Is it just me on this but do you guys think Matt Hardy is one of the most talanted and most under used guys on the roster...Yer sure hes doing some tag work with Jeff and im a big Hardys fan but he deserves a title run maybe not heavyweight but US whats your thoughts...

No Matt Hardy is not one of the best performers on RAW

He doesn't have the mic skills, plain and simple. His feud with Edge was good, but he did not grow as a character after that one bit

I think Matt's a good wrestler & should be in the US Title hunt but they're too busy doing another stupid angle with Chavo/Vicki so he'll probably fued with Benoit for couple months cheating to win the title somewhere in there.

Looks like Hardy's fued with Helms might be over so who knows what he'll end up doing now.

I dont think that Matt Hardy is as good as people say he is. He does not stand out as a talent that deserves the Heavyweight title. And he would have nobody to feud with as the US Champ. (Meaning I dont think that any US Title match he would be in would be worth watching) I mean he doesnt stick out in anyway. He doesnt cut promos so you cant really get a feel for him as being a contender for any title. They just throw him where they need a slot filled with no real reasong as to why they are feuding.

If anything I've learned over the years is it depends upon the fans and when Matt Hardy comes out everyone stands up for him good and bad commentators are talking about him. He's all the talk in wrestling magazines. And besides noone thought Eddie would win the title against Brock Lesnar or Rey and look what happened, so anything is possible in the WWE. Plus why would there be so much mention of him maineventing and getting gold one day?

Matt Hardy: OK wrestler with no mic skills. So he gets a big pop - so what? He just isn't talented enough to carry a brand. Chris Benoit is able to do it despite below average mic skills, because he is that good in the ring. Hardy, on the other hand, is best off teaming with his brother full-time, preferably on SD!

Matt Hardy is alright in my opinion but I don't think he is ready to take the world title anytime soon. It would take a lot of build up and convincing on WWE's part to convince me that a guy who hasn't done anything noteworthy but get screwed over by Lita in the past 3-4 years deserves to be in the ring with a guy like Batista who Vince literally creams himself over.

Fact is Hardy only came back because the internet smarks kept logging into his page and hearing his damn sob story and took that experience to every arena WWE came to with the "You screwed Matt" chants and "Bring Back Matt" chants to the point where Vince is like "Hey wait a minute this could sell BIG MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!!" with that stupid maniacal look on his face and there you have it Hardy is back...Edge constantly kicks his ass then boom Hardy goes to SD...Edge becomes a Main eventer for life.

And I think part of the reason for Matt not being a big dog yet is the fact that he hasn't changed character wise, move set wise, etc. since he began he is just plain ol Matt Hardy where as Jeff the way less talented Hardy is living it up on Raw. Matt is still doing the Version 1 thing but until he actually goes back to being the Version 1 heel asshole character I dont see him taking off. He needs a complete makeover in my eyes. And I know I miss the Matt facts those were hilarious.

I say give him some side kicks maybe Shannon Moore and some big mother fucker this time like Snitsky and then he can start leading his NEW Followers of Mattitude with some gusto and with Snitsky there he has some real muscle to beat some people down. Then and only then would he have what it takes to be a world title contender. He needs an entourage.

I just think he looks really stupid with his arms out wiggling his fingers waiting for the twist of fate I laugh my ass off everytime.
The guy needs some added moves like a full nelson slam or some mat techniques like a mexican surfboard or something to make him seem like a bigger and better Matt Hardy.

I like Matt Hardy but I think the oppertunity for him to become a main eventer has passed. He could'nt have been more over than he was when he returned after being fired. If WWE had gone all the way with him they would have a superstar on there hand's. He still get's good pop's despite being buried week in and week out. Unfortunatley for matt his brother has returned, Jeff was alway's the most popular with fan's despite Matt being a better worker.

Whoa. Eddie Guererro and Matt Hardy should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Eddie got his shot because his was an amazing worker and had been for a decade in numerous promotions. Hardly a comparison in the quality of in-ring skills and creativity between Hardy and Misterio, either.

Hardy has the basic physical tools and has for years, but just like his brother Jeff, he hasn't procured them worth a damn. His matches are typically disjointed affairs and the ring psychology is just a bunch of strung together moves that lead to a bland and boring finish. He had built-in pops from the Edge situation and they let him run with the ball, but he still couldn't get the job done. Both Hardys are best designed for being in a tag team. Their rhythm in the ring (or lack therof) is best suited for that kind of work. Team Xtreme I can handle, The Hardys as singles competitors make me want to vomit.

I've personally always like Matt better than Jeff. In my eyes Jeff is just a spotmonkey, where Matt actually has wrestling ability. The problem is 1.) his gimmick, and 2.) him being used wrong. The reason his matches look like such a jumbled up mess is because he never really faces anyone established enough. He's usually in jobber type matches with people that are just starting to develop their own abilities. If they put Matt Hardy in a feud with Benoit (and possibly a heel turn), I could see him making a credible US Champ. If it continued, he could be a top player when all the big stars of this time (Taker, Kane, Batista, Booker) all retire.

i think matt isn't suited for singles action hes an awsome fighter ut without jeff by his side he aint that unpredictable. with jeff=high flying moves without jeff=grapples. i think if vince lets the hardy boys stable go hes makin a huge mistake. but i think the hardy boys will continue cause this week mercury comes back to fight.

Let's say Nitro and Mercurey wins they get the repsective brand titles so Johnny Nitro would be IC champ and Joey Mercurey would be US champ
but of course if the hardy'z won they'd keep thier titles

I wouldnt mind seeing Matt win the U.S. Title and then have jeff either still be holding the intercontinental, or regain it, then they could do something or other with that. have them both coming in and interfering on behalf of the other on the other show or something. BUT, then again, that ties up two titles wich SHOULD be the stepping stones to the next contender for the world title but arent, into one angle/story.

I was just thinking about posting this, and then I saw you put it up. I agree, because that would've been something new, and something that probably would've propelled him to main event status. I think maybe they should have Mercury injure him so he can come back with this gimmick.

In a picture, Batista does look like an animal but in the ring it just doesn't work. Matt Hardy would be a great pick for a title reign because he can actually work in the ring. Even though I don't like Batista, he does get pretty huge pops. The main reason why he is the current World Heavyweight Champion is because of his popularity and his look - McMahon drools over muscle-bound guys over 6'4".

Matt Hardy is one of SD!'s stronger in-ring competitors, but if he is to ever contend for a major title, he needs to be built up again. It was just a few months ago that he was playing the role of jobber to the stars. If he can work his way up the ladder and defeat well-known opponents, he will become a legitimate contender for a major title. He defeated Joey Mercury, but it's going to take a lot more than that for him to look strong in the public's eyes. We can't count Hardy out - at one time guys like Orton and JBL were jobbing left and right, and look at them now.

Yes, he is undderated and undderused. Most underrated and undderused can also characterize Matt Hardy. He has done alot for the buisness. He helped his brother Jeff make the Legacy of the tag division. IMO, the soul of the hardy boys is Matt not Jeff. Jeff is only good at spots and because he is good at spots he is getting a push but because Matt likes to do it old school he is the stepping stone of most talent on SD! Notice MNM didn't attack Jeff Hardy but Matt Hardy.

Matt Hardy can become a great Mid Card champion. Wether they move him to RAW and give him the IC title or give him the US title on Smackdown! He is one of the greatest mat wrestlers to date. He is steal considered to be young talent and he is most certainly not a cruiserweight. He beat Gregory Helms and that should of boosted him already to mid card status. But no they give Benoit who just returned off an injury the belt right away. Why? It makes no sense. Matt just came off a hot win by pinning his arch rival since they were kids. He should of came out asked for a shot recieved it and get a title run right there.

But no. I just dont understand it. So yeah I do think he is the most underused and underrated. Feel free to disagree but my mind will never change on this situation unless I see another talent getting burried like Hardy has recently.
