The Oracle Arena in Oakland California built on the 14,000 crowd from the previous Meltdown, drawing a near-capacity 17,000 fans. Chuck Myles and the backstage staff were said to have been very pleased with the turnout, as well as the final product that came to fruition on camera.
"It was a very explosive show, and we're all thrilled with what we saw and also what's still to come" said Myles after the show. "And next week we have even bigger things lined up for all the fans."
Along with the qualifiers in the Pinnacle Pursuit Tournament, Mr. Myles said he had a few surprises in store for everyone.
"Well as we already know, the six participants named to the tournament will all have qualifying matches with each other. On top of that, I am pleased to announce that after the show went off the air, I had a talk with the boys in Northern Lights, and they WILL be making their debut in two weeks in San Diego!"
So on July 30th, it will be Northern Lights facing off against two other newcomers, 2Fly and Tristan Kist! Also, Chuck told us of another match to take place on the next Edition of Meltdown. Two more wrestlers will make their debuts as Everest faces off against Arch Angel and Mohammed Hasheem in a Triple Threat match!.
But that's not the final card. Chuck Myles said he has at least one more MAJOR SURPRISE for the fans tomorrow, a surprise that will be announced right here on WZCW.com!!
"We're very excited with all these new editions to our roster, and we made every attempt to get them all on the card for the next show. We've already seen Northern Lights strut their stuff, and Hasheem made a big impression on Meltdown. I have high hopes for Everest, Angel, Kist and 2Fly and all of them should put on a great show for us on the 30th. As for the surprise. Well, I had some talks with some people and let me just say no one will see what I have in store coming."
In other news, Joe T is officially out of WZCW. After he walked out on his match against Sex & Violence, Joe apparently walked straight to his locker room, grabbed his gear and left the building. Chuck Myles was seen by witnesses screaming and yelling at Joe T but T ignored him. When asked to comment, Myles refused, and said he would release a statement regarding the status of Joe T shortly.
