I wasn't sure where to put this so if it would be better in a different section please move it MODS.

Um....................You can't be a team your part of a team. I just don't get the question which two people would I rather be? If you were to ask me would I rather be Edge or Jeff, I would say Edge. He's main eventing Wrestlemania, something Jeff never did. I think I would rather be Christian instead of Matt, because Christian seems ready to Main Event in WWE. So Edge & Christian, I guess . I'm sorry but I think you put a lot of efort into a thread that dosen't make a lot of sense.

Sorry if I havent made it clear. The question is what do you think the saying should be updated to. Instead of Shawn Micheals and Marty Jannety, should it be updated to Edge and Christain or Matt & Jeff Hardy.

Hes asking the question in a really weird way.

The question is:

"Each team has its "Shawn Michaels" and "Marty Jannety", where one is a superstar and one is relegated to mediocrity. Which team, do you think is the new "Michaels and Jannety".

...and I would say Edge and Christian.

Edge has had incredible success as a singles wrestler. Christian really hasnt, and to a certain extent neither has Matt Hardy. But to really come to an answer you need to look at the two weak links in the teams. On Paper, Matt Hardy looks to be the weakest, but Christian has been in the middle of nowhere for a long, long time. When he broke away from Edge in the early/mid 2000's his biggest success was teaming with Jericho and when he went to TNA. When he was brought back he was given the ECW Title and told to sit there and shut up and really hasn't done anything since.

Matt Hardy had a very strong fued with MVP and it was due to injury he didnt end up winning the US Title. When he first broke away from Jeff he had a brief stint in the Crusierweight Division and to me hes looked to be a little higher up the chain than Christian.

What Im trying to say I guess is, Matt Hardy came out of the breakup better than Christian did, at least in my eyes. Although, lets be fair, its not by much.

...we can also look at the Dudley Boys, but they are both Jannety.

With all that being said, the saying wont change. Because unlike Jannety, both Matt Hardy and Christian actually had a career outside of Tag Team wrestling. Jannety virtually disappeared.

I understand the question now. You are not the first to say it. But I hate when people ask who the Michaels and Jannetty are of a tag team. Just because a tag team breaks up, dosen't automatically mean one member will be more succesful than the other. Which is why I think it shouldn't be updated, but instead gotten rid of.
