form or another. That being said, I believe(and this is just subjective on my part, obviously) that when 'Taker finally hangs up his boots for good, it should be at wrestlemania, with the streak on the line. My belief is that he should pass that torch on the biggest stage in wrestling against the one guy he has yet to face himat this venue, and that , of course, is John Cena. Superman Cena is about the only viable opponent that could conceivably end the streak, and not waste the incredible rub it would give to him and his career.(not that he needs it that much). Think about it this way, an Undertaker/Cena matchup at WM would be such an unbelievable cash cow for WWE and would pack just about any arena you can think of to full capacity. It would, in my opinion, be much like what Andre the Giant did for Hulk Hogan at WMIII. One of the most famous and influential mat stars in the history of the business putting over the biggest star in the business today. The match itself would probably see Cena selling 'Takers offense for much of the match, only to come out on top at the end. I am an Undertaker fan, and will be sad to see him retire, but facts are facts; his time has passed him by. If the time has come for him to hang'em up, then I believe that he should do what is right for the wrestling business and put someone over. End the streak. Pass the torch.

I actually agree with you partly. IF Undertaker were to lose at WrestleMania, which I would be for. I would want it to be to someone who ISN'T in the Main Event roster. I think the best choice would be CM Punk. It would be a shock and it would secure CM Punks spot in the main event roster. Plus I think it would make CM Punk the number 3 man in the WWE, behind Cena and Orton, and I think Punk could be an amazing number 3 man.

Creative WWE team - we all understand that Sheamus is moving along here, but, by ALL means - PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO END THE UNDERTAKERS STREAK at Wrestlemania!!!!

I mean really, Sheamus who has been in WWE for less than 2-3 years or something; to come onto the scene and end the Takers streak? I don't think so. Just like HBK, FLAIR, etc., etc., had a strong last historical and memorable match by some SEASONED VETERAN, Taker should be given that reputable cause, unless Taker says other-wise - Yes, I think Taker should have his opinion in that.

If Sheamus does end the Takers streak at Wrestlemania (which I hope does not happen) - I honestly believe that after years and years of being a wrestling fan (some) I will stop watching.

Im pretty sure there is a thread about Undertaker's streak so this will either get deleted or merged but i'll play along. I highly doubt they will have Sheamus be the Undertaker's last opponent. Unless WWE has MAJOR plans for Sheamus, but I do not see it happening, not just sheamus facing taker, but beating him. People can't take Sheamus seriously right now, If he did end the streak, people would be like "I cant believe that jar of mayo beat taker's streak!" thats how much of a joke sheamus is becoming.

As much as I would not want to see Kane vs Taker again at WM especially after their second encounter 6 years ago, Kane is really the only logical choice at this point for Taker's last match. Either Kane or Cena, but considering from the reports, the WWE arent even considering Cena vs Taker. Which is a shame, but I understand why they don't want pull the trigger on it.

Oh and you won't stop wrestling dude admit it. I can't remember how many times ive said that and I come crawling back. Pro wrestling is like cocaine

If you had read the rest of it, you would of saw it said "(which has lead people to believe that he might stick around after the PPV)". Which means he might not lose at Mania, but lose in a retirement match at next PPV.

Taker won't face Sheamus. Its a deliberate rumour spread by inside WWE sources to divert our minds. Later they will reveal somebody else as his opponent and surprise us.

It needs to be Kane. If anyone should beat the streak( hopefully it never ends), it should be Kane with their history together.

What I am personally hoping is that while he does retire next year, he'll be back at the next WM to face Cena and go 20-0 before he truly rides into the sunset.

Now, this may be a rumor or just some internet lie, but IF this is true, then this is HUGE news.

I kind of knew that Undertaker's retirement would be coming sooner than later especially since Shawn Michaels retired this year. But if Undertaker's retiring, we should all appreciate anything Undertaker will be doing from now until WrestleMania XXVII while we can. He's always been my favorite wrestler and not just the WWE, but the entire wrestling world will have to prepare for a big loss in this business if he'll retire next year. I'll be looking out for this as time goes by to see...

BTW, Kane should retire Undertaker. No one else but Kane.

I see where people are going with believing that this year is Undertaker's last year at Wrestlemania but truth be told, the man will retire when he is ready. There's no telling when he will retire, all that goes on right now is speculation - every year for a few years people have been making retirement rumours about 'taker.

Any 'news' that comes in about the Phenom retiring, I'm just going to ignore. Because it comes every year - and it's always wrong. Like I said before, the man will retire when he's damn sure ready - not when the internet is.

If it is true that The Undertaker is heading for retirment, all i can say for now is that Paul Bearer's return has been an excellent addition.
I just saw Taker's entrance live and it took me a few yers ago... he's giving great credibility to Taker as a "relived from the ashes" phenom and is also a "breath of fresh air" during Taker's entrance... love the idea of WWe having brought back Bearer

Apparently they're looking to bring Taker's character back full circle, hence the return of Paul Bearer. With this is mind, it only makes sense for Kane to be the one to end his career.

Personally, i'd be keeping this fued between the two going for a little longer, up until December, and then they go their separate ways (with Kane still being champion) for a while. The rumble comes along, we continue to EC and Taker should eliminate Kane from the EC match, but not win the title.

Their fued over Kane always being overshadowed by Taker can carry on, and they can face at Mania, but Taker should win the match (barely), only to take a major beat down from Kane at the very end. And i mean, non-PG blood everywhere kinda beat down (would never happen, but that's how i'd do it) where his limpless, lifeless body is then carried out by the druids, and then he's never seen again.

Taker's career ends with a win, and the streak intact, plus Kane still comes across dominant because he'll have left Taker laying permenantly. It'll completely mirror their first WM match (except Bearer's on Taker's side this time), and bring both the 13 year Taker/Kane fued AND Taker's career overall, full circle.

And then as for Taker's leaving speech, he should probably have the entire HOF ceremony dedicated to him that year, or at least make sure to dedicate just as much time as Flair had for his. You might all argue that Taker is no Flair, which he isn't, but he is the heart and soul of the WWE roster, and deserves to be acknowledged for his dedication to that one promotion, as much as Flair was acknowledged for being a legend, imo.
