Long-Term Planning For TNA

How stupid would you have to be to release Eric Young, Kurt Angle, STING and Hulk Hogan? Where the fuck is your head at?

Yeah I want to watch lame Eric Young doing nothing but hang out with equally lame Joseph Park...Sounds like a great investment. Kurt Angle's best years are behind him now. As someone else pointed out in another thread, he would bebetter off with WWE...so let him go. If you can't part with Sting and Hogan, then at least get them off of TV. They are boring as fuck. I don't know any nicer way to say it.

And pull the money out of where? The massive talent loss you suggested that could downright sink ratings?

Either increase the budget or cut some salaries. Either way we've got to go live every week. The off weeks are killing the momentum. I'm not so convinced the the 'talent loss' is as massive as you suggest. MEM would survive just fine without Sting and Angle...in fact it might be more interesting under Joes leadership.

Yeah, because the company's best promo cutter shouldn't be even close to your World title.

I'll be honest with you. Mic skills or not, Bully Ray is a joke as world champion and so is Chris Sabin. It's time to bring a little respect back to the championship, rather than give it to any swinging dick who wants a crack at it.

With what funds or time slot?!

Xplosion wouldn't have to be on the road like Impact, just film it one hour live in a cheap warehouse in Nashville or something. The purpose of the show would be to experiment and see how well another show would do under a varied format.

The rest of my comments were cut and pasted from another post. I was basically agreeing with what they said

Everyone has their own opinion...

I think as far as what we get on Impact every week goes, I like who the show is based around. Sure things could be better, but things could also be worse. I tune in every week. Sometimes I'm happy with the show, sometimes I am disappointed. Same can be said after I watch WWE.

I like being able to watch TNA every week and see guys like Aries, Roode, Styles, Bully Ray, etc... Mistakes will be made no matter what, some people choose to see the positive, some people choose to dissect the negatives.

to Killjoy, most of what Haight said was copy and pasted from my earlier post. So I'll answer your smart ass remarks about MY suggestions.
1. Continue on the road. You said "No shit". The post is LONG TERM PLANNING for TNA. Just because they are doing it now doesn't mean they'll continue doing it.
2. Refocus the X division to what it once was. You ask "Which was?". Exciting. When I first started watching TNA the division was solid. It has solid athletes don't get me wrong, but the division was much stronger in terms of importance. It's taken a back seat it seems these days.
3. I mentioned rebuild the knockouts division. You asked "With what airtime?". The same airtime they've had. They made it work before with the airtime they can still do it. That is also the same answer for the tag division which you asked the same question for.
4. 4 pay per views a year, adding old pay per views as Impact Specials, and Canceling Fight Night and Gut Check for now. You replied with "They are". Again this post is LONG TERM PLANNING for TNA. Just because they are doing it now doesn't mean they'll continue doing it.
5. I am firm on my suggestion of getting rid of the Hogans and Eric Bischoff. They don't draw people to TNA like they, TNA, and even YOU want to believe. People who watched Hogan Knows Best were a vast majority wrestling fans, not necessarily die hard wrestling fans per se. The rest, well if they didn't like wrestling before, they certainly aren't going to watch it now just because Hogan and Brooke are in it. The Hogans demand big money and I'm sure the state of the company would be better off without them financially, and from a creative standpoint.

I won't pretend to have the answers to save Tna or to make it a better product. I do think that Tna should reevaluate its staff and roster!! I do think Tna should transition from wrestling show to wrestling company. I do think Tna should shop a second show to spike or another channel. IMO Hulk Hogan brings no value to Tna. Tna should look into building home grown talent and stay away from some WWe rejects. Uhaa Nation and Adam Pearce are two talent I loved to see signed to Tna. Lastly, I think that Tna should hire different writers too.
