I would be mad too, in this day and age a job is hard to come by. He didnt get the job, and therefore is still out of money, kind of the point of wanting the job in the first place.

Right, but what if this was the only place in his town where they were hiring, I know it may not be that way in South Dakota, but where I live, there are hundreds of cities with no job openings whatsoever. So for the people that get job interviews, lose the job, and leave without any income whatsoever, it is kind of heartbreaking to say the least.

YOU HAVEN'T GOT THE JOB: You get the freedom to look round for another and hopefully get a job at a place with a bit more credability. Sounds like you're a smart cool person and McDonalds would just weigh you down. I'm sure you'll find somewhere much better with your A grades on your CV.
IF YOU DID GET THE JOB: The Hamburgular would have just stole your paycheck.
