I think they're doing that because Orton is standing up to HBK and HHH in the back, and they probably feel threatened or something, so they're making Orton out to be a wuss as payback for standing up to them.

The point in making Orton look weak is because they want to convinve you Hardy has a chance. Most educated fans believe Hardy has no chance especially since were so close to wrestlemania. Hardy is still viewed as an upper-midcarder but not a main eventer. There making Hardy look like he can win with every intention of giving orton the victory.
