Matt Taven Teases "Bringing the Kingdom to TNA"

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
As for his future in pro wrestling, Taven said he’s paying attention to what former Kingdom tag partner Mike Bennett is doing in TNA. Taven hinted that he’s not sure where he will end up after being cleared to wrestle again later this year.

“People don’t know this, but when Mike started at 15, his first independent name was the ‘Miracle’ Mike Bennett. The only thing Mike’s ever needed was an opportunity, and he and Maria are making the most of it. I text him all the time when the show airs, and he’s loving it, so I couldn’t be happier for him. We had thought about bringing The Kingdom to TNA, so who knows about the future,” Taven said.

He mentioned early on that he is "a couple months away" from wrestling again after suffering multiple knee injuries at an ROH PPV in December. From what I've read, his ROH contract expires at some point this month (March of 2016), so at whatever point he is physically cleared to return to the ring, he should be free and clear to do so with TNA, should he sign a contract with them.

Two doors close and a bunch of windows open?

I am not sure on who this guy is at this time. It would be nice to have another new addition come to TNA. Hopefuly his fans tune in to give viewers to the brand which would be awesome. Everytime I read the name I feel I know who he is but I do not. Maybe in a few months he will be on TNA TV. That is if all goes well with TNA securing the deal.

I called this months ago, when Bennett signed. It's time to get Taven signed and bring in Adam Cole to unite the kingdom. It's refreshing that young talent WANTS to come to TNA. Good riddance to Roode and EY, both are old and will not be missed. I alo predict Red Dragon will be in TNA sooner than later. With expensive old vets gone (Angle, Roode, EY), time to rob ROH of some ascending talent.

Three things:

1. They tried to get Adam Cole. He turned them down the last time around. Maybe that changes with Bennett and presumably Taven signed, but the last time they tried, he said no.

2. Does young talent really want to go to TNA? Or is there a specific group of independent performers who are willing to take a chance on them when NXT doesn't come calling?

3. You are talking out of both sides of your mouth when you decry "old vets" like Angle, Roode and EY, then talk about signing reDRagon, when 39-year old Bobby Fish is one half of them.

If Joe actually meant what he said, it would be hypocritical. However Joe's merely lashing out at people who have left TNA, which Joe interprets as some sort of personal betrayal. We'll see it all again the next time someone announces their departure.

You called that Matt Taven would mention TNA on his Twitter account? Or did you make a vague wish that someone you saw in another promotion would come to your favorite one, a rumor came along to support that, and you find yourself so poorly respected on this site that you feel the need to turn that into a situation where you can tell people that you're right? (Don't mind me, I'm obviously just jelly concerning your clairvoyant abilities.)

That being said, Matt Taven's a good performer, but I don't think TNA could improve their product by bringing him in. He's a mid-card talent (I don't use that term in the derogatory sense as most people do here- keeping people from getting bored in the middle of a three-hour show is a skill), but TNA's choked with that kind of character right now. There's very few people in TNA that could perform with Matt Taven and elevate him to an audience who's unfamiliar with his work already; so in essence, your net gain is whatever viewers you could hope to poach from ROH. He could have a few good X-Division matches, sure; but if you're beating people nobody cares about, nobody cares that you beat them. At this point, do we still have to argue that the 'quality' of a professional wrestling match is totally irrelevant to how many people will watch it? (I'm prepared to do so folks, I'm just bored with winning the argument.)

It's the wrong play at the wrong time for TNA; it'd be like the 2003 Yankees picking up another star shortstop simply because he came on the free market. (A more accurate comparison might be the 2003 Pirates, but hey, I'm feeling nice today.)

1. What the hell is Cole doing in ROH now? Not a damn thing but jobbing to Elgin or Jay Briscoe every other week? I'm sure he would gladly give that up to be reunited with Taven and Bennett.

2. Yes, young talent does want to come to TNA. Trevor Lee, Pepper Parks, Eli Drake, Tigre Uno and Everett are just a few. Besides Seth Rollins, who from NXT have done anything? Tyler Breeze and the Accession are jobbers. The divas revolution has been a big flop. Please don't say Kevin Owens. He was already an established star and had no business in NXT.

3. So what do you suggest then? Bring in just O'Reilly? That would be pretty dumb don't you think? (Assuming you are capable of rational thinking). So yea, bring Fish's 39 year old ass in also. Duh!!!!!!!

And this idiot make his weekly "I am a ******ed dumbass post." SMH...adding to my ignore list. Jeff Hardy, ECIII, Galloway, Tigre Uno, Drake and DJ Z could all have great matches with Taven, so that kills your little theory. How's your hero AJ Styles doing in WWE? Last I checked the old washed up loser was jobbing to Chris Jehrico and the Social Outcasts. That was not a misprint, he jobbed to one of those social outcast dumbasses last week. The best thing about the social outcasts is Bo Dallas finally got some new ring attire. I guess he read my posts about his nutsack hanging out in the middle of the ring as he was getting his asre beaten by Lesnar. It shows that someone from WWE reads this forum. Thank God for that person. I'm still scared by the image of sweaty hairy nuts in my brain. Uhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

If you knew anything, you'd know that Ryan O' Reilly is an accomplished singles wrestler as well as tag wrestler. He doesn't need Bobby Fish to make an impact in TNA. There's no point of bringing Fish in unless you only want to push an extraordinary talent like O Reilly as a tag guy, and THAT would be dumb.

Don't you think?

1. What the hell is Cole doing in ROH now? Not a damn thing but jobbing to Elgin or Jay Briscoe every other week? I'm sure he would gladly give that up to be reunited with Taven and Bennett.

I have no idea. I don't watch ROH since they moved to Comet. I don't get the channel. But if my memory serves, you are the type of user who conflates "jobbing" with "losing" as if the two are the same. They aren't. Regardless, all I was adding was fact for the sake of fact. Becuase he already turned them down once. As did Elgin.

I'd love to bring him in (more than Taven), but it's important to at least try and remain objective in these conversations.

2. Yes, young talent does want to come to TNA. Trevor Lee, Pepper Parks, Eli Drake, Tigre Uno and Everett are just a few. Besides Seth Rollins, who from NXT have done anything? I can't speak to NXT or WWE. I don't watch either, so I'd be out of my depth to suggest anything about either other than the fact that they are clearly a premiere destination for independent performers. Yes, TNA has managed to sign some new talent, which is great, but the premiere guys are still going to WWE/NXT. Guys who turned down TNA in the process, including Anderson, Styles, Gallows, Devitt, etc. And that's not counting the guys who left TNA for WWE and/or NXT like Aries, Joe, and probably EY and Roode as well.

3. So what do you suggest then? Bring in just O'Reilly? That would be pretty dumb don't you think? (Assuming you are capable of rational thinking). So yea, bring Fish's 39 year old ass in also. Duh!!!!!!!

I would love reDRagon. You mistake my criticism of your point as a criticism of them. It isn't. I was simply pointing out the hypocritical nature of talking badly about the elder statesmen of TNA leaving only to champion signing another.

1) You clearly didn't read my post before bothering to respond, because I explicitly stated that while he could have excellent matches, 'match quality' is not a primary draw for viewers. That and a lot more was stated very clearly; get a dictionary if you're having trouble with the big words.

2) You're the first person to bring up AJ Styles in this thread. Right about here is the point where you stop even pretending to address my response, and just start rambling on about the WWE, which no one had been talking about and isn't even tangentially related to the conversation people were having. If I had to guess, you're doing the whole "he didn't like my post so he must love everything about the WWE" cliche again, but your post goes all kinds of crazy here and it's a challenge to pull any kind of sense from the wreckage.

3-?) Ordinarily there would be more list items here, but since your post went batshit insane and I don't speak crazytalk, we have to stop here and hope the medication takes effect.

We understand and respect your right to an opinion. What we can't grasp at all is why you don't understand why you get mocked for sharing it.

I will agree that fresh/young talents are opening up to the idea of working with TNA. I believe that is largely due to the recent number of former TNA talents getting opportunities in WWE/NXT. That stigma of "success in TNA equals WWE banishment" seems to be fading. More opportunities will continue to arise with the hopefully success of names like Aries, Joe and Styles. Bottom line is TNA is a nice stop but in Western wrestling WWE is the ultimate goal.

I think it is unfair to call the Diva's Revolution a flop. While it hasn't been the most entertaining at times it has hardly bombed. Three young highly talented women who were called up less than a year ago have been pushed into a compelling story that will result in a strongly contested bout at WM. In addition to the title chase the division has a bit of depth or at least much more than the previous decade. Creative is getting the women involved and thats good for their movement.

To bash to NXT call ups is completely asinine. WrestleMania 32 will feature a minimum of thirteen NXT call ups. Thats is a remarkable figure. Furthermore more it is those NXTers who regularly carry the program for WWE. There have been some misses but thanks to the NXT development/adjustment system the future looks extremely bright.

Back to TNA. The recent additions to their roster look very promising. A lot of tremendous fresh talent to ring in a new era of Impact Wrestling. I just hope management and creative give the performers the tools needed to succeed. I hope for advancements in marketing, presentation, attitude and general perception.

Over the weekend on the latest ROH taping, Taven came out in crutches and confronted Adam Cole. He told Cole he was forming a new "Kingdom" and hobbled out of the ring. I suspect to see Mr. Taven united with Bennett along with someone like a Silas Young or Donovan Castle to form the new "Kingdom" in TNA. That would be some amazing and fresh talent to bring to the fold.

For all the TNA wrestlers who jumped over to WWE, I hope you enjoy being jobbed out. Vince will NEVER put any gold on any TNA rejects. He and HHH love their NXT darlings. Ask Styles as he's currently jobbing to the Social Outkasts every week and will job again to Chris J at WrestleMania. Samoa Joe's fat ass is stuck in NXT and Aries hasn't been seen for months.

Because the televised professional wrestling companies are absolutely famous for using their television time and production expenses to promote other companies. Which of course ignores that Donovan Castle has almost a year remaining on his contract, but whatever.

Have you noticed that you're the only one here who's talking about the WWE? There's no lead-in from the subject topic, no derailment of the thread that you can follow. You're crazyranting. Again, you're welcome to express the opinion, but by the same token other people are allowed to express (and support!) their opinion concerning your crazyrant.

How about this for a question, since you insist on discussing the WWE: which (or what) performer who has left TNA for the WWE or ROH do you currently enjoy?

Yeah because they're really going to run a storyline in one company so that they can use it in another right? Unless it's NJPW, ROH isn't going to bother making mention of anyone making a stable anywhere. They're not TNA, they don't need to try and make people remember that they exist.

AJ Styles is going into WrestleMania against one of the biggest names in wrestling today, and has BEATEN Jericho twice already. Creed aka Xavier Woods is one-third of the best thing going in WRESTLING today, New Day. The same New Day that Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega wants to have a match against. Samoa Joe is heading into Takeover and main eventing in it. Austin Aries just recently debuted on television at the beginning of March, how is that months? CM Punk became one of the biggest guys in WWE before his departure. The real question here is, what has anybody in TNA done when their names weren't already made elsewhere? ROH made Michael Bennett, ICW made Eli Drake, WWE made Drew, EC3, and Lashley. The very same veterans who made TNA what TNA was are leaving. They can't even keep guys like Bobby Roode and Eric Young, who are the biggest names they have left. They have single handedly ruined a bonified legitimate star in Abyss and made him this wannabe Wyatt family rip-off member. They've allowed a criminal in Bram to stay on their pay roll. I would say that leaving TNA has worked for a lot of people, whereas going to TNA has hurt a lot more.

And not ONE of those TNA rejects will ever get any gold in WWE. EVER/NEVER. HHH and Vince love their NXT darlings. All these TNA rejects are there for one reason....to job. If you don't see that, then you're the dumbest person on the forum. Xavier Woods is horrific, he does one move and tags out. He ALWAYS take the fall whenever New Day loses. He's nothing but an annoying spot monkey. I guess you missed Styles jobbing to Curtis Axel, that amazing talent. Lol....and Jehrico embarrassed Styles, beat his asre CLEANLY then shoved a t-shit down his throat. Lol...that's what the WWE does to TNA rejects...embarrass them and make them look like morons.

The very first person you mentioned is wearing WWE Tag Team gold.

Look here kids! This is the prime example of cocaine ruining your brain. If you didn't see its work on Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Rick James, and more then please adhere to this example. If you do drugs, you will first become a moron and lose all legitimacy you have in life, then you'll lose your family & friends, and then you'll lose yourself. It's not good people. DON'T DO DRUGS. Follow through with your D.A.R.E. promise and stay away from drugs.

Now, allow me to bring this down to your level here sir. Xavier Woods is currently one-third of the WWE Tag Team Champions, having held it for now his second time. That, by default has DOUBLED his success from TNA. So I would say he's doing just fine. In fact, the only reason why he was TNA Tag Team Champion in TNA is because TNA signed an already signed NFL Star and expected the NFL with being okay to allow him to wrestle. Why? Because TNA's fucking stupid.

Second, AJ Styles lost literally once out of the three times he and Jericho have faced off. And when Jericho shoved the t-shirt in his mouth, it wasn't after they had a match. Jericho had turned on him AFTER Jericho got pinned. Not to mention, Curtis Axel has beaten Triple H as well. He also is STILL in the Royal Rumble from two years ago! He's the best wrestler in the world, there is no beating Curtis Axel. There's a reason he's the only former Paul Heyman guy besides CM Punk and Brock Lesnar to hold championship gold.

And also, let's get over this TNA rejects theory of yours. TNA can't even find money from its own source of income. Daddy Carter isn't letting Dixie drain his money anymore, and for good reason. Every legitimate talent TNA gets, they over utilize for the first year so that they become worth more to the company than what they actually are. In essence, they can't AFFORD to make legitimate stars.

Finally, let's remember that TNA's current World Champion lost to Santino AND El Torito on MULTIPLE occasions. Your legitimacy for a world champion is null and void. Even Drew's biggest supporter Mustang Sally doesn't even care that he's world champion and she loved her some Drew.

I hate arguing with stupid people. First of all, Woods is the JOBBER in the vastly overrated New Day. Everytime the New Day loses a match, who takes the fall? You guessed it hoss, your boy Xavier. Xavier ALWAYS takes the pin whenever New Day loses. Have you seen Xavier actually wrestle? The guy does a move and tags in Big E or Koffi. Xavier is horrific in the ring, he wouldn't even make a good NXT jobber. I see WWE Creative are trying to hide his SEVERE limitations by having him tag and out. Pathetic...even Bram Stroman has more moves than that bum. And to top it off, the New Day will job to another group of jobbers at WrestleMania in The League of Nations. After that upcoming loss, the New Day will break up. Koffi and Big E will remain semi-relevant, but Woods will get put on the shelf where he belongs.

It's a sad day when someone mentions Xavier Woods as a serious wrestler. He's nothing but a jobber within an annoying group of buffons known as the New Day. After WrestleMania when the New Day breaks up, hopefully I never have to see that ****** on my tv screen ever again!

You can spin it however you want, but Axel got him a clean pin on Styles. No interference from the Social Outkasts, just a nice clean pin. That's pathetic! And if you think AJ will beat Y2J at Mania, I got some swap land i'll see you in Alaska hoss.

For the record, I could give a rat's asre about Drew Galloway. Please try and stay on topic. I know it's hard for a mentally challenged midget!

You're asking someone to stay on topic? You do realize that the topic for this thread is MATT TAVEN right? None of your rambling remotely mentions Matt Taven or even the company he works for. Instead, you've decided that WWE vs. TNA has to be talked about instead.

I'll chime in. I think TNA ought to look to ROH for some talent. WWE has been doing it and ROH is a solid springboard for both organizations. With that in mind, once you have these guys, you cannot rest on the laurels of "they did well on the indies". I'd like to see TNA repackage these people and find the best way to use and market their talent. They're doing decently with it in recent months, but I want to see that continue.

So yes, go sign Taven and others from ROH. A talent influx is quite necessary at this point in time.

Well...well...As I predicted...on WWE's biggest pay per view event of the year WrestleMania, the "TNA rejects" were made to look stupid again. Xavier Woods and AJ Styles were jobbed out by WWE creative. I hope Aries, Joe, and Roode were watching. Funny how all the know it alls here have nothing to say now eh? I called both Woods and Styles being pinned and jobbed out, despite the "think tank" swearing up and down that Woods was a major star and Styles would beat Jehrico. I knew that arrogant prick Jehirco would not job to Styles. Kinda fitting for Styles since he didnt' want to job to anyone in TNA. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Which has exactly what to do with Matt Taven?

I'm starting to strongly suspect that you may just be a computer script some truly inspired troublemaker launched here a few years ago and hasn't gotten around to updating. You wouldn't tell us if you were (you couldn't), but it would go a long ways towards explaining your inability to stay on a topic that isn't TNA/WWE.
