i am sitting watching Raw and Cole has always been a turn off for me when he was boring he put me to sleep it made me want to turn it off. Now he this annoying mouthy pain in the arse who is irritating now it make me want to turn off Raw more than ever.

WWE need to end this thing with him ASAP he is NOT entertaining one bit watching him makes me angry that WWE is still running this storyline when is is obvious the WWE universe don't like it.

What do you guys think

I can't stand Cole. He is annoying, and obnoxious but he is supposed to be and he is doing a good job at it. We are supposed to feel that way about him. I hate him, I hated him before this story and I always will hate him. Ten years ago I just couldn't stand him because he was dweeby and everyone else made fun of him. But his ego has gotten so big you'd swear he was a superstar...no he's just an announcer. I want this story to end along with the anonymous GM to end already

I couldn't agree more. I thought last nights horrid gimmick match would be the end of this, but I was wrong I guess. Michael Cole isn't getting the good kind of heat. I really try to put up with him, but it's so hard at this point. I just don't get it. Like you said, no one is into this storyline at this point. My other gripe with all this is, why would the have Jerry Lawler lose to Michael Cole at Maina? I got the event, so I know it was a reverse decision, but still, it just struck me as a low blow to Lawler's loyal career.

I love the character but if he is just going to be this over the top character, he can not continue as an announcer. Its getting old. They need to either back the character off or have him transition into the RAW GM. He could build a stable up and be the mouth peice. He is exactly the type of mouth peice someone like Jack Swagger needs.

THANK GOD people see what I am. He's too over the top. He's annoying and he's worse than ever. How the hell could the WWE screw this up? All they had to do was let Lawler win and there's your resolution. It's done. But no, they couldn't give any of us that. Instead they prolong this stupidity for longer. This is like mental torture. I actually feel my ears start to bleed from this. It's a nightmare.

You guys see that article from a week ago where a lot of what he says he's actually believing because he's one of 'Cena's boys' Him really thinking he's the voice of the WWE :wtf:

His type of annoyance makes my intolerance for Vickies annoyances seem not so bad

I'm really enjoying Booker T and Josh Matthews on commentary. It's refreshing to hear different voices on RAW.
I don't mind Cole as a character shown once or twice during the show. It's a relief instead of this constant heel character on commentary.
I thought this was gonna be a great show with J.R. and King starting off... yet WWE disappoints me once again with this over the top, loud mouth, yelling Cole does.

I know there 43436 threads about how much Cole sucks but I don't care. I like this poll and I approve.

I like the Cole character but not as an announcer. I think he sux at announcing but dont want to see him just go away either. Bring him in as a manager. Hell he's doing a great job with Swagger, make him his permanent manager. Even build a stable around him like the Heenan family, or Jimmy Hart's stable.
Managers were cool back in the day but we dont have them now. Let Cole usher in the new era of Managers, but get him off the announcers desk.
To answer your question yes cole is a turn off, but then unlike some people cole never turned me on.

Yeah, Micheal Cole creates the wrong type of heat..the kind of heat that makes me change the channel heat. Hollywood Hogan use to draw 'real' heat when he turned heel and it was irritating but the kind of irritating where you hated him so much you felt angry and wanted to do something about it. After Survivor Series 97, Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels had real heat, the kind of heat where you hated them so much and they were so irritating that you wanted to do something about it. Both cases, i would never think of flipping the channel. These personalities did their job like very few before or after. But there are not many characters who've been drawn out for so long and haven't been well received like Michael Cole. You'll be watching Raw and it'll start to get a bit interesting and he shows up and just ruins the segment. He doesn't add anything to it. It's like the whole program is getting interesting and he shows up and it's his time to draw heat for himself but it's just so pathetic i end up feeling sorry for him after every segment because week after week his execution of a heel character rubs me the wrong way and leaves me uncomfortable. Yes he is doing his job, poorly, but yes he gets under my skin. His poor performance gets under my skin and makes me angry. I don't so much hate him or anything he's doing really, sort of like how I hate Cena because of how WWE pushes this average anybody down our throats and not so much because i hate him the person. But Cole is weak. He's way too dramatic, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and he's not that good at doing anything but being a poor actor delivering his poor script poorly. But that's it, Cole is reading a badly written script written by a poor script writing team headed by a poor group of decision makers who hire nutsuckers like the Miz and Sheamus and push them on us as if we don't care if the wrestlers we love or hate have real personas or not. Anyway, the character Cole is being forced to play irritates me to the point that i zone out or flip the station. I could care less if someone hits him, i could care less if someone gets the better of him. I just want to see another segment so i go watch sportscentre till his sad segment is over. He's not irritating like any heel in the history of wrestling. In my opinion, the guy has no business being in front of a television camera. He's boring, he's disinteresting, he's even worse at playing a heel as he was being a play by play guy. WWE should just cut him loose, he adds nothing to the product. If you're gonna dispose of Fit Finley for something as stupid as the Miz interrupting the American anthem, then why not dispose of Cole since he's just a big waste of TV time. Somebody dropped the ball on this guy being hired years ago and someone's dropping the ball keeping this guy around and giving him even more airtime. Even Mark Madden was a better commentator during his 6 week stint and he gets more real heat 11 years later and Madden's a nothing. So what does that make Cole?? I say fire Cole and hire Madden. I'd rather see Lawler kick Madden's ass. Wouldn't flip channels for that...

I was happy in the beginning when I heard JR but it seemed like 10 minutes later he was I mean I went to grab a bite to eat and check out the game. Then turned it on back on Raw to hear Cole being annoying as ever jumping up an down for the Miz. Come on now. What happened to JR and what was the point of him being at Raw when he is barely being used?

I think it was time for him to tone it down after WM being over. He's been annoying for a while now but it was entertaining as buildup for the match. But at this point I'm tired of hearing his voice for 90% of the show, especially shouting and just being overall distracting.

WM hardly ended any feuds or angles this year, pretty pointless. Everything is just continuing.

It's so funny how people here think he's generating the wrong kind of heat...I guess that's why his segments with King have been one of the highest, and sometimes THE highest, rated every week since the storyline started. Surprise surprise, the IWC minority is out of touch with mainstream fans AGAIN.

That said, it should have ended at Mania. And the way they continued it was ******ed. Since when does the GM have the authority to overturn the referee's decision? I know authority figures can restart matches, but flat out changing decisions? That's BS, and I kept waiting for somebody to change it back to Lawler winning.

But I have to admit, Cole is great at his character. Just read this thread. That's how you're SUPPOSED to feel, people. The only problem is he's around just a bit too much...he needs to stop announcing and become a full time manager.

While I agree Cole does draw good heat, it's gone too far now. Tonight was the first time in as long as I can remember where I watched RAW on mute. Once he started it wasn't so bad, but after a min or 2 I couldn't handle it anymore.. Hit mute. It needs to end, and soon. Same with the GM thing, but that's another topic for another thread. And for the love of the women and children out there, put some pants back on him! He's whiter than Sheamus is!

I want him off of the TV and announce team. I cant stand his Rat FACE. I would rather Big Sexy join Lawler at the table, but i doubt that will happen as he would probably be himself and say what Vince wants him too, but it would be hilarious. I wouldn't mind Booker but you cant understand half of the things he is saying.

Entertainment wise he plays his character down to perfection. That whiny, weaselly, coward that you just can't help but hating. It's just gotten to the point though where enough is enough. The WWE needs to have him drop this silly personae it's gotten incredibly stale.

Hearing JR when Raw went on the air was just wicked. I knew it wouldn't last long though. You knew Cole was coming.

I think Cole's character is brilliant. I can't see how Cole is generating the wrong kind of heat at all as his segments with Jerry Lawler over the course of the past 6 weeks or so have been among the highest rated on Raw.

Cole generates legit feelings of annoyance in me and that's EXACTLY what he's supposed to do. Back when I was a kid listening to Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura and Jerry Lawler as heel announcers, they generated the same kind of feeling in me that Cole does. I love the fact that Cole has reintroduced a concept to wrestling that's been lost for quite a while: heel commentators.

So you'd rather he keep up the same tired crap? is that it? You'd rather he get up on table like a moron on a microphone interrupting matches saying to wrap it up? You could actually watch a full two hours of just him babbling like an idiot and shouting at the top of his lungs?

No wonder wrestling is in trouble. There is nothing entertaining about Michael Cole. He stinks as an announcer. As a character he's worse. In fact, the only positive I have from him is remembering something beautiful that makes him silent or go away. My remote control.

Good heels should make you want to see them get beat, not make you reach to change the channel.

I really love his character. He could be amazing as a mouthpiece type of manager for a younger heel. Shit, he's been working with Swagger for a while now, why not just make the jump? It could be awesome. Either that or just make him the damn GM. Another role that he could play off flawlessly and they could even try to recreate the old magic of Vince vs Austin and try to create a new face for the company. It could work.

Regardless, he has to stop doing commentary soon. It's just fucking dreadful at this point and he's really taking too much focus off of the guys in the match. Get him away from there and have him do something better suited to his character.

It's not that Cole is annoying, because good heels are annoying. Cole is BORING. So is lawler in the ring. I felt bad for Swagger tonight. Swagger is billed at what? 6'6" 260? He's a legit all american amateur wrestler, former champ and he has to make it look like an out of shape, old man can hang with him?

The whole feud was boring. The matches suck because they're awkward, Cole's promos suck, King's promos suck an annoy me. Cole is okay on commentary, some of the stuff will make me cackle, but his promos drag on and ramble about nothing worse than Triple Hs. Unlike triple H, Cole can't be carried to an entertaining match.

I think Michael Cole's heel persona is one of the best things the WWE has going right now. I was worried it might end after WM, so I'm glad that wasn't the case.

Awhile back I felt that Cole was going to turn out to be the RAW GM. Then things started to point in a different direction. Recently, however, I'm starting to get that sense again, and I really hope it turns out to be true.

Lol you people say that Coles gimmick is annoying and overrated, guess what it's working. The whole point of Coles gimmick is to get a reaction from you the fans, think back to Jimmy hart the mouth of the south, he was soo annoying but that's what made him so good, as for Cole I think the whole thing is brilliant he's attire gave me a good laugh and his pre mania excersizing was hysterical. Only thing wrong with Cole is him on the miz's dick. Once he hops off of that then he'll be good

I wasn't annoyed, I was bored. I changed the channel to the Natl Championship game because I was so bored. I don't mind him on commentary, I think he's a good heel on commentary. However, being part of an angle he's awful. I don't really see much reaction in the arena so I don't think I'm the only one.

This

Michael Cole has been awesome all through this feud. You're all complaining that he's just annoying but that's exactly the point of his character. I've never had a problem with Coles commentary over the years and I think his run to mania has been the second most entertaining behind The Rock. Most people have been crying out for a heel commentator for a while and this has been great work from both WWE and Michael Cole.

I think Cole has good nights and bad nights. Also, I wouldn't be shocked if he occasionally gets told to tone it down a bit. After he hit JR with the sauce and we came back to find him in his box he was going insane, talking over everyone like he always does. Next minute he is calling the match normally and interacting with Matthews and Booker like a normal team.

In my opinion if Cole limited himself to a "normal" heel announcer during most of the matches and then went "hyper-Cole" when the Miz or Vickie is involved it would be better, like it was last night.

By the way, I got a pretty good chuckle when Vickie came out and the shot cut to Cole sitting in his booth waving his hand saying "Hi Vicki". He looked like suck a dork, but I thought it was really funny.
