Live Discussion: Raw 4/27/09

Of course though, we get it thrown together for free on Raw which will end in interference with no buildup because the writers are lazy.

See the smart thing would be to build MVP for a short program with Orton, let him have a long drawn out match with Orton at JD by putting him over really stron but lose clean of course. Orton gets a credible first title victory, MVP is given a quick shot at the main event, you say Batista and Orton for a more major show, and you don't rush everything.

I like that idea...You can save Orton/Batista for Summerslam maybe

This is still pretty good exposure for MVP. He comes out, works the mic in the opening segment of Raw, and gets a main event level match. If it were PPV, it'd be different, but for the TV match I'd rather see Orton get DQed or counted out - that way, Orton loses nothing and MVP gains a lot.

Yep. You build that up as the dream match taht we've never gotten for the title, etc. INstead, we'll get it in three weeks with a thrown together build based on what they've already done followed by 2-3 more months of it, all to save up for HHH's epic return. Why do they do that you ask? because they writers have no intelligence and Vince has no patience.

It's weird. Maybe they'll have him punt MVP, who will then be groggy and thus lose to Ziggler and then come back a while later and challenge Orton for the title.

I think this is really good for MVP. Long since have we talked about him as a future main eventer, and finally we get to see him get dipped into the main event waters.
Hopefully he won't disappoint

They could build him up also by saving the champion by letting MVP face DiBiase tihs week and Rhodes next week, leading up to the title match with Orton at JD under my plan.

I wouldn't rule out Orton vs Show at JD. I don't see a problem with a heel vs heel at JD, especially when the heel is Show, who brings a whole different game to the table. It could also set up a Cena return to cost Show the match.

Hmm interesting to see if they give Kofi a push now that Punk is gone and after his stellar performance at Mania or if they go with TBK on his first Raw match
