No one seems to have started any discussion on this topic so I'll go ahead and be the first. These guys debuted without any fanfare, build-up or hype with what has to be considered an "upset" win against two members of the New Breed. They followed that up by having Brett Major lose in single's competition to Elijah Burke. So what's up with these guys? Are they in ECW just to advance the New Breed storyline or will they actually be lasting members of the roster? I guess they are a face team since they are fueding with the New Breed, so that makes them really the only face tag team in ECW with the Originals apparently on their way out. So..thoughts on the Major Bros?

Well it's really too early to tell what the future will hold for these guys. They could just be glorified jobbers for a few monthes and then disappear, who knows, they could even win the tag titles and still have nobody know who they are (Example: Basham Brothers).

I for one was fairly impressed with what I've seen from the guys. They've got great builds and are very graceful in the ring. They also remind me of the Steve Corino with their bleach blonde hairs. Who knows if what Joey said about them being diehard fans of the original ECW is true, if it is, then we can expect good things from them as they will probably want to do everything they can to bring back the feel of the old ECW.

Anyways, I hope they stick around, they've got the look and moves, they'd be a great addition to any of the tag divisions if they don't turn them into regular jobbers like they have to the Highlanders. I honestly don't think I can recall a single match that the Highlanders ever have won..

yeah i guess it is a bit early for their future, so let me add another topic for discussion.. how SHOULD they be used as a tag team on a brand that, at least currently, doesn't have tag team belts?

I am really impressed with the performance of the Major Brothers in ECW they are 2 great wrestlers and i think with their nice look they can be huge WWE Superstar someday. Both guys are only 21 yrs.old, I can see them becoming the nexts Generation Hardy Boyz that WWE might push their career in the near future. I also like their finishing move in OVW the Long Island Express.

Most of the stars in the WWE like the Hardy Boyz and London/Kendrick started as a Jobber in their WWE Career but seeing the Major Brothers i can see them jobbing for a few months. Until Dusty Rhodes/ Dave Lasagana the HeadBooker of ECW might actually give them the rightfully push that they deserve. When your a young and upcoming tag team Vince Mcmahon might notice you and mybe the Major Brothers might be a Huge Star in the WWE Tag Team Division.

They have impressed me but they just need to go threw the character development phase. They have no background that I know of besides OVW. I liked the Elijah Burke vs. One Half the Major Brothers match. I also can't remember there names yet :/ That cross body got me hot. Last week all we saw was a bunch of near falls from them and only that cross body has impressed me because I think there is a chance they have more to there move set. We just need to see a longer match including them and another team or one on one. I have to agree though, these guys have the in ring look. A lot of teams started out jobbing until the booking team saw something unique in them. Look at The Hardyz, Londrick, and etc.

The Major Brothers were pretty impressive , it goes to show you what the guys can look like if they aren't rushed in cause they have a good look to them instead of actually learning how they could wrestle with the other guys on the roster. I think this could be a nice build up where they continue to beat the others on the New Breed which would lead to Elijah wanting to recruit them for being better than Matt Stryker and well Markus Cor Von can still be the Enforcer of types and they can just dump Stryker who would side with the Originals and become the Extreme Teacher and bring in a "Teachers Pet"

i think the major bros r a great tagteam very tactical.....the good news is they have finally been added to the superstars page of ecw which is a good sign of them stayin awhile....check it out http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/superstars/

i would like to see the major brothers go on to have a feud with the new breed
no pussy fued i am something like edge vs hardy feud without the girlfriend involed
and they have something like a tables match then an extreme rules match loads of blood yaaaaaaaaaaaa

ny views?????? :dark2:

I like these guys and think that if ECW ever gets there Tag division going that these guys should be right in the mix, I would love to see them continue their feud with the New Breed especially if they put some gold on the line, and the WWE really needs good tag teams right now, this is a good sign for WWE, now if they can only sign a few more good tag teams

I'm not sure if this is already the case but i think they should start an alliance with CM Punk. Like they are Punks partners, they would fit very well with him in my opinion. Much like JBL had the Bashams, i think Punk could have the Major Brothers but they would remain a face team.

That makes alot of sense. It seems to me that the NB are through with the Originals as seeing the Originals are fueding with McMahon. Punk and the Major Brothers are both fueding with the NB and could make some very interesting 6-man tag matches. Plus an alliance with Punk would really put those 2 over which could be really useful should ECW ever get a Tag Team Title Division...hint hint. Excelsior!

I always picture London and Kendrick teaming with Punk. Burke can kick Striker out of the New Breed and recruit the Majors. L&K have nothing to do on Smackdown anymore, besides wrestle D&D every week.

L&K and Majors can feud over the new tag titles and it would help get both teams over by being near Punk and Burke.

I honestly dont see the big deal about them. Oh woopdy doo, he can do a cross body. Im not saying their bad wrestlers, but to say after they've only had 2 matches that their the next hardy boys, is a little upsurd

(sorry about the run on sentence)

Um, I don't think London & Kendrick need to be near anyone to get over since they are already over. I do agree however that the Major Brothers need to get over and some assistance would certainly help but there's no need to rush since they've only had about 3 matches. Also, Burke still needs some more pushes to get completely over but Punk & L&K are already there. (it's just there size that is stopping them from winning anything else apart from tag/cw titles as WWE doesn't push smaller guys who can wrestle)

To tell you the truth...with them not even being on a whole month...I think that thier in ring skill has surpased many of the people that WWE usually throws into the mix...if you watch the actual wrestling techniques of some of these wrestlers and in turn i would be speaking of the Major Brothers...then you would see that I would agree with the current plan that the WWE has for them and that would be them getting ready to hold the ECW tag titles when they debut...they are either winning them or contenders it has been reported...but then again, anything can change at an instant...especially with vince at the wheel...I just think that they are a great tag team, and that they are going far already...with only 3 weeks under thier belt...they look like a tag team that's been around for quite a while....
