Man I miss being a mark like that, unable to tell the difference between reality and fake. I remember watching Fully Loaded '99 on PPV with some of my buddies in grade school and all of us freaking out because we REALLY thought Vince McMahon was legitimately banned from the WWF for life when Austin won. We were doing victory laps and everything after our hero finally beat his arch enemy for what we thought was the last time.
