Mark Madden is a ho!

I can do whatever I want
Read his current article on Jeff Hardy. While I know many here hate hardy and what not, I acutally praise Hardy's decision to leave.

If he's burned out and doesnt have the drive anymore, I think it's great he's willing to step down. He's departure will open the door for someone else.

We have guys like Carlito/Shelton who have no passion or drive but just stay for the money, and it's pointless. Just because he doesn't want to stay, when he's heart isn't into it, and take up a spot on the roster...we should bash him, right?

All just my opinion of course.

(And I could care less if he's a junky, spot artist, who is a fuck up)

Er, where are you getting the idea that Shelton only does this for money? He loves wrestling.

Jeff...meh. I really don't give a shit anymore. He could drop dead tomorrow and I wouldn't really care quite frankly. He can do whatever he wants, but leaving the WWE right now is just a big fat FUCK YOU to the WWE, and is insanely stupid on Jeff's part.

But if he doesn't want to be there you think he should stay? Even though there are 100 other guys who would rather be in his spot. I'd rather him leave, then stay, be happy, half ass his way through matches, just because the WWE believed in him.

And regardless I still think Madden=Ho.

Quite frankly I think Jeff Hardy is just a little bitch. Yep, I said it. You know how damn tired guys like Terry Funk or Harley Race were from defending the NWA title around the globe? Countless other people have been perfectly capable of wrestling even when they didn't want to. Hardy claims to love wrestling, yet every two years or so he needs a break it seems.

Seriously, who actually wants to do their job? People don't get paid to enjoy their job, they get paid to do it. Everyone hates their job, but they suck it up because they realize they're responsible adults. Hardy just comes off as a little punk who can't hack it and needs a break so he can go off and party for a few months.

Sorry if I come off as a jerk, but I have zero respect for Jeff Hardy. He's done nothing to earn it from me.

I've already posted three or four times my feelings on Madden, all negative, but this time I kind of agree with him. But then, I have never been a huge fan of Hardy as his commitment to the business never really seemed all that solid.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Jeff hates the business, I just don't think he takes it as seriously as a Heavyweight Champion should. Besides, if he walked out the door tomorrow and relinquished the title, I am more then willing to bet someone else will step right up and take his spot.

WWE will just roll on like it always does.

First I'm a huge Hardy mark, I'll make that clear. But I also think he's stupid, reckless, and all that jazz.

But I just can't believe people just want him to suck it up and stay in the WWE just because they have given him the chance. If he is burned out and doesn't feel like he can give 100%, I'd rather him leave then clog the mainevent scene like others.

If I had enough money to quit my job for a few months(and pretty much knew I was going to get rehired) I would. Who doesn't want a vacation? It's just most of us can't financially do it. I do think Hardy is letting his fans down, and "punking" out, but I'd rather him take a break then stay, hate his job, half ass it, and take someone elses spot. But then again I'm a Hardy mark so maybe I'm biased.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I frankly don't give two shits about Hardy's drug use or whatever else. Drugs have been in wrestling for years and to single Hardy out of the hundreds of wrestlers who've done drugs over the years is just dumb. I agree with xfear in the fact that Jeff leaving right now would be a huge FUCK YOU to the WWE. They've pushed him to the moon and back, he's the #1 Superstar in the WWE without a question, wherever he goes, he draws. Whatever piece of merchandise comes out with his name, his face, a likeness, a logo, it sells. He could literally do a match and flick someone, and win, and the crowd would pop. It's insane. So yeah, him leaving definitely is a kick in the nuts to Vince, the loyal fans who, without them, wouldn't have made those 2 title runs possible, and everyone else who supported and backed him.

What Jeff is doing isn't right for business. I'll agree with that. But if you were with a partner you didn't like, would you stay because they love, believe, and trust you? If you feel nothing, leave. I don't like that Hardy is leaving, but hey... something.

And as X said, the WWE are paying him to do his job. I'm sure they can stop paying him when he doesn't. Simple.

In conclusion, I'm confused.

If i were Jeff, i'd milk this title reign as much as possible for the $$$, and then when they take it off him, then quit. Not only will he get more money than he likely will with his side-projects, he'll learn what it is to be truly burnt out.

This pisses me off man. Guys like Lesnar, HBK and Taker suffer broken bones for months before having it treated and STILL wrestle every night without complaining to Vince, so why the fuck is it acceptable for Hardy? You're not burnt out Jeff, you're on a come down.

Otherwise, yeah i don't usually agree with Madden but in this case i do. Most of the time he thinks because everything Ric Flair does is gospel when it comes to wrestling, and Madden is friends with him, then that automatically means he's always right too.

And did you hear last weeks VOW? That chick who wanted to ask like 4 questions? Sure she was blabbing on, but he didn't need to start harrassing her down the phone.

"THAT'S NOT A QUESTION, IT'S A BUNCH OF STATEMENTS! ASK A QUESTION!"

Well Mark, if you'd shut your fuckin' mouth for more than 5 seconds at a time, maybe she'd have gotten the chance to ask one.

Gotta agree with X here. Wresting has always been a business of intense dedication - it's an obligation, really, to stick around when you make it to the top. Instead, Jeff is going to play in his treehouse, as Madden puts it. It's a slap in the face to guys who stuck it out for decades. I don't have a problem with guys retiring at a decent age, but we're talking about 31 here. And it's not like he's dealing with major health issues - hell, Jeff is probably the healthiest high flyer in the business, considering he's never suffered a major injury from it and all in all he's pretty alright. Jeff could easily be sticking it out for 10 more years, contributing to the business that made him, but he's just walking out on it. It's a stupid and irresponsible decision for both the business and for him personally. This is a career we're talking about, after all. Lesnar might have walked out on the business, but hell, he had some good options lined up. Hardy's just gonna go paint. Also, if Jeff had a growing family, I could take this, but once again, he's got nothing. A girlfriend, I guess, and considering his track record, I don't see Hardy as a father anytime soon.

What I'm getting at is that there's good reasons to leave the business early - something more lucrative, a family, major health issues. Jeff hasn't got any of these, and it's a ridiculous decision. I like Jeff as a wrestler but if he really walks it it'll go down as one of the most boneheaded decisions in wrestling.

If Jeff Hardy doesn't want to dedicate 100% of his life and 100% of his time to the WWE, doesn't mean he shouldn't be in pro-wrestling. If the WWE will offer him a shed load of cash to come in for a few years every couple of years why shouldn't he take the opportunity? Just 'cos he may not want to die for it doesn't mean he personally shouldn't take what the WWE offers him. If some corporation offered you millions to come work for them for a couple of years, even if you didn't want to do it full time for the rest of your life would pass up the pay check? At the end of the day wrestling's a job, you do whilst the pay is good and it entertains you. Yes if it's going well, run with it, but personally if I wasn't happy with a job I'd pack it in, no matter the pay check, and we know nothing about how happy Jeff Hardy is with himself. If he isn't happy with his life, change it, doesn't matter what success he's achieved in the eyes of others.
