Madden 17 Question

Something keeps happening after every single Madden game comes out that I don't understand.

I'm playing offline connected franchise mode, and it doesn't work. I take the game to an area of my house with Wi-Fi and it works perfectly.

I'm not playing online or doing anything that requires internet, so I don't understand what's going on. Has anyone had this problem or can help?

Note - I've checked several other sites and columns, and no one else seems to be having this problem, which is why I posted here.

Game works fine for me, never heard of this problem.
