Major push for the Major Brothers?

O.M.G.
As being reported on WWE.com, it was Brett and Brian Major that were the copycat 'Edge's" from last night. First off, in the world of the internet, I'm surprised no one noticed this earlier, or at least that I noticed. And second, does this mean a push for the Majors as a heal team? Whats the thoughs on this new development? I personally like it, I was high on the majors since day one, I just new they needed a gimmick of some sort, and wether they stick with Edge or not, I think they got what they needed to move up in the Smackdown Tag Team ranks.

I think having edge as the leader of the team works, it does for the majors what jbl did for the bashams. make them a main event team without hurting the champ in any way

I think this is definetly good for the Major Brothers. On smackdown as faces they were sooo boring and had no gimmick, no if they can align themself with Edge the biggest heat magnet on smackdown they may be able to become a top tag team under edge's guidance....or hopefuly a better future than before.

Here is a quote from Edge to the Major Brothers after the PPV:

"You listen to me ... strap a rocket to your backs because you’re going straight to the top. Tag team gold will be yours!"

It indeed sounds as if there may be an alliance here. Edge and the Major Brothers would work pretty well apart of Team Rated R [possibly]? It was also said that for quite some time that Edge wanted his own stable, despite the fact he preferred Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch (which seems like an odd combo to add with Edge). The Majors IMO has potential but there was something missing that prevented these two young athletes from taking another step; that's character which can be provided courtesy of Edge.

The WWE is lacking good stables and this one could put that claim to an end.

i love it major brothers needed a ceartain type of push and they got it nice job by the creative team edge could eaisly take them under his wing o yea dont forget vickie is part of the stable to and idk i think they need a more catchier name but thats nothing that will come

i was wondering what they were going to do with the major brothers, but this is a way they will go straight to the top. i expect seeing them with the tag titles in the near future. hopefully this means they wont turn into jobbers like london and kendrick have on raw

Well i hope they form a stable because we havent seen one of those in ages. With Edge, Vickie and the Major Brothers, plus you could add MVP The group could be dominant, like evoultion was. But i really dont see much in The Majors. They have nothing special about them, but i will give them a chance and see what they do with the tag titles. This should help smackdown as well, as they need more heels and more stables as such.

This is going to be great, when i saw the majors, i personally wasnt 2 sure on them, they where good and all but wat was there gimmick, they were bros that was it, yes but so where jeff and matt yet they had the bros gimmik and they shone, they had some ring ability but i thought they wouldnt get the push with the drew mcintyre (is he stil dere) n dave taylor scenario.
Then they won a no.1 contender match n i though that was there push then mvp n hardy dropped the tag titles 2 ecw guyz n i thort wel thats the major boys out the window.

But now this coul be one of the great stables, Edge he is great, an excellent heel, he gets alot of heat, whether he is with vickie or is kicking boretistas back side.
This could lead up 2 a taker feud with edge n major bros finally get a push 4 the tag titles
major bros r stil very green but a learning the ropes, and with edges help wil eventuate into tag champions

This is perfect! Finally the creative team is starting to put on some good show and feuds....looks like someone gave them a nice pep talk. Edge wanted his own stable/group and they couldn't have given him a better one than the majors....it fits perfectly. This reminds me of team angle with Kurt and the worlds greatest Tag team.

Lets not overlook the fact that the creative team and vince are starting to put tag teams back in focus over the last couple weeks. We have Cad and Murdoch matches the last couple weeks as along with Londrick last night and we still see Deuce and Domino. This will be nice to have another Tag Team that will have a solid gimmick that we can believe.

I didn't see Armageddon so I didn't see what all the fuss with the Majors was until last night. I along with many of you think that this is going to be a very good move on the part of WWE. Seeing the highlights from Armageddon made me think of the Bashem Brothers and how they would switch without anyone noticing. It's looking like the majors are going to becoming a major SD! tag team now with the help of Edge. That's great news for the hurting SD! tag team division who's virtually been worthless since Londrick left for Raw...

The majors needed a push, and they got just that. I'm kind of surprised, since last i heard they were pissing off management. But i'm not complaining. I don't see this being a stable like Evolution, but i can imagine it better than King Booker's Court. Just add another impressive name in there, like MVP, or Chuck Palumbo, since he's heel now. Hell, maybe even Jamie Noble! But i see good things coming from this.

That was a big push for the major brothers because they were at the bottom and with the edge storyline it has made them rise a lil bit. I can't stand edge and I hate that he's the champion because he don't deserve they only gave it to him beacuse of what's going on with him and Vickie. I hope that he doenst keep the title for long and that edge and the major brothers get the revenge they deserve and put their dumbasses out.

This is the worst reply to a post that i have seen in ages.

To say that Edge does not deserve a World Title run is like saying that John Cena does...Edge IS a completely deserving champ.

It makes great sense (given that they are on the road to wrestlemania) for business (and kayfabe) that this fued continues to wrestlemania.

I would like to see a TLC or HIAC match at 'Mania but it depends on who is ulimately going to go over.

This could be a good thing...I recall reading a story about Edge wanting to lead a heel faction. I agree with adding another "impact" superstar...I think if there was a good big man it would be perfect. Maybe if Dan Rodimer weren't such a bag of douche, he could've been involved. This stable should be going places...

This is great, and now I actually have a good reason to watch SmackDown. I think this stable should stay together for at least a year or two to build credibility.
But around Wrestlemania, either Lance Cade or Kenny Dykstra should grow his hair longer and join "Team Rated R." I mean they both have everything to be a maineventer one day: size, skill, the look, youth, decent on the mic
Then maybe Shannon Moore could also grow his hair a little longer, turn heel and join in too, since he has great ring skills and he's pretty young yet underrated, this would be perfect for him

So in a few months "Team Rated R" would be like this:

Edge: the leader (Heavyweight Champ)
Lance Cade or Kenny Dykstra: the "future of the company" (US Champ)
The Major Brothers: (Tag Champs)
Shannon Moore: (Cruiserweight Champ, if it still exists)

What do you guys think about that?

I love this, it could go in so many directions from here.
The Majors and Edge screw th Undertaker week in and week out until, somewhere around February, there's a teaser promo campaign for the Ministry of Darkness, and the new MOD just thrashes the place, total mayhem until Wrestlemania in a streak n title 3 stages of hell match (regular match, TLC, Hell in a Cell):twocents: .

Please let this be the return of edge & christian style heel promos, man those where great. If edge hadnt ...you know....then id have loved for matt hardy to be the 2nd tier of this stable and they could have turned mvp face while they where at it ...ach well. I think another good idea would be to turn ol' punk heel and put him in there , hes totally stagnating fighting big daddy voloptuous or mizark henry everyweek on ecw, we could finally see punks great heel persona when as jbl says "the lights are on bright!"

Just read some of the smackdown spoilers. I won't give anything away, but simply from how they started, I can already tell you the "Major Brother" are going to be around for a while with Edge. I can see great things, but I can't see a 4th member being added anytime soon. Personal oppinion.

Personally I'm liking this. A new stable is always good, and anything like this, especially a Taker/Edge feud, is going to be gold. I only hope this doesn't turn into another Team Angle going into Wrestlemania 19, and then be lost in the shuffle within 2 years. The Majors have potential, but they are still young, so you can't put too much stock in them yet. You don't know where they are going to go.

Putting them in a stable with Edge is the step in the right direction. Edge has been dying to be the leader of a stable, which he should be. Edge gets tons of heat for anything he does, and he can rub that off on anyone that is lucky enough to be associated with him. Edge is proven to get over in Tag and Singles wrestling, so why not try te next logical step, give the man his stable and watch what he can do.

I think it excellent alignigng the Major Brothers wit hEdge. They are young talented wrestlers who put on good quality matches. This will be an excellent gimmick for them too. Finally we see the return of some stables. i remember loving JBL's cabinet, Kurt angle and his proteges stuff like that. Edge and the major Brothers will be an excellent sfaction. lets just hop that it has some longevity tooo it and we don't see the Major Brothers get destroyed by Undertaker and batista and never seen again. Finally some New Blood being given a chance! HALLELUJAH

I was actually pretty excited about this when i first saw it happen and the whole week leading up to Smackdown i was pumped. I loved the idea of a new stable in wwe and especially led by Edge and i thought the Majors were in the need of a nice push especially to help out the tag division.

Well all my excitment came to an end that Friday night on smackdown when the Major Bros. were no longer the Major Bros. There Zach Ryder and Curt Hawkins? LAME! Thats like John Morrison. "My name isn't really Jonny Nitro its John Morrison". So why do the same thing to the Majors? And make them Edge Heads sportin Edge tattoos and tights. Seems a little fruity to me. In my mind they should of just kept the Edge Heads as the major Bros but also alligned them with Edge. Its kind of sour now. Anyone else agree?
